Until seven years ago, I did not know about this place, which is just off the I-90 Thruway; my soon-to-be husband introduced me to Stagecoach West. Since then, I have made numerous trips there, sometimes driving there(about 60 miles each way) just to get a small article and for the enjoyment of going through the store. On different visits to Stagecoach West, I have bought western boots, cowboy hats, English riding boots, muck boots, two English riding jackets, lots of socks, gloves, English riding blouses, a riding helmet, protective riding vest, English bit belt, LOTS of horse grooming tools and products, several riding books, horse halters, and, if I had a horse, I’m sure I would have bought a saddle and bridle there as well. They have everything you could want(almost; they don’t sell horses), quality products, and in large quantities. If they don’t have it, they will order it for you, and call you when it arrives, which has been quickly. Their supply of English and western riding saddles is huge, new and used, and of varying prices, and appear to be of very good quality. They have lots of jeans, other clothes, oilcloth and other raincoats, horse-related jewelry, and lots of motorcycle leathers. Then there are lots of the little accessories that are too numerous to write about. Obviously, I love this place, or I wouldn’t keep going back. My only complaint is that I wish they had more in stock of the different sizes of Ovation and Dublin Riverboots and Noble & Mudd muck boots, and I wish they carried Dubarry boots. But I would drive to Stagecoach West even if it was 120 miles away each way.

Gotta love Stagecoach West! Pretty much the only place around where you can physically go and get great quality horse products at fair prices. They have, literally, everything you could need for your horse and whatever discipline you ride. English gear, western gear… medications, supplements, blankets, tack. they also have a sweet saddle selection and they consign saddles as well, so if you aren’t looking for anything brand, spanking new… come here and see what they got. For some things… I don’t always like to go on the internet for. Especially horse items. So this place is great for me to browse. They also have Breyer horses, toys, some western clothing, and definitely tons of boots. Worth the trip… will definitely be back out soon!

Another 5 star! Though this place might be known for the boots and horse gear — there is a whole lot more then that. I looked all over for a garden pond and couldn’t find one big enough and cheap enough until I talked to the folks at this place. What I found there — for an incredible price based on what pet stores are selling garden ponds for, was a huge round animal water basin! That’s right — they don’t sell them as garden ponds, but they work great. Dug a huge hole — buried the thing — put stones around it and the koi, turtles and frogs all over it. Have a smaller one from the same place right above it so one flows into the other! This place is also the only place I could find a German Shepard calendar — year after year — we just go there instead of searching and never finding one until we get back to Stagecoach! Also — there are many other items and believe me — they are reasonably priced — you will never know what you will find until you step into the country — cowboy and Indian territory for sure! One last thing — I didn’t find shopping for boots here to be easy at all — far too many to select from! I am selecting inexpensive as the price range, but some things are moderately priced as well.

If you’re looking for horse riding equipment or cowboy boots & hats, then you go here. I was looking for a nice pair of Minnetonka mocs & found ‘em! Wish the M/tonka selection had been much bigger & they play country music(naturally) but it’s not a bad place to stop if you’re driving down that way or passing by.
