My first time ever eating at a Taco Bueno and we loved it! Food was tasty and fresh, dining area was clean, servers were friendly. We will definitely be back anytime we are in the area!

I’m not even a Taco Bueno customer normally. However this location was very fast, clean, and the employees friendly. And pretty good for fast food Tex Mex. Visited on Saturday Dec 26th. I think they made me a customer.

I’ve been coming to this location for some time and even some of the same people are still at this location! What do you expect from a fast food joint? Gourmet service with a maitre’d? Ha! Good one. My bueno chilada platter has always turned out right as well as a nacho salad whenever I ordered it. Whenever I’m running through town to see my friends, I usually stop by here on the way from the airport or even to the airport. This place has done well for my appetite and I. Easy on the wallet and great for people watching.

mmmmmm taco bueno is one of my favorite fast food Mexican places. However, this review is mainly on the service here. Eating in, I can get as much salsa as I want, so there isn’t an issue here, however, this location inside is not always clean. It just seems very disheveled every time I come here. Then for drive thru, I feel like they want to charge me for all the extra salsa I want. I just ask for 2 for each item I received, and they can never give me that for some reason. I don’t understand why because other locations will give me extra if I ask for it. Sometimes, I just go inside, and then I will ask for a water cup and fill that cup up with salsa! Just to make sure I have enough. Yes I do like some mexican food with my salsa =)

Get an ugly face when I ask for hot sauce for the past 3 times. I learned my lesson and will not be going back to this location.

This place needs to be closed ASAP. I ordered a plate of nachos and there was hardly any toppings on it. There was nothing but a ton of chips and a few tomatoes. Totally a waste of money. Don’t go here!

I will never set foot in this place again. The food is ok for fast tex mex but the place is absolutely unsanitary. The first time we went, we ate our whole meal(with our kids) and at the end of the meal my daughter holds up something she found on the table… it was a huge dirty fingernail! That should have been it for us, but my wife insisted a few weeks later… she spent the rest of the night and part of the next day in the bathroom. AVOID. Unless you want hepatitis.

Ok. You usually can’t go wrong with mexi-dip and chips. I ordered this minus guacamole sub beans. I specifically asked for no cheese on the beans and for a side of jalapeños(mind this was all in the drive through). Sure! Was the response. I get home to find out there is guacamole, cheese on the beans, and no jalapeños. Why didn’t I look in the drive-thru? There was a car behind me and that’s what I get for«assuming» the simple order was correct. Bust!

Beware the salsa cops work here. I mean serious. Don’t they realize that to make the food more palatable you must use a bucket load of salsa with every meal? I’d say no thanks to this location for sure as they watch you as if you were going to steal gold from fort knox and then confront you to sell you a medium soft drink cup of the stuff — no thanks!

Better than Taco Bell which was surprising to me. Nice salsa bar and fresher meats and ingredients. Good for a fast food joint. Definitely didn’t expect how fresh it seemed. Might be my new mainstay got fast food Mexican since Taco Bell seems to be horrible in Texas.

I adore Taco Bueno — it’s my favorite fast-food Tex-Mex joint. I’m pretty sure they don’t use too much in the way of preservatives. I saw something in the drive-thru window about no preservatives, but I haven’t done any research into it or anything. It’s not very crowded, at least it wasn’t when we went. I like everything on the menu that I’ve tried(which, over the years, has been most of it!), but I always end up going back to the nacho salad, taco salad, or fajita tacos. Sometimes chicken potato burritos(carb overload!). I ADORE their hot sauce — it’s actually a salsa rather than a taco sauce/hot sauce. If you dine in, they have a salsa bar so you can get as much of it as your heart desires. The salsa bar also features jalapenos and pico de gallo. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was nice! Into it.

I’m sorry. But the food here is nasty. I rather eat Taco Bell over this anyway… no bueno.

We drove around in circles looking for this place because everyone’s reviews were good. Finally found it after 20 minutes of circles and the food was not great at all and gave my buddy the BGs. Taco Bueno No Bueno!

Um, I want to go back to Texas just for Taco Bueno. My boyfriend bragged and bragged about Taco Bueno and I was a hater for awhile because I think he was exaggerating about this place. No, he wasn’t —-It’s that good! Yeah we went here after a few drinks but the two pound serving of nachos I got were one of the most delicious things I’ve ever had. Ooey, gooey, cheesy, spicy – it was everything that a nacho dream consists of. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place, if it would be a craptastic Taco Bell knockoff or what but it’s like what Taco Bell aspires to be but on steroids. My only question is… when can I go to Texas again?

I’m new to the area. But as soon as I drove around here, I saw and wanted to try these places called Taco Bueno! I loved the name. I thought it was awesome. So, last night, I went there for dinner. I was expecting a Taco Bell kinda thing, as I am from Boston and that’s all I know for fast food mexican stuff. I walked into this place last night, and there was no one there. I have been told that no one in the South eats INSIDE a fast-food place, but I do. I’m from Boston. I don’t like to stink up my car with fast food or spill crap everywhere. So I went in. Clean place! Super clean. Probably because no one eats inside Fast Food places here! Anyhow I had never been here and had no clue what to order, so I ignored the numbered meals and just ordered 1 of the first 4 things I saw on the left: A brisket taco(*new*), a beef crunchy taco, a chicken soft taco and a «muchacho» taco which had an awesome name so I had to order it. The beef and chicken taco were… OK. I think Taco Bell’s stuff has more flavor — these tasted blander but fresher, if that makes any kind of sense. The brisket taco was frickin AWESOME. All melty and cheesy. LOVED it. The Muchacho taco not only has an awesome name but awesome flavor as well! It’s a taco with beef and beans and the usual(tomatoes, lettuce, etc) in this fried kinda pita bread shell? It was slightly crunchy and sott and warm all at the same time. It was awesome. So, if you go here, skip the regular tacos and go straight for the brisket and Muchacho tacos! Awesomely flavorful!!!

If you want Tex-Mex but you’re on a budget, Taco Bueno is the way to… preferably this location if getting there and parking is not an issue with you. Their ingredients are fresh, their food is made to order, their facility is clean and the staff is hardly busy.

Love this particular Taco Bueno… Always very clean, and rarely busy. Food is always fresh and fast. And, as with all taco bueno’s, you get a good bang for your buck. It’s kinda difficult to get to the parking lot from MacArthur as you have to cut through the Shell station, but it’s quickly forgotten while munching down a couple of muchaco’s, piled high with pico, and salsa. Easy location to get to, quick service for greasy food — what fast food is supposed to be. Had the chicken potato burrito, where the ‘potato’ is sort of like chopped up hash browns. Surprisingly filling for $ 1.70. I’d go back if I’m in a hurry to get to DFW again.

If you have not experienced Bueno… I’m sorry… because every Taco Bueno is the bomb squad! No need to critique the cleanliness or attitude of the staff(even if they slap you in the face)…just drive thru, order anything and go home happy. There is no bad Bueno! Personal favorites — Mucho Tostado, Party Tacos, Party Burritos and the Mexi Dips and Chips… deeeeelicious! Rock on Bueno Heads!!!
