The Boardroom Salon for Men

Made an appointment for my first trip, but I was in and out. Just got a cut. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and Christian did a great job. Work in the area so I will definitely be back for my next cut.

Twice, I have received brutal haircuts from inexperienced people @ The Boardroom in Irving.
The most recent experience the person giving the haircut stopped and requested the assistance of another person for a suggestion. The conversation, «Should you I stop cutting in this section?» with a surprised look of the question, the other responded. «Oh Ya» and walked away.
It does not appear the management is vetting out the hair stylists.
I provided them not one, but two opportunities to show the quality that is being rated by many others.
Moving on to somewhere else.

Was a nice place but not for me. When I got there it was 12:50 and my appt was at 1. I was first one in the door yet 3 other people came in and got escorted strait to the barbers chair while I was to sit and wait. The service was great but I mean come on you can go to a sports clips or something similar and get the same haircut without the ridiculous price it was over 50 $ for a trim of my beard and hair and the haircut itself wasn’t any better than you can get at a regular hair store but I guess the thinking is they give you a beer when you walk through the door so if you are looking for a less than average haircut with a free beer which I’m sure they include in the haircut because let’s face it nothing is free but if that’s your cup of tea for a overpriced average haircut then this is definitely the place to be for those overachievers who think just because it’s a upscale place it’s gotta be good. Definitely WONT be back to this place

Finally found a place where they know how to cut my hair properly and the patience of checking in with you constantly as your transformation takes place. Vianey cut my hair and her professional advice and experience was stupendous. Definitely would recommend and go back to the place to get my haircut again.
I recommend Vianey anyday and to all the Unilocalers give this place a shot it will be worth it

Salon:
Clean environment. Excellent customer service. Location is in close proximity to several restaurants, and coffee shops. And you can always find parking.
Stylist:
I received my haircut from Kylie. She’s really friendly, and an expert stylist. She’s aware of current hair trends, and skilled enough to easily create the look that you’re going for.

Manager was kind enough to get back to me with this issue. Really appreciate good customer service.

I took my dad here for his birthday and he loved it. He’s not the kind of guy that would go to (or pay) for this level of attention to detail so I treated him. Renee and Vanessa took care of us and did a great job. Renee is my usual stylist she makes the $ worth it. Though I love the place I live that if Renee were to leave I would be a loyal customer wherever she ended up.

I NEVER write reviews but this place is awesome! Great atmosphere, nice receptionist, wonderful hair cuts and complimentary beer. I am extremely picky with my hair and Vianye ALWAYS does a wonderful job!

Excellent salon for men! If you want the best haircut and service of your life (and you’re a guy) you have to experience this place. I am a member for that reason and all stylist I’ve ever had at The Boardroom are top notch. Renee, however is probably the best stylist I’ve had in my life and is at this location.

The actual haircut experience part of benchmark service was very poor. It’s like in the cheap haircuts, what number do you want and then done in 5 mins despite trying to tell what you want. Disappointment was on that no inputs or discussion was done on the hair cut. My guess is as the stylist started 10 mins late she just rushed through. However the other services part of benchmark (sadly except for the main hair cut) was good.

A bit expensive however finally a place a man can go and get upscale treatment without having to go to a female salon. I highly recommend this place.

Let me start by saying that this is not my first time with The Boardroom Salon. I’ve been to the uptown location when I was living there. But once I moved to the Irving area, I’ve been going to a cheaper ‘chain’ salon and wasn’t too happy about it.
I stumbled upon this place in Irving when I was on a coffee run (there’s a Starbucks right next to it) and thought of giving it a shot. I booked the appointment for a Saturday morning and showed up 5 mins early. Similar to the uptown location, the staff were super courteous and offered a beverage while I waited for my stylist — Vanessa.
My hair is not that easy to work with; I have ‘wavy’ hair. I’ve been to so many places but never completely satisfied with the cut. Lo and behold — this is where Vanessa did her magic. She knows what she’s doing. Absolutely the best cut I’ve had in a very long time — even better than the experience I had in the uptown location.
The only minor thing I faced was that — I booked for a benchmark but I got the express cut. The staff acknowledged the minor miscommunication and promised me a free benchmark on my next visit. I’m already a happy customer and this just meant that they take care of their customers. For the first time, my wife loved my haircut too. Ha!
I’ve never written a review on Unilocal before but I was convinced that I should write one for The Boardroom and Vanessa. I’ll definitely recommend this place to my friends.

I finally went in for my head shave and beard shave and Renee was awesome… the receptionist when I walked in was friendly and attentive. Even though it started off rocky I must say my experience with Boardroom Salon was a great one especially with a wonderful and fun stylist like Renee whose been in the business for a long time. Thanks to Bruce I will have a free head shave in the future. Also BIG thanks to Bruce for being attentive and addressing my issue.

This place is truly a gentleman’s gem.
The level of service is exceptional. You’re treated like your patronage truly matters, and that they want you to return. The ladies cutting hair are very kind and personable, and make you feel welcome.
Easily one of the best haircuts I’ve gotten in years, they definitely know what they are doing here. They take the time at the start of your appointment to make recommendations, which is great. They take their time and make sure they are providing the best service possible. It really is quite a relaxing experience.
The only slight downside is the price is rather steep. That being said, it’s money i will gladly spend to have such phenomenal service. I will certainly be back, and definitely recommend it to anyone who’s looking for something new.

So frustrated! Scheduled a haircut and beard trim for my husband as a little pre job interview encouragement. First of all we had no idea it would be $ 62 for sport clips quality in a fancy setting. The haircut is decent but no better than his usual sport clips cut. The frustration comes in paying $ 22 for a «beard trim» if you can call it that. He came home with his beard looking the same as it did when he walked in. All the girl did was run the clippers over it. He had to repeatedly as her to edge it and clean up his neck. This is after explaining that he had a job interview and wanted a more professional look. And on top of that she gapped it up and took a big chunk out of one side. So after paying $ 22 for nothing he now had to come home and shave his beard off. Very disappointed. We won’t be back.

Awesome place to go to!!! Great people and a even better hair cut :) yes it is pricey but it is well worth it

I liked this place and decided to go here from now. I was warmly welcomed by a pretty young woman in a hat. My stylist was Vanessa. She was good at hair styling. I asked for the express service. She cut my hair with so damn care. I’ve to say it – «I totally liked the respect my hair deserved». Non-​membership prices are little high but not the other. Value for money and I don’t think client comes out disappointed. Lastly loved the décor.

A great relaxing place to get more than a haircut. It may seem quite pricey but it’s definitely worth it. The membership package looks like a great deal, you can’t beat all that service for $ 14 if you go weekly.
