First, they «take» walk-​ins but charge you $ 67 because they are «appointment only.» What!!!
With the amount of vet facilities out there I can find one with a better price who can give me the same level of care.
I would’ve been a customer but they’re price for an exam is ridiculous. Are they a VCA clinic too?

Valley Ranch Pet Clinic has been part of our family for over 13 years. I don’t know where to start with Dr Rouchon — he’s been there every step of the way from the day we got our new puppy to the day she passed. He’s very kind, caring and compassionate. he’s not just a vet. And the entire staff really understands the different phases and emotions we can go through when our pets are sick and need help. You get the sense that they are there because they really want to help because they really love animals — charging money is simply the necessary part of keeping the business going and taking care of everyone that takes care of us. We love you guys. Thanks for everything you’ve done for us and for Kerby.

They are so nice here! Definitely not just doctors but animal lovers and that’s important when you know they are taking care of your fur babies :)

I just moved to the area. My cat was sneezing and had discharge coming out of her eye. Unilocal helped me find them last minute. It was the Sat before Labor Day so they were really busy. They were able to fit us in. We were only there 30 min. Everyone was so nice and professional. Very sweet to my cat. So thankful they got my baby taken care of on a holday weekend. They will be my new vet.

I’ve been very impressed by all the staff members, including both of the Drs. They are all really friendly and helpful and seem concerned about my pets well being. I’m new to the area and didn’t have an established vet and they were able to work me in the same day I called.

This vet clinic is excellent! They got me in on short notice the next morning after I called in the afternoon. My cat was heaving for a few days and it was becoming more frequent. Dr. Cordero identified right away from a cell phone video that he was actually coughing. She suggested X Rays which showed he had asthma.
I also called back a few times because kitty was coughing up sputum after we came home. Staff was all very receptive, especially Lara who gave me suggestions over the phone.
All in all, they are available, listen to your concerns, and they are not pushy at all! They are very forthright about the cost of everything and work with you to decide what you want to do.

The absolute best veterinary office I have had the privilege of being a customer of. They are always so kind and caring and treat my dogs as though they are the only patients at their clinic. Every time I go there, it’s like I’m seeing a bunch of friends. Doctors are great and so is the staff. If you’re looking for a new vet, look no further. This is the place. And they are the best. Dr Cordero and staff rock! When I moved back to the area, my vet had retired and I had no clue where to go. Did a bit of research, and this clinic had rave reviews.
Great customer service and they took great care of my baby! Immaculate facilities. I could not be happier. I love that they try to keep you in the loop with pics and such. And they called a few days later to see how she was doing.

So happy with Dr. Rouchon and his staff, they spent so much time explaining and listening. I loved his approach in trying one thing at a time to figure out what was going on with our Sophie. Top notch staff and couldn’t be more happier. My only regret is waiting three years to try them! HIGHLY recommend and will never go anywhere else!!!

Love love love! The staff here– front door, tech, docs are amazing. Prices are VERY reasonable! This was the first time a doctor took the time to educate me about feeding table scraps to my lil fur baby. Now I don’t give him massive items but I do give scraps and treats of whatever I’m eating. WOW! NO NO NO says the doc! I’ve been to many vets (spent thousands on my baby) and never had a doctor AND techs give SUCH A THOROUGH ASSESSMENT AND CARE POINTERS! My dog is 9 yall! I brought my pet in a few months back because I felt a lump in his side and wanted to get it checked out. I walked in and was greeted and was told to sit and wait. I waited for a good 15 minutes before I was brought into a room which was long to me considering the place was empty. I get in the room and the technician weighed him and left to get the veterinarian. I waited another 15 minutes or so and could hear them talking on the other side of the door about the fact that I didn’t want to give my pet all the shots, only the rabies vaccine. The doctor came in and did a very brief physical, in which I don’t even remember him listening to his heart or lungs. The male veterinarian told me that he needed a dental, told me that I should really give him all his shots and lectured me on why, and pushed their food me because it’s soo much better then other food. After the lecture he tried to send me on my way where I had to remind him why I was there to begin with and asked him to check out the lump. He immediately said it’s fat and that was that. I felt like the entire visit was a waste of time and money and that the veterinarian was more concerned with making money and improving his sales tactics. On my way out I paid and could hear a cat screaming from the back which was just unsettling considering the veterinarian didn’t seem to care at all about my concern or my pet. I will certainly not be going back and I will be getting a second opinion.

Like most other reviewers, I simply can’t say enough good things about this place and am so very grateful to have stumbled upon it. I recommend Dr. Capps and her team without qualification or hesitation to anybody looking to add a vet to their extended family.
I live in Austin and drive up to Dallas every weekend, so when I realized on a Friday morning that Meatball needed to see a vet ASAP, I was beyond frazzled. Based on reviews, I called Valley Ranch as soon as I got in the car headed north, and managed to get squeezed in for 3.5 hours later i.e. perfect drive time…
… Except I-​35 traffic on Friday is nasty. So I showed up 20 minutes late with a very hacked off Meatball slung over my shoulder in his carrier, expecting to be turned away or at the very least reprimanded.
Instead, the front desk and assistants couldn’t possibly have been nicer or more understanding. As for Dr. Capps, she is an angel. A very knowledgeable, compassionate angel. She was able to get the test results from an Austin Vet we’d visited earlier in the week (who was awful) and then proceeded to fix my sweet kitten right up! She spent plenty of time explaining her thoughts and answering my questions and trying to earn Meatball’s affection with treats. It didn’t work on him (it’s not her – he hates everybody) but I am officially an enormous, lifelong fan.

Dr. Capps and the staff here are phenomenal! I love how this place is a clinic and a place where you can take your pets for daycare and boarding. They also offer other services such as nail trims and baths. It’s a one stop shop. I took full advantage of it and I’m glad I did. The staff here are very friendly. They take the time to get to know your pets. I knew I was leaving him in good hands. They took great care of my dog, Jerry. Jerry loved coming here for boarding and daycare. He would get super excited when I tell him I’m taking him to daycare. He would will literally sit by the door and wait for me. He would sometimes whine because I was taking too long getting ready. He doesn’t even look back when I drop him off. When it was time for a checkup, Dr. Capps is the best. Dr. Capps and her techs handles him with love so he would be at ease. I highly recommend this clinic. One thing that Jerry misses the most, since moving to New York, is this place.

I’ve brought pets to Valley Ranch Pet Clinic since 1992. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the outstanding care my dogs have received from Dr. Capps and Dr. Rouchon, and the entire staff, over the years. Everyone … the front desk, staff, the kennel techs, the vet techs, and of course the vets themselves are caring, efficient, knowledgeable, and so friendly and warm. Winston attends doggy daycare at VRPC about once a week, and he has boarded there frequently. I trust Valley Ranch Pet Clinic implicitly. I can’t imagine how it could improve.

The most enjoyable vet experience I have ever have. I have taken my dog to all types of vets around town and will never go anywhere as long as Dr. Capps is the vet here. She always makes my dog feel so welcome and her service is quick but she doesn’t make you feel rushed. The front desk staff is always so friendly and has always found a way to fit us in in the case of last minute emergencies. Recommend it highly! !

VRPC came highly recommended to us by neighbors and rightly so. Nina has been coming here for over three years for preventive medicine program and medical treatment. Staff has always been outstanding and Dr. Capps is even beyond that! She is very tuned into the needs of a sight hound and treats Nina as if she were her own. Everyone takes time to listen to questions and concerns and to answer them completely. Now, with the new Patient Portal called «Petly​.com» it is even easier to receive messages and documentation and to communicate to the office. Ten (10) Stars & KUDOS to this great team of caregivers.

I would never trust another place to board and bring my dog for daycare. Both Drs are so in tune with each of their animals (patient) and helped us through a really tough time when my little girl got really sick.

I usually go to CityVet uptown, but due to an emergency with my dog being in pain I called Valley Ranch animal clinic. Boy I am glad we called! They were amazing! I am a new client and called to explained what was going on, they said they were booked up but bring her in. From the moment we stepped inside, they took great care of us. I am now a client there and had all my dog’s records transferred over. We were seen very quickly, the vet had a great demeanor, and a last minute patient on Friday? It felt like we were his only patient. I am so pleased to find such a great caring place!

I have absolutely no complaints. I had Valley Ranch Pet Clinic recommended to me by the place I board my dog when I was brand new to the area and needed a vet. My dog is very healthy, so we’ve only really been there for check-​ups and shots. The staff is nice and we’re always seen promptly.
It doesn’t get higher stars for me for a few reasons. First, it seems very pricey — even more expensive than the vet I saw when I lived in Atlanta (and thought that was relatively pricey). Also, there is very little comfortable seating — either in the waiting room or in the exam rooms. They also have a bizarre connection with some company that deals with dead pets. I called and was put on hold and had to listen to this whole commercial about what happens when my dog dies and they have another advertisement in the waiting room. My dog is getting older and it really bothers me to have my vet constantly remind me that he’s mortal.
So the vet services are great and I definitely recommend them. It’s just the rest of the experience that seems a bit lacking.
