My husband and I were married here in August 2013, and to this day people still talk about our wedding. Great location, affordable, and they were very easy to work with. The food was good, and my cake very tasty. Worked with our special food requests to create the perfect menu. Only had one mixup at the reception about the alcohol,(supposed to be an open bar, not cash) but was fixed right away, with only a few people affected. The décor inside is beautiful and needed only minimal center pieces and décor for the tables. The canal provides a gorgeous backdrop, as well as the ivy clad wall. Would suggest this venue to anyone looking for a place that holds about 80 people, or more of you plan to use both inside and out for your event.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Venetian Terrace this past Saturday and everything was perfect from start to finish. We can’t thank Sasha, Angela(wedding coordinator), and his staff enough for making our special day perfect. Sasha and his coordinator are amazing, they truly care about their customers. A couple of weeks before the wedding I was a nervous wreck because we really didn’t have a plan for how the ceremony and reception would be set up but Sasha took time out of his busy schedule and sat down with us from 4pm in the afternoon until 9pm that night, just to help us lay and plan everything out. By the time we left I was a happy and smiling future bride. Everything went according as planned the day of our wedding. The restaurant was very clean and the scenery is breath taking. Sasha, Angela, and his entire staff were all very attentive to ours and our guests needs. At one point during our reception, our 9 yr old daughter was out of her seat when the waiters took everyone’s orders so I gave her my plate. When I asked the waiter for another plate for myself, he had one sitting in front of me within 2 minutes after asking. Now that’s outstanding service. The food was absolutely amazing as well. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was. Sasha is truly one of the best chefs we have run across yet! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a venue to have their wedding or any event period! Thank you Sasha & Venetian Terrace staff for everything! Sincerely, Rob & Schrita Wilson

Prices are not bad for lunch. However, service was extremely lacking, and there were only 2 tables in the entire restaurant. For some reason we had a different server come to the table every time. Our dishes all got mixed up, and I just sensed general confusion from all the employees. Food is pretty good! I got spaghetti, and it was great/a good portion size. The salad with raspberry vinaigrette and grilled garlic bread it comes with was also great. Overall, good food, but it took forever and there were a lot of mix-ups.

This place is in a beautiful location. Centered right by the canals. The service is fantastic and delicious. Stopped in for lunch during a business trip. Glad I choice that place. They made me feel very welcome!

This place has a very tasty variety of food. I love the chicken salad platter & just about anything else I’ve ordered there. The bread is great too. The service is a little slow but it’s getting better. The only thing I don’t like is the sodas are sold by the can.

We found this restaurant here on Unilocal and decided to try it out for lunch. We were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the food served there. The service was very good also and we would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a delicious, authentic Italian meal.

Came here once for a private event and was very impressed. Had a chance to stop by again for lunch and food was delicious. Plenty of parking and service was quick. I like lunch spots that recognize diners time crunch during lunch and make sure that food is served fresh and quick and give you plenty of time to enjoy before heading back to work. Highly recommend!

I’m reviewing this business for their weekday lunch service, not their event services. Work nearby and tried out this place for lunch. It was delicious! I had spaghetti and meatballs while my coworker had a chicken cordon bleu panini. The manager on duty was very attentive and welcoming and made sure, since it was our first visit, that we would be talking about the place when we got back to the office. The cheesecake was light and fluffy, and probably one of the best slices of cheesecake I have ever had. Already have gone back to get another slice!

Super cute lunch spot! It’s only open for lunch, so business travelers– make sure to make some time to visit. This is a beautiful venue on the canals, and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff was like a family, and the food tasted like homemade!

Really good food, service, and quiet setting. So much delicious food for the buck. Fresh ingredients and well-seasoned, the roast beef panini was most excellent. Easy 4 stars!

Stopped by for lunch and met up with friends. The restaurant is in the middle of down town Las Colinas by the canal. I ordered a Roast Beef Panini. It came with tasty thin fresh cut garlic fries and a side salad. The bread for my sandwich was well buttered and the roast beef was delicious. It came with au jus or meat juice. The price was moderate but the portions were large. If you get a chance stop by.

I just had my wedding here a few days ago. I am so happy that I did. The staff is wonderful and the venue is gorgeous. The venue is located on Mandalay Canal. It’s surprising that Dallas has something so beautiful in the middle of so many office buildings. It makes for a really unique Dallas wedding. Our wedding was supposed to be an indoor/outdoor wedding, but the it rained, so we spent almost the whole time inside. The place easily fit about 100 people. They say that you can fit about 150 people, but I think around 100 is perfect with enough space. Sasha, the cook, makes delicious food, that will keep your guests happy. I was so nervous on the day of the wedding, that I didn’t eat, but I had a tasting before the wedding, and I was really excited about the food. We had Italian cream cake, and chocolate cake. As I was so busy, I was only able to eat the Italian cream cake, and I loved it. I heard from a lot of my guests that the chocolate cake was amazing. I really wish I had a piece. When you book this place, you do not pay for someone to coordinate on the day of the wedding. Right before our wedding we were meeting with Mouna, one of the staff members, and a bride came in demanding that Mouna do her coordination. However, the bride did not pay for it. It is so worth it to hire Mouna because she has done so many weddings and she really cares. I felt really sick on the day of, and I mentioned to her that I hadn’t eaten all day, and she made me some tea, and made sure I had bread while everyone waited for their food. She made everything flow without a problem. I loved our wedding, and I would definitely do it again.

After walking the canals several times, my husband and I finally stopped in for lunch. What a nice surprise. The fresh made Spinach and Cheese Tortellini was amazing. The sauce was creamy but not too heavy. The burger my husband had was excellent. It is impossible to leave hungry, in fact I had to bring the rest of the tortellini home. Getting to the restaurant provided us with a nice little walk by the canal. We parked in the VHA lot and took the walkway over the canal. It is nice to know that Las Colinas has such a nice gem. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu.

They’ve created a really attractive man-made canal system which is the view from the Venetian Terrace. On a brisk winter February I watched two people celebrate their wedding here. The space is very small in terms of wedding space. There really isn’t much room to do anything. As far as intimate settings with romantic lights and the feel of a slightly artificially created Venice, it works. I almost forgot I was in Dallas.(Almost). The food served is not bad either. Pretty decent chicken tenders.

Legit lunch in a nice place on the cheap that’s walking distance from the Omni Mandalay(where I’m staying). Just go down the steps closer to John Carpenter rather than Las Colinas when you walk down to the canal from the street, otherwise you’ll need to go all down a ways, over the bridge and backtrack to get on the restaurant side of the canal. I only had soup/salad for lunch as I had a late breakfast, but the black bean homemade soup was pretty good. The caesar salad was… well, your typical caesar salad. Everything I saw on other peoples tables looked good, I just wasn’t hungry enough to get some heavy Italian food. They have a full bar and $ 3 beers although I didn’t partake as I was here on business.

We got married here in March 2012. Fell in love with the venue and its surroundings from the moment we got to the venue. The property is really unique and situated on very private canal. Our ceremony was outside and we had no issues with on-lookers or traffic. Sasha, the GM, is exceptional. He made it so easy for us. He delivered on all the promises. There are not many venues in Dallas that would cater a Russian style wedding, Sasha was super flexible on food, setup/decorations, and time. Sasha worked with us on a custom menu and all of our guests and vendors really enjoyed the enormous amount of food. He is really pleasant to work with and will go out of his way to make sure your special day is perfect! He was always available by phone and met with us every time we were in town.

I came here for lunch one day with a group of 6. The location is awesome, right on the canal… too bad most people wouldn’t know about it unless working in the area. The inside doesn’t scream out that its a restaurant. Its a room that looks more like a small convention room. When we got here, they had about two other tables dining at the same time. There was only one waitress working, so the service was very slow. It took 10 minutes before the waitress came to take our drink orders. Most of us decided on salads. I ordered the mixed greens salad with salmon and a side of balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The salmon was cooked wonderfully. The only hiccup was that they forgot to put garlic bread on my plate. On my second visit here, I had the honor of being served by the ownder. I ordered the highly recommended cheeseburger, and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. I hadn’t eaten beef in over 6 months. I finally decided to have a burger, and it sure was absolutely worth it! It comes with a side salad and potato wedges. The salad was great. The potato wedges were to greasy, but hey, you won’t really need to eat those because the burger is huge!

This Italian restaurant is a great hidden gem. Although they focus on special events & catering, I hope they get enough traffic during the day to keep their lunch service going. I heard about this place from a coworker who made it sound like the food was pretty authentic and mentioned that he heard the owner speaking Italian, so naturally, I had to try it. I ate there today and had the spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce. I was pleasantly surprised: here was some really good Italian food, in Las Colinas of all places. The sauce was made from scratch, with freshly chopped bell pepper and garlic and had a depth of flavor and spices generally lacking from most Italian places in Dallas. And the dish came with 8 or 9 freaking meatballs, so they’re not skimping here… Now, I’m not going to say that this place will put Nonna’s or Urbano Café out of business, but if you have the good sense and palate to refuse what passes for Italian at places like Olive Garden or Johnny Carino’s, then you’ll appreciate what Ventian Terrace has to offer. Let me also add that the portions are extremely generous(especially for lunch). What was an $ 8 dish has left me with enough for a second helping tomorrow…

This place just opened for lunch after being reservation-only(wedding receptions and the like) for at least a couple of years prior. As a result it is fairly high-class dining for a cheap price. It is located in the bottom portion of the bell tower building on the once-bustling canal near Mandalay Dr in the Las Colinas Urban Center. They had advertised their new«open for lunch» status so I had seen a menu before I entered for the first time. Once inside, I immediately felt underdressed(it was casual friday), and was seated at a table with a white tablecloth and white napkins. I placed the napkin over my khaki shorts and ordered a club sandwich. There is only one lady attending the tables and one cook it seems, so the wait was a little long I suppose. As I waited, I saw plates of salmon and large portions of chicken salad go by to other tables and thought maybe I had missed out ordering a club sandwich. When I got my food, I realized I hadn’t as it was a very good and«up-scale» club sandwich, if that is a thing. The bill was $ 8 and I look forward to having many opportunities to take advantage of their lunch offerings again.
