West Irving Library

This is my favorite library!
It’s clean, has a huge selection, and the staff are helpful and friendly. They have a great online hold system and I usually don’t have to wait more than a week or two for my books to come in. They also have a super quick self-​checkout that I love!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Large modern building with lots of computers and seating for those with laptops. Recommend highly.

Very modern, attractive library located off of W. Rochelle Blvd. AKA George Bush Library. I recently attained a library card and have been utilizing it as much as possible! They have a very decent DVD collection which includes a variety of titles, including documentaries/​special interest as well as children.
They have a very nice computer lab with at least 20 computers as well as Express Computers with 15 minute limits in the front and back area of the library. The actual library itself is a little smaller than I’d imagined from the exterior view for some reason. The Youth section has a neat vibe to it and is well organized, although I still feel it is «smaller» than other libraries I have experienced. Keep in mind this is from a CA point of view, and TX libraries have tended to be on the «smaller» side.
The staff is nice and knowledgeable. I find the References desk to be more pleasant than the Check Out counter for some reason. I prefer self checkout anyway. There is an outdoor drive-​up book drop, and media drop is located inside the initial doors but prior to entering the actual library.
Very clean and organized. For it’s convenient location, I will be a frequent visitor!
