This place is absolutely amazing the way it is designed is so cool. I wish I could get it everyday even the wait time which is always 15 minutes every time! The staff are incredible and make the food exactly how I want it with nothing else. This what i expect takeout to be.

Best this food! It’s like hidden gem! Most authentic Thai food ever. The inside atmosphere is so calm and modern. The waiting on the food is little bit but hey, can’t complain when the food is good. Start with fish patty and sweet potatoes and tofu appetizer it was all melting in the mouth! Had the papaya salad ! It’s like OMG! Order padthai and lard na omg!!! Must try !! If your big fan of Thai food must try!

It was my first check in yesterday, it was late 9:30pm, got a take out. immediately I regretted why I waited for over a year to check out this place. This Thai restaurant is surrounded by 3 Indian restaurants. May be thats why it is hidden from my sight this long. out of this 4 restaurants in this shopping complex. this restaurant hands down will take 1st place for Service and food taste and décor. I ordered my usual Thai cuisine favorite yellow curry with veggies and sticky rice and mangoes for dessert. I do think they took little more time to get the food, But I guess, if this is how much it takes to make it fresh I don’t mind at all. I will be back again here soon!

Zense has the best pad kee mao I’ve ever had and I’ve been to a lot of Thai places around the world. The noodles are very chewy and very well separated while not being oily at all. The ambiance is great and the Thai tea is a huge portion. I try to come here every time I’m in the area! I would say they are on the spicier side. I eat pretty spicy and medium is sufficient for me to still enjoy the flavor!

This place really surprised me. The restaurant is in a shopping center with a lot of Indian food and Indian shops. I thought it would be an Indian fusion restaurant but it ended up being very delicious and authentic Thai. The server(I didn’t get her name) was lovely. She was polite and courteous even though I came in to eat 30 min before their siesta time(3−5pm). They took their time, I didn’t feel rushed, the food came out delectable(just like my friend who is thai’s cooking) and the atmosphere was relaxing. The décor is very simple. The establishment was clean and the staff was friendly. The menus could use updating(the actual menus, not the food on the menu) since they’re torn and tattered around the edges. Makes me think lots of hands have touched it and being a germ-o-phobic person, this grossed me out before I even ordered my food. Other than that– I would 100% recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for authentic Thai food, good service and a cute small clean establishment. Buon Apetito!

Food is always Great Attention to detail matches«high end Asian» restaurants I have been to. The red or green curry and the ton of different appetizers is what I normally order

I have been a loyal customer of Zense Thai for several months concerning its right down the street from work. And in loyal, I mean they recognize me when I come in. I’m giving Zense two stars because they are ridiculous when it comes to asking for any modifications. Today I asked for noodles instead of rice in a dish, which they give the same option with their curries, and they could only do it for a $ 2 up charge. Seems a bit much for a loyal customer that has brought many people to this establishment including clients, that otherwise would not have known about it. Great way of taking care of your customers.

If i could do half star i would!!! We came in a group of 5 and we sat down next to the wall. the waitress comes and ask how many we are and we are like 5 and she is like no. this is not for you guys. she move us to the middle of the restaurant in front of the door! Then. to keep going. she asks what do we want to drink. we say but she doesnt come back like in 10 minutes or 15 minutes later. she is the only person there. so once she comes back she ask what we want to eat. so she get our order and then after 5 minutes she comes back with the drinks. but one of my coworkers asked for sugar she never came back with the sugar!!! we had to ask her for the second time and there was no spoons or nothing to stir with it. he used his own fork. which is fine i guess… anyhow. when i order the food i asked if she had«brown rice» and she said that’s all that we have!!! so the food came and then my curry was SALTY, LOOSE, VERYSOUPPPYYYYY I had the choice of vegetables. it was only 1 potato and the rest just a bunch of different carrots shapes, zucchini and squashes… So the rice was purple!!! which can’t see if is brown or not!!! so she lied right over there!!! is not brown rice!!! she only has jasmine rice!!! So in the end!!! I“m not coming back!!! Would be nice if you would give more attention to the customers! Looking at the place full of indian people u would think the the curry would be the bomb!!! which is not!!! so wonder why those indian people go to eat there!!! NOFLAVOR!!! BESIDESSALT!!!

I come to this restaurant for the AA Advantage mileage points. Have come here several times and usually satisfied with the food. However, today I was not greeted at all. I seated myself, waited for a long 5 minutes or so, and was surprised to see that several customers who were already seated before me were still waiting for their menu and glass of water. Today the shop was full so I understand that the servers were busy. I can’t wait more so I left. The servers was not aware that a customer just left and maybe didn’t even care. I won’t say that I’ll never come back. I’ll be back one day to get my miles not for the food and bad service.

Delicious food. The only complaint I have is that the portions are really small, especially for the price.

Their food is delicious, décor is beautiful, and servers were friendly, but unfortunately we will not be returning as we share the same reviews as many before us. Food wait time was upwards of 20+ minutes. The restaurant was nowhere near packed when we arrived for lunch on a Saturday; around 4 tables occupied max, with many of them already eating. Luckily we were not starving. The portions do not justify the price. As one of the pricier Thai restaurants in Irving, the portion was tiny. We ordered the Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai. Both came out in a similar round dish, about half the size of other Thai restaurants. The flavor was great, but we weren’t in the mood to wait another 20+ mins to order another entrée to satiate our hunger. We left the restaurant still hungry.

If this was only based on the food I would give it a 5. However, the reviews are correct, they are very slow, I have never dared to come during peak times. We have come during down times, or with only a couple other tables occupied and it’s still slow. The service is friendly, but spotty. Don’t come if you are starving, you will become extremely aggravated. Do come with a bottle of wine and enjoy your company, it’s going to be a minute. For the reasons above we have tried to quit ZENse, well it’s still our favorite Thai place in the metroplex. If a reviewer mentions Blue Ginger in the same breath, no offense but they lost all credibility, there is no comparison. The food here is delicious and for the spice lovers a 3 will bring tears to your eyes and a sniffle here and there, just how I like it. The flavors are great though, still enjoy when I am sharing with the non-heatseekers and we get a 1 or 2. The Pad Kee Mao and Spicy Basil fried rice are amazing. The portion sizes are smaller, but the vegetables are nice and fresh and I think their beef is so much better than other Thai restaurants I have tried, big pieces of shrimp and thank goodness they don’t mince the chicken. I will say I have not enjoyed their takeout at all. I don’t know what goes wrong when I get takeout, the pad kee mao is always kinda dry and stuck together and the portion size seem even smaller I don’t have time to eat there on my lunch break, but I will give an update on this takeout issue as I will try it again.

I asked for a dish WITHOUT eggs & got eggs in it. Exactly how many times does someone need to ask in order for their request to be acknowledged? I requested this when I ordered & then again after the waitress finished taking orders. Received my food 30 min later with ONLY6 people in the entire restaurant!!! Not even busy AND my dish was STILL wrong.

Trust me, I have been to Thailand more times than I can count. I love it’s people, it’s culture, it’s history and its food! OMG the food. This is the best Authentic Thai Food in the DFW area. If you truly love Thai food, come and see the two Thai sisters that cook and manage the Zense Thai in North Irving off MacArthur Blvd. Love this place!!!

I finally found a good Thai restaurant around the Coppell area. Zense Thai has a good selection of authentic Thai food. I ordered the Thai fried rice and it was amazing. Very delicious and they give you a good portion to ensure you satisfy your appetite. It’s a nice little restaurant and the staff are also very nice! If you have only an hour to eat I would suggest ordering ahead so when you arrive, the food is ready to eat. If you love good Thai food, then try Zense Thai!!!

Loved ZENse! Fortunately I got here a little after the lunch rush so there wasn’t a wait at all. I chose my table and took a seat. I have to tell you about the dining area first. The décor is great! Nice bamboo pieces stand in front of the large window in the front, acting like natural venetian blinds. The rest of the décor is simplistic, and combined with the soothing music they were playing, I was in a tranquil and peaceful state before my meal. I started things off with the crispy spring rolls. They had to have taken them right out of the fryer before they served them to me because I could barely put my mouth on them! When I did, I tasted an above average spring roll. Nothing too different from any other ones I’ve had, but they were real good! Their nice plum sauce added a nice touch of sweetness and a nice touch of coolness to help the heat. Next I had the Pad Thai with tofu and veggies. The tofu was perfect, just how I like it. Golden brown with a lot of texture on the outside, and nice and soft on the inside. The veggies tasted fresh and were cooked perfectly… not too soft and not too hard. I don’t have a complaint about the noodles or the taste. Just a nice experience all around. The service was great as well. It wasn’t too busy(there were only people at 2 other tables), but she took her time and made it around to all the tables, making sure everyone had what they needed. The restaurant itself isn’t too big, and the food/service is really good, so if you go at lunchtime I imagine that you may find it difficult to find a seat. It’s well worth it if you don’t, stick around for a while and wait until one opens up, you won’t regret it. I’ll definitely have to update this review after my next couple of visits because I have a feeling that my experiences there will only get better.

Try the spicy garlic chicken with broccoli! It’s a super flavorful dish. Love the soups as well. Don’t order medium spicy though unless you want your mouth to literally set fire. They know what they’re doing in that kitchen with the heat. BYOB is a plus. Great date night spot and it is always very quiet and peaceful in there.

This is in my top 5 favorite places to eat in DFW. You can get a $ 100 bottle of wine and a steak anywhere… wth can you get fresh pressed coconut milk in curry topped with potatoes and a side of black and white jasmine rice accompanied by ginger tea while listening to jazz… that is right it is a run on thought and sentence bc it is a run on experience… always. The laab gai is my least favorite thing here… that is one of my favorite dishes at most thai places. This is legit. Minimalistic décor… which I enjoy. The fruu fruu does not do it for me. Focus on my consumption. Proper portions and quality. Papaya Salad is made to order like everything else. Do not expect fast anything… you are an idiot if you complain about time. They are making it fresh! Please do not talk loudly or bring your screaming child in here… the rest of us are enjoying heaven… be curteous.

I ordered spring rolls and chicken pad thai. Both tasted previously frozen. The chicken was clearly pre-cooked, frozen, and reheated. Rubber chicken. The sauce is pure heat and acid, no flavor to speak of. The peanuts are burnt. The noodles were cooked properly, so thank god for that. Is that worth a star? I feel like I’m being overly generous. Just south of here is Blu Ginger. Go there. I should not have come here.

I came here with my BF yesterday for the first time and we enjoyed our meal. We were the only customers there right around 6pm then followed by two groups of people not too long after. Would be nice if they have lime, but I can live with that as long as there’s lemon one or the other. So, at first I was craving for Thai fried rice but then I saw the lemongrass chicken dish in the picture thru Unilocal made me change my mind. I ended up ordering the lemongrass chicken. BF wanted the crabby fried rice, so I can still eat some of his rice hehe. I’m Asian, I need rice in my life. AIso, love mango and sticky rice so that’s a must have for dessert. Food came out looking fresh as how it was described. OMG! It was delicious but the portion tho. I feel like they were stingy on the food size. I guess the flavor and taste makes up for it. I must say their food is not oily or mushy compare to other places. I give you props for that. Overall, I really wish the food portion would be more for a pricey meal. However, all 3 dishes hit the spot in the right way. Service was fine. The wait wasn’t long. The place looks nice, but the seat didn’t really have a real cushion. It’s like you’re sitting on a tree stump with cloth over it LOL but is not that bad TBH. They have Thai music playing in the background so that was cool. Therefore, I will be returning. Oh btw, ZENse, if you ever get the chance to read this please do something about the dessert spoon that was used for the mango and sticky rice. It was a challenge to eat the mango without having to use your finger. Please provide a different kind of utensils, a fork would be better off in my opinion. Same thing with the rice dishes. Only silverware provided was one fork. Maybe all I have to do is ask for a spoon so that it would be easier to eat my rice without spilling it off the plate when the portion is already small. I don’t think any customers should have to struggle trying to eat anything. Next time, I will be sure to ask. =) Thank you!
