This place is a hidden gem in the middle of Irvington! The owner is always bubbling with joy and it’s so inspiring just to see her face. :) That love of life and her business has translated to the food which is awesome. I recommend the chicken roti(buss up) with the currant rolls. If less hungry try her fish or veggie patties which are sure to satisfy. The seating is limited and it’s mainly a take out spot, but definitely a great place to satisfy the craving for a home cooked meal.

I have never tried the food here but can enthusiastically vouch for the baked goods and pastries. The meat and fish pies are the best. I would not hesitate to recommend those. Sometimes the filling can be sparse, but the pastry itself is so buttery and flaky that it makes up for it. They also have a lot of flyers for Caribbean parties and events in the area and they sometimes sell tickets for these events as well.

I am very picky about where I eat West Indian food so when introduced to this place years ago I finally found a regular spot in which I could scratch that itch! Their curry chicken, oxtails, tilapia, and king fish is delicious! Their lentils are phenomenal and their soup is amazing! This is definitely a good spot to eat at and it’s regularly priced for West Indian cuisine.

Whole in the wall spot. This place is definitely a hit or miss when it comes to Caribbean food. My family is from the islands so I know how it’s suppose to be. I typically would get the roti curry chicken or saltfish. Yesterday I was disappointed in the quality of the food. The chicken wasn’t cooked properly but the saltfish was good. Hope for the best and expect the worst.

I know the owners are Trinidad &Tobago born and raised that way you know you’re getting your money worth. The food are SUPER fantastic. It takes you back home to the islands. Every type of food thats in there is cooked to perfection. Pastries are baked every friday incase you wante fresh baked goods. The sorrel and the mauby which are drinks are homemade as well. You also have drinks that are form the islands originally. Not only that, but the people that own the bakery also own a company called CCB. They hold clubbing events and raise money from the tickets that they sell. The money goes to Scholarships that the company CCB gives out to H. S students, so you pay for tickets to go to the events and know that the money you paid goes to a good cause. They have events like Boats rides during the summer. West indian concerts and etc. They hold events a clubs as well.
