We stayed here for our anniversary and it was incredible! The chef customized the meal to be vegetarian, started with the best lentil soup I’ve ever had… Service was perfect, can’t wait to come back.

Artfully prepared and beautifully but simply presented. Meseret and the team — including mother and daughter in the kitchen who came out to say hello — did a wonderful job of making the flavors in the local ingredients shine. We were treated to a first course of baked oysters with Asiago and pesto; salad was simple greens with a light crumbly cheese, vinaigrette, plus mint-infused watermelon; main course was crabcakes (zero filler, all lump, perfect — and I’m hard to please with crabcakes) with spoonbread and roasted vegetables; dessert was a light and airy lime-oncello mousse with Grand Marnier-infused berries. We started with cocktails at the bar («detention») and Meseret suggested a floral Sauvignon Blanc with the oysters and a bright Willamette Valley Pinot Noir with the main course. It was perfect and equally enjoyed by my family who live locally and hadn’t yet been for dinner.

With a five-star meal and service comes a five star price. This is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in the Northern neck. I love the food here. The service was great. The sheriff, the waitress, the owners were all friendly came over to say hi. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone who has $ 200 for dinner for two.
Trying to get them on the phone for reservations ain’t easy
