If you are in Islamorada or driving through the Keys and want to have a lot of fun, this is the place. The owners and the staff are so nice and extremely accomodating. You can bowl, play pool and there is even a game room for kids. We rented out the place for our weekend wedding, figuring this would be a great ice breaker for our families on the first night since they’ve never met. All of our guests can’t stop talking about the fun they all had. I couldn’t wait to get home to write a review and rave about this place. Thank you, again, to everyone at Fish Bowl and if you are considering it… just do it. You won’t regret it.

This is a fun, cool place to go at night. Pretty cheap drinks, and a decent number of beers on tap. Mid-week it was pretty empty except for a group of hipsters who seemed to be having a great time. The«arcade» is a little sparse… but it had a broken«Barb Wire» pinball machine that wouldn’t let you play fairly, but also wouldn’t let you lose… The right flipper was broken, but every time a ball was«lost,» another one would pop into play. There seemed to be no correlation between doing something, scoring points, and losing the ball… I can’t explain how I scored any of the points, or on the other hand, how I ran out of plays, but I ended up getting the high score on the machine.

If you are in the upper keys at night you have two choices of entertainment, bowling or the movies. Do not go to the movies… bad movie theater… like«the dog decided that your godfather dvd is a good chewtoy bad». The bowling alley is old schoo– plastic seats, clown shoes, and pool tables. What bowling alleys should be. As fun and cool as these new bowling alley/clubs are, this takes me back to being a kid. They have good food, well bowling alley food– burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries– but it is all very good bowling alley food. Nice, fun people that don’t care if you decide to make an ass out of yourself. They don’t complain, they just join in as everyone points and laughes. All and all, if you are in the upper keys and want to go out somewhere, this is the place. Oh yeah, if you feel like something different while your friends are bowling, it shares the building with a yoga studio.

First, I guess you have to like bowling. Nobody seems to anymore. I’m a geek I guess. I think the reason it is still open, what with the declining popularity of bowling and the increasing value of land in the keys, is because there is very little else to do at night in the keys. It’s competition, the movie theater, only had 2 screens until a few years ago. But it really is a nice bowling alley. The attendants are nice, the shoes are well cared for, they have pool tables and decent chicken fingers and french fries. And, of course, pitchers of beer.
