This is a must stop in Islamorada with the original Rum Runner here or turn it into a Pain in the Ass with the mixture of a Piña Colada. Also they have super cheap beer for HH4 – 7 and the view of the Ocean is just amazing. When they have live music, the bands are usually great rock bands!

Great Drinks and staff was willing to accommodate. Evan was great. Drinks were great. Ladies were very nice. Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Brie cheese was AMAZING. Best thing on the Island. The wind and the view was very relaxing. The wings and Pizzas are also great choices. Going back again.

I included a review of this bar in my review of the Cheeca Lodge, but the experience was so bad, it is worth the effort to double up. Keep in mind that I was paying $ 599 per night to have a room in the Lodge. So, my expectations were high. Service at the Tiki is non-existent. AJ, one of the bartenders has zero personality. He was rude, surly, and disinterested. He made it clear that he did not want to be there. He should be a Comcast rep, as bartending is clearly not his forte. A good bar is a necessity for me in a nice hotel. And the Tiki bar is located in such an area as to be the most inviting bar. But the service is miserable. And, I can’t blame it all on AJ. He just happened to be the one bartender that actually acknowledged our presence. The others always seemed to be to busy doing something else. Who’s running this place? Comcast probably needs management help too.

The wedding party stayed at Cheeca Lodge, and with the Tiki Bar being located in the resort by the pool, we frequented it quite a bit. We stayed elsewhere to give the wedding party some privacy; but, nonetheless, we spent quite a bit of daytime hours here. Since we did not stay there overnight, my comments reflect Tiki Bar only. We ate there a few times and food was delicious. The thing I liked best is they have menus for each of the resort’s restaurants… so, in a group of 8, we were all able to find something we were craving. All of our meals were delicious, albeit pricey. However, the 10%-15% extra spent was more than offset by the convenience of leaving the resort! All of our servers were outstanding, with Kali by far being our favorite. She was bubbly, outgoing, and made us feel more like locals than tourists. The atmosphere is my only critique. As the name suggests, it’s a tiki hut on the beach, with fabulous views of the water. However — and I hope the management reads this — the interior needs two things. First of all, fix the darn fans! One night, it was 92 degrees with a zillion percent humidity and only 1 of the 6 or so fans worked :( We mentioned something to the bartender, and his response was«they haven’t worked in 3 years… it’s a running joke here.» Love the honesty; yet when you charge $ 400+ per night for rooms, there must be some cash in the budget for maintenance. Secondly, 2 of the 5 days we were there the TVs did not work. There was a message saying the satellite was out. I’ve experienced this during storms and what not… the skies were crystal clear though. Maybe it’s time go with cable???

Split a cuban sandwich, plus had two mixed drinks. For that, we paid $ 36 before tip. Spendy, but normal for the keys.

One of the best times I’ve ever had was in this tiny strip of bars on Isla Morada. It also happens to have a great buffet restaurant nearby, so it’s a win win! One thing I will say is to stay away from the touristy frozen drinks. That is, unless you enjoy heartburn!

Have you ever watched Bar Rescue? I have been in this bar for 30 minutes and I am waiting for the guy from the show to walk in any minute. The world famous Rum runner is not prepared by the staff but comes from an ice machine. Like most drinks. It is low(and cold) season so few tourists are there. I am guessing that it only attracts the peopke from the nearby hotel. But a single woman like me do not feel comfortable because of a group of heavily drunk and loud guys run the show and nobody except 2 waitresses around to check if everything is OK. Music…, oh boy… A country guy with a guitar who believes he is funny while he is insulting women. No wonder all women here walk out after 5 minutes… So much history… So far away from the golden age…

We went with high hopes and left without ordering. Kind of run down. Drinks are $ 10. There were quite a few people. Maybe we don’t know what we are missing but we left after not loving the scenery

We were waiting for our room to be ready and decided to hang out here… wow! Amazing drinks and food! Key Lime Pie Cocktail tasted just like Key Lime Pie, Blueberry Mojito was amazing, and one of the best Lemon Drop Martinis I have ever had! We ordered Conch Fritters and the Lobster Quesadilla… awesome! We were so relaxed and happy there that we decided to come back later that night and eat dinner there! Had the Lobster Grilled Cheese… can I have one of these everyday? Wow! And then the Lobster Pizza! Omg the lobster! They don’t skimp on the lobster!

Incredible views. Bar right on the water with jet ski rentals next door. Fish were swimming right under the bar… it was nice. Very laid back atmosphere as it should be in the Keys. Drinks were good. People were friendly. We stopped on the way to Key West.

Lobster grilled cheese & blueberry Mojito are awesome. Grilled cheese is messy but overflowing with lobster meat. Smoked almonds are a nice complimentary snack as well.
