Louie is a very detail oriented person and when your vehicle leaves his body shop, it will be done to perfection. He’s done several vehicles for my family and always perfect. Great guy to deal with, I can’t stress the perfection he ensures on your vehicle. Read his book that he will gladly give you a copy of when yours is completed. A true business man with a heart for what he does.

I have dealt with several auto body shops over the years and Sharp Auto Body is by far the best. The repairs are absolutely perfect and he doesn’t charge for his loaner cars. I’ve had hail damage repaired and after extremely close scrutiny found that it is impossible to tell that there was ever any damage in the first place. I’ve had a new fender put onto a 11 year old car and the paint matched perfectly. I am a perfectionist in this area and it is a perfect match. Get into an accident? Call them and they will tow a free loaner to the accident scene for you to drive home while taking your car for repair. How does it get any better?

This company is a joke. They have semi cheap prices. The only way they are able to do this is by stealing money from employees. Ask any one who has worked there. The pay checks are always short and tend to bounce often. A registered sex offender rents a room on the property. Parts are taken off impounded vehicles before the legal amount of time has passed. The company violates labor laws daily. Horrible business practice

Sharp Auto Body, gets the job done in the time frame they tell you. They are always friendly and helpful. They explain the laws to you and make sure that you are getting the best deal.

I want to send a big THANK YOU to the team at Sharp Auto Body, Island Lake, IL. I have been very impressed with Louie and his team. They have exceeded my expectations on several occasions. I would give this operation 10 stars out of 5. I really had no idea that there were any more companies like this one…

I recently was involved in an accident where I was rear ended. I took my car to Sharp Auto Body because it was local and close to home. I could not have been more pleased with the way everything was handled– from the estimate to the actual repair work. They are friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and well organized. Great communication as well. They coordinated with the other party’s insurance company and handled it all. A truly wonderful staff. The work on my car was FLAWLESS. Such precision. I went over it very closely and I cannot tell it was even touched. I swear it looks showroom new. So pleased. They also give you a life time warranty on their work and they even washed my car and cleaned the inside. Such a nice touch. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I strongly advise you go there if ever you need body work done to your vehicle. You won’t regret it!

Stay away!!! Read the reviews of Sharps auto repair, sharps Towing, Sharp enterprises, whatever they are calling themselves these days. In my opinion, Louie Sharp should do the town a favor and get out.
EDIT… I noticed a very strange review praising how wonderful this place is… then I saw the last name Herrmann. As most residents know, Debbie Herrmann was the last Mayor Of Island Lake, until over 80% of the voters gave her the boot!
What the review won’t say is that Herrmann sells them all their insurance, that Louie did all of her political dirty work, and that her reputation in this town was so bad that she had to move her business OUT OF TOWN!
ANYONE with any history with Sharpe knows to keep one hand on their wallet and always stay facing him… less chance of him stabbing you in the back that way!

Overcharge for «Towing and storage» but what do you expect when you’ve got a lock on business thanks to mayor.

Dear Louie,
My husband has a 1995 Honda and spends about two hours each day driving to and from work. His car was, to put it mildly, dirty. I decided to surprise him with Sharp Auto Body’s Detailing Service while he was on a business trip. I brought the car in and was provided with a free loaner which made my life comfortable.
I was excited to see how long it would take my husband to notice the difference. It wasn’t long at all. I picked him up from the airport in my car and was pulling into the garage when he glanced at his car and asked why his car looked so good. Yes, we weren’t even out of the car yet! Then he jumped out of the car to take a closer look. He was happy, ecstatic and thoroughly pleased. Okay, I got this gift right! The next day, as we were driving to church, he kept commenting on how the car looked new again. Then after taking my son back to college, he commented again on his return. This NEVER happens!
Louie, I wanted to thank you for making me look good! Really, I wanted to thank you for the «extra» time you took to meet my expectations as to how a high-​quality detailing job should look. I brought a car there to have the driver’s side window replaced, on a Saturday morning. I was given a loaner car with the understanding that it needed to be returned by Monday evening. Ok, fine. Since my car was going to be ready on Monday, no problem. I’d drop the loaner off and pick mine up. The work on my car was paid for in advance.
The guy who owns the place called me FIVE TIMES at work (NOT exaggerating. Got in trouble for it too, thanks, Sharp) during the course of the following Monday to make sure that I knew that I had to have the loaner back that day. WTF? I heard you the first time…
Insane. I won’t be going back there.
