This was my second time coming here, family friends told me about this place and my family and I thought we’d come here a second chance. First time we wait for 2 hours… Every 30 minutes they would tell us it would be another 15 minutes. Then they ended up opening up a random table in the market place. This is my second and last time coming here because again we waited for an hour after being told when we came in that the wait was only going to be 15 min. And again put inside the shop area because they couldn’t fit us in the back… I don’t usually review places, but it wasn’t worth the drive from queens.

I came in here on my day off cause I was going to make lobsters at home for dinner when I came in to there shop I felt welcomed and surprised how clean the place was. I purchased 3 cooked lobsters for 39 $ and a few other items caught my eye so I went home and re heated everything up for dinner and it was great ill deff be going back to enjoy there in house seating area.

Awesome place, wonderful atmosphere, great food never a disappointment. This place is definitely a nice stop when visiting long island as everyone is viewed as family. More then happy to go in and just say hello on your way to the beach. Want your food fast call in on your way and it’ll be ready by the time you arrive. Want to sit and eat you can do that too just tell them where you want to sit and they will do their very best to sit you where you like. Lobsters, always fresh for the picking come pick what size you’d like and if you want it steamed, broiled, stuffed or grilled have it your way.

Overall a cute place with fresh seafood. The Triple lobsters and Chilean sea bass were nice and fresh. But I came for lobster rolls and they were simply not up to par. Lobster in the rolls did not taste too fresh and was also lacking in flavor. The roll(hot dog bun) tasted store bought and chewy(rather than crunchy and buttery). The side dishes were also mediocre at best. So definitely a recommend for fresh seafood and dining experience(service was great and ambience comfortable), not for the culinary experience.

This is s great spot in the summer to get your lobster roll fix. Years ago this was the first place I ever tried one and I loved it. Since then I’ve tried many. Some great, some not so great. But I always judge it against this one because this was my first one. The lobster always tastes great. The last time I went they forgot to butter and toast my bread which was disappointing. The lobster bisque was good, rich and creamy. Their cherry stone clans were especially delicious on my last visit, also a first for me. Outdoor and indoor seating is available. There fish market also has fresh fish and cold and hot prepared dishes to buy by the pound. Street parking and a parking lot are also available.

I went with my wife for lunch today to Jordan’s Lobster Farms using a local flavor certificate. The restaurant itself is quite attractive and airy with a seating area behind a retail sales area. and outdoor seating that could not be used this time of year You can even look out a window and see crab and lobster being prepared. We first ordered a new england clam chowder which was quite good. We then ordered a lobster roll with fries and a chicken fingers with fries dish. The lobster roll was excellent but quite expensive at 22.00. The chicken fingers were also quite good. Service was excellent and quite responsive. The price to value ratio here is about average for this type of restaurant. All in all this was a very good experience and I look forward to returning in the near future.

Jordan’s is a regular stop for Me on my way home, everything is as fresh as it gets. Steven the operator of this establishment, always takes excellent care of members of the Long Beach Fire Dept. I think for a few reasons: 1) He loves our repeat business(we remain loyal to our local businesses) 2) We always call our order in, we trust their judgment and selection, more importantly they know what we like! 3) We always spend TOOMUCH money, although they give us a little break, we still drop couple hundred for a BBQ or function 4) GOD forbid if there ever is an emergency, we are on it lickety split. We volunteers protect our surrounding districts, the paid force can’t leave the beach. Do yourself a favor and visit there prior to going to a fish msrket, guarantee you’ll thank Me. No fresher seafood then Jordan’s!

Lobster alert! I can see how the reviews are semi inconsistent… Place was good, not amazing but I enjoyed the cozy feel of it and cheery staff and the best lobster bisque. I came here with my parents after a nice walk on the boardwalk … And freezing my ass off… I wanted soup! We came to the right place. We had some baked clams(they were okay) lobster bisque, corn crab bisque I think it was good(very nice pepper kick), lobster roll, and fish n chips… Everything was really good and we had so much left over considering we gulped down our soups almost immediately. Enjoyed our leftovers for dinner :). The lobster bisque was so good. It had a really good flavor and minced lobster inside which made this for a creamy, awesome soup. I would absolutely come here again after my LB walk and I would love to come back in the summer.

Great food! Great value! We came with a group of 10 after a day in Long Beach and they gave us a longer table overlooking the water. The food was plentiful and very reasonably priced. Great for a small group, random dinner night, or celebration. If you can… Get the table by the water. This place is also very relaxed and casual, with a shop inside that you can walk around and purchase souvenirs while waiting for your table. Definitely call for a reservation.

really excited to try this place. Came here with my boyfriend &2 friends. The place is pretty big. So when we got there we got seated fast. The ambiance is cute because it feels like you’re in a beach area since outside theirs a pond. On the summer time I bet its really nice to seat outside. When we came its already cold so we pick to seat inside. For appetizer we ordered raw oyster. Me & my friend ordered lobster with corn on the side. My boyfriend ordered crab cake with fries. My other friend ordered lobster roll. Most of the food taste pretty basic. Lobster taste the same thing when you boil a lobster at home, it taste ordinary. I’m still happy I got to try this place.

Jordan Lobster Farms has been around a long time, since I can remember, and I ain’t young anymore. Their renown is far and wide — and they rest on it. They have a good location on the water — it’s not on the open ocean, but nowhere is — there’s a big beach in the way! The outdoor seating is quaint and comfortable, though there could be more shade. I love that they rescued the ferris wheel from the former Nunley’s in Baldwin, even if it’s pretty much collecting rust. That said, the reason I came, the lobster(as a roll), was a huge disappointment. Now granted — I grew up eating lobsters from Two Cousin’s Fish Market in Freeport, I’ve had lobster from Downeast Maine, through Martha’s Vineyard, all the way down to the Florida Keys(don’t — there are far better seafood options there). My best lobster roll remains the roll @ Luke’s in the city — claw-meat FTW. This roll was a sad scoop of lobster salad, for roughly $ 20. I was practically offended, I was so disappointed. The beer wasn’t cheap, either. They carry breweries popular in Maine(though I’m not sure if they have Shipyard), but so does my local distributor, and for *far* less cost. If you’ve never been, go at least once. Who knows, you may love it. Would be two stars, but for the location, and the provenance.

Jordan Lobster Farm is a cute seafood house just north of long beach. I came here with a group of 7 after spending a day at the beach. We came early to beat the rush, but it was still pretty full at 4pm on a Sunday! We started out with some calamari, which was perfectly crispy. My friend and I had the lobster for two and it was dee-licious! And reasonably priced. Service was a little slow, but understandable during a crowded time.

Wow! I think I just found my new favorite seafood place in NY! Too bad it’s so darn far! We came on a late Friday night and everything was just perfect. We chose to sit outside and it was a perfect summer night. We didn’t wait too long for our food. The service was great. Everyone there was so friendly and I was pleasantly surprised! This place is sort of in the middle of no where. There’s not much around here and we made a pit stop on our way to our hotel. I love baked stuffed clams and a lot of places don’t know how to make it. They’re often either all breading and no clam or the clam is super duper tiny! What the heck is that?!? The stuffed clams here were simply amazing. They were so big and plump and had the perfect amount of breading. This is a must! The crab cake was good! They were really big and very meaty and had a lot of crab in it! Again most places I’ve been to have way too much breading in their crab cake so this was perfect! I also really love soft shell crabs and the soft shell crabs here were so big and so good! This is another must get! We also opted to try the lobster bisque and it was really good since it had a good amount of lobster in it! The lobster bisque’s I’ve always gotten always underwhelmed me since they often lack lobster. This is another must! Last but not least, we had to try the lobster here. You would think with the word lobster in the name, the lobster here would be phenomenal right? Well, I was disappointed =(We tried the lobster roll and while it was good, it wasn’t anything special. I know I was definitely not wow’d by it. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely be back. I wish this place sold their stuff without the fries on the side and you could just order the seafood itself. A girl can only eat so many fries!

Restaurants like this are so depressing. Not only are their service operations terrible, for example at night you have to wait in line for an hour just to order. I mean do you realize how much easier it would be for everybody to just have an order taker outside with an iPad and swiping credit cards with square? Things would go so much faster for everybody, because once you order your food is up in like 10 minutes. I realize this place is probably so local institution that everybody is used to heading to after a day at the beach, but the food is even marginal. I realize there is wide regional variety in proper lobster roll preparation, mayonnaise vs. no mayonnaise etc, but a lobster roll is supposed to be chunk of lobster meat served on a hot buttered and grilled roll. This was chopped up lobster meat turned into a very heavy mayonnaise lobster salad(you can buy the same lobster salad by the pound inside at the deli) and SERVEDON A PLAINHOTDOGBUN. The same kind of bun you’d get out of a bag from the grocery store. The aforementioned buns are fine for grilling some Nathan’s at a BBQ but for a $ 20 lobster roll you should get better. Given the number of people who queue up for this place, I’m shocked a competitor with better operations and better food has not opened up to steal their business. It’s not like a lobster shack with outdoor seating has to have a massive overhead. Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else where they take pride in serving a good product instead of resting on the laurels of a business their parents started 50 years ago.

When we arrived there was a long line. We figured out that there was a takeout with outdoor seating and that inside there was a restaurant. After waiting in line for a bit, one of us went in to see if there was a wait indoors. We were told one hour. While we waited in line we decided to look at the menu. The online menu does not list prices on the menu, which I think is fine for items that are market price, but now for an entire menu. In my opinion as a web designer, this practice is deceitful and this made me wary. Eventually we made our way to the front of the line and got our food. I had seen a sign for a raw bar in the back, so I decided to head that way. The seating further back had a beautiful view and was not crowded at all like the front. Come to find out, we could have gone in the back door, sat at the bar, skipped the 45 minute line and on top of that, we could have had a nice selection of draft beers instead of the one that they offer at the window where you takeout. We ordered lobsters and calamari, skip the calamari– it was chewy and bland. I ordered a lobster roll after seeing one go by. The lobsters were fine. I would skip the chowder as it is not made in house– saw it being poured into the serving pot out of a plastic bag. Also there was a broom and dustpan leaning up next to the lobsters that were set up to be the«display». I edited the broom out of my picture, but pretty gross, and definitely a red flag. TIP: skip the line, head straight to the back bar and order a lobster roll.

Seafood Crunchfest. the crunch was out of this world! Never experienced anything like that before Jordan Lobster Farm 1 Pettit Pl Island Park, NY 516.889.3314 Owner Stephen Jordan The drive itself was an hour and ½ from the Bronx. Upon arrival, we parked in a lot across the restaurant that had ample parking. This huge establishment is an indoor/outdoor amusement park for Foodie Lovers, with a wonderful market showcasing different kinds of seafood spices, dips, cold seafood, salads, desserts and pre-cooked meals for takeout. We were greeted by a trio of lovely Muchachas(young ladies) who were eager to seat us. We were given a choice of indoors or outdoors. We opted for outdoor dining, to take advantage of the outdoor garden overlooking the water. The Backyard Bar is a very casual setting with people dressed in bathing suits grabbing a bite to eat. It has a pretty big bar in the middle, however it wasn’t open when we were there, but nevertheless people sat around eating. There’s outdoor dining to the left that is associated with the indoor part of the restaurant, and then to the right is the outdoor garden, which wraps around a small body of water, with a white picket fence surrounding the diners. Outdoor dining involves ordering at an outside window. The girls behind the register were very knowledgeable of the menu. They helped us put together a seafood fest for two! We ordered the following: Fried Soft Shell Crabs. Los cangrejos were extremely crunchy and flavorful. They were delicioso! Golden fried to perfection and lots of meat! The French fries were an explosion of happiness in our mouths! Lobster Roll — Gigantic portions of lobster meat lightly covered in mayonnaise with small bits of celery on a bed of lettuce in a soft bun. The trosos of lobster were very tasty. 1 whole lobster with fries, corn on the cob, chips,(1) container of melted butter and cole slaw.(.75 for an additional butter.) La Langosta(The lobster) was nicely steamed, succulent and so tender! The corn had a nice crunch to it, when you bit into it, and soft and juicy in the middle. I wasn’t crazy about the chips that were basically a bag of fancy potato chips. They were just too oily for my liking. If you order the lobster, make sure to order the cracker to crack open the shell. It’s a deposit of $ 3 you pay, and get back when you return it. The Key Lime Pie was very good. The crust was crumbly, the key lime pudding was a balanced combination of tart and dulce.(sweet) Pura Delicia! We thanked Stephan, and told him we enjoyed our meal tremendously. He gave us a tour of the back of the restaurant. We got to see the giant tanks filled with gorgeous lobsters, and we were excited to meet the 23 lb crustacean king who’s 95 years old! He is in a tank by himself being taken care of by the owner. No plans on eating El Rey!(The King) Lourdes Gamez Posted on: Tastyladies Facebook Twitter Instagram Unilocal Trip advisor

Literally the worst service I have ever had. Ever. We sat at the bar in the back. Absolutely beautiful. Right on the water, strings of lights hanging up. All signs of a great evening. Nope. 5 bartender, maybe 20 people eating at the bar. No drinks for at least 20 mins. Ordered a bunch of food… That literally never came. During that time everyone was«checking on our order». No you weren’t. Their excuse«we were slammed». Bro… This is Long Beach, if you think that was«slammed» you’re in trouble. After about 3 hrs and literally no food and drinks on an empty stomach, we had a pizza delivered to the bar. Because truly the atmosphere is beautiful and we had a good seat. A couple of the bartenders releized how terrible the service was, and graciously took off ONE round of drinks and ONE lobster we literally never got. Ridiculous. I’m pretty sure we actually just walked out on our bill and left no tip. Go for drinks and the surroundings. Don’t order anything too complicated and be prepared to wait. But to their credit, the outside bar is very beautiful.

I’ve been meaning to write up a review for Jordan Lobster Farms. We came in here for my father and sister’s birthday back in April. My soon to be brother in-law introduced this place to us. He comes here with his father and highly recommended this place because they’re both sailors and dock their boats nearby. Before we were seated, the guys from the restaurant showed us their lobster tank in the back. It was pretty dope. Beautiful healthy looking lobsters. And for a seafood market/restaurant, there wasn’t a heavy stench of seafood. It was well ventilated. The night did come with a few disappointments. They didn’t have their twin lobster deal. It was a single lobster that came with a side which wasn’t very cheap either. The lobster was boiled instead of broiled. It was still good but I prefer my lobster broiled with breadcrumbs and butter if I’m paying close to $ 50 bucks per meal. The fish and chips were a disaster. Not much tenderness and it was over fried. It was dark, not crispy golden. We also order some of their lobster rolls but unfortunately they ran out of rolls and substitute hamburger buns for it. Verdict — It was a pricey night and to be fair and honest about all of it, I was a little underwhelmed. The lobster meat from the lobster rolls tasted better than the lobster special they had going. The service was outstanding. The staff was friendly and courteous throughout the night. No complaints here. I was just expecting more food for the amount we were charged. Overall, I still enjoyed my time here with family. The dining area is a wee bit tight but it’s cozy. I’ll have to come back during true lobster season to give them another shot. As of now, a 4 star seems fair.
