We went to DR. CAROLINACALVET of the New Age Dentistry group because she was my cousins’ and their parents’ dentist. We lived in Queens but we would make the one hour trip to Long Island for our dental visits. Impractical, but worth it. LOCATION– Building is right by the highway; parking is plentiful; and during long waits, one can go shopping in nearby commercial areas. Lots of places to eat, too, in case your appointment falls around lunchtime. OFFICEATMOSPHERE– The dental office isn’t too fancy nor intimidating. It’s just a neat, normal-looking office. The waiting room has a t.v. and an aquarium with live fish resembling characters from Disney’s Finding Nemo. It’s also clean and quiet. STAFF– We had a pleasant experience with the staff who worked on us. They were always friendly to us and made small, meaningful talks. And, during our weekly visits, we had to bring our daughter, who was only a year old at that time. Never did we feel any bad vibes about bringing our child to our appointments. In fact, some of the staff would play with our daughter when they weren’t too busy. Also, the hygienists are quite good in what they do. I appreciated them more since the hygienist in our new town, I think, has heavy hands. DENTIST– We are glad to have come across Dr. Calvet. She is very motherly but professional. I think she has the knack of making her patients feel comfortable with her so that they can trust her. After all, dental visits are very, very intimate. She explains what she is doing or what she plans to do. My husband has very bad dental hygiene but she doesn’t scold or embarrass him for that. We stopped going to her office when we moved Upstate but we have to say, she did a good job with our teeth. Our new dentist was amazed when he saw the work on our teeth. He had only compliments for them.
