Fantastic place for dem unique sandwiches! You can tell they put a lot of love and care into their food. I personally love the green goddess(which is goat cheese, roast pepper, spinach, and artichoke heart i recall). They have fancy paninis(that you can request to be wraps), soups/salad, and gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. I feel this place is a hidden gem that needs to get more attention. My suggestion for this place is to have maybe friendlier hours so i could come more often.

I LOVE this place! They opened a couple on months ago and I’ve been there 3 or 4 times so far. I’ve had almost every sandwich and salad and have not been disappointed once! The green goddess grilled cheese is AMAZING! The only downside is that they are only open for lunch-not breakfast or dinner but I recently saw a sign that they will have a late night so I’m really hoping they expand their hours. Also hoping for some extra seating, maybe outdoors in the summer! The process aren’t cheap but the portions are good. This is my new favorite lunch spot! Highly recommend!

A great addition to the needy lunch scene that extends up into Central Islip. The sandwiches are creative and delicious. I’d post a pic, but they didn’t last long enough on my plate. If you are doing carry out, I suggest ordering online ahead of time because they press everything nice and hot in a panini press, so you’ll save yourself 10 minutes of waiting around.

It doesn’t get any better than this! Cool atmosphere. Great service. DELICIOUS food. Had the Mayflower panini. Think Thanksgiving feast in every bite. The Backyard BBQ grilled cheese was amazing. Great flavor. This was my first visit and it definitely won’t be my last!

Food is great! A little pricey but worth it. I am glad to see they are now staying open later on Friday but frankly I don’t know why they are not open later a couple of days!?! By the time I get home from work, they are closed. It’s a bit ridiculous when you think that many people might eat a casual dinner including sandwiches and soup a couple of nights a week. I also think they need more seating. The seating they currently have is awkwardly set up. Any business person would realize if they are being real, that if you give people a place to eat that’s comfortable they will sit and eat more! This is not rocket science, folks !!!

Stopped in today. Cool looking place, very clean. Attentive professional staff. Ordered the Classic grilled cheese on multigrain with bacon and tomatoes. Outstanding! Exactly how I would make it myself. All the prepared foods looked great and I will try some of those next time. Highly recommend this place. Good job guys.

They really did a nice job with the interior of this place. They have all their sandwiches on display in a case so you can see it before you buy it. Although I don’t think they should say«made to order» since the sandwiches are pre put together, and just pressed to order. Thats a nice thing however so you’re not waiting to long. They have 2 ordering stations. One for the paninis and salads and another for«The melting pot» which is for grilled cheeses. It can be confusing especially if there if more than 1 person in your party and you both order at different stations. You basically have to wait in the middle of the room to see who calls you first. They have bar stool seating along the windows and walls. If you didn’t know this, or see someone sitting there you might think otherwise. While the chairs are unique, they look like tall end tables. They also have outlets and USB ports along the counters where you sit. They have bottled drinks, most are organic which is awesome. Sandwiches average $ 9-$ 10. Drinks $ 2.50. I loved the Harvest Panini. Great grilled vegetables and a nice helping of goat cheese. I tasted my fiancé’s sandwich from the Melting Pot and even though there was coleslaw in it, I thought it was to cold to be a hot sandwich. The Cheese also wasn’t fully melted. Kind of expensive but the ingredients are great. This town definitely needed this place. There is no where around here to get good, hot, unique sandwiches. Will be returning.

We have been looking for a place that has healthy sandwiches/panini’s and saw that this joint opened up in town so we gave it a shot. I ordered the turkey super melt and it was delicious and very fresh. Will be back here for sure!!!

Been meaning to write the review of this gem. Great lunch spot went in twice had an incredibly delicious pastrami melt oozing with cheese and their home made mustard and pickles and on second visit had the pipeline panini which was heavenly with smoky pork and sweet pineapple. Kudos on the lobster bisque which was rich and authentic. I will be back!

I stopped in for takeout on two occasions. We shared a My Hero panini. It was delicious and perfectly balanced with provolone. However you must love hot roast beef. There was some slaw on the panini, but there could have been more. He likes his roast beef cold, but we still enjoyed the panini anyway. The second time we shared a half-sized Pastrami Twist and a half-sized I Know a Guy Panini. The Pastrami was served on hot pretzel panini bread, which was divine. The pastrami was delicious and flavorful. The I Know a Guy was flavorful but had too many different peppers on it and was a little overpowering. The chicken cutlet was flavorful and the broccolirabe was also, I just wish there was more broccolirabe on the panini. The restaurant is clean, tastefully decorated and everything is shiny and new. Our lunch was ready on time, no waiting, and the staff was extremely pleasant. We will definitely be back. I am so happy Artisans Eatery is open! It’s nice to have a place to eat that’s not located all the way down on Main Street. The food was delicious and I wish them success. Welcome to Islip, Artisans!

Have been waiting for a sandwich/panini/salad location for a long time! My husband and I decided to give it a try and we were very pleased. I ordered a tomato and mozzarella panini and my husband ordered a turkey super melt. We also got the chickpea salad as a side to share. Everything was extremely fresh and very tasty! Donna, the owner, was very welcoming and very passionate about what she is doing. All of their products are homemade and we will definitely be back to try different sandwiches, soups and some of the grab and go options. Great job and welcome to the neighborhood!

Saw this place just opened up & wanted to give it a try. I had the eggplant & zucchini panini and my husband had the turkey melt. Both very good. Staff was very friendly. Sandwiches take a little while to cook. I could see that being an issue for people trying to grab the train. But still very tasty. I’m sure these kinks will be worked out as they remain open and get used to high traffic moments. We both want to go back and try their other sandwiches. They had a big selection in pasta salads too that I want to try next time. Will be back for sure.

Not one to rant and rave but this one deserves it… This is one of those places that deserves 6 stars. Drove by there today and curiosity got the best of us… Boy are we happy it did. It’s been«coming soon» for what seems like forever and now I know why. The planning and preparation for this opening was flawless. But most importantly… The food… OHMYGOD! We Sampled 4 different half size sandwiches and don’t think Weve ever had better. Heaven between bread! Walked over to the soups/melts area and was greeted by the chef. He very kindly offered us a sampling of the 4 soups they were serving for the day. Each one was better then the last. Fresh and tasty. Absolutely perfect for a chilly fall day. We left with 1 cup of each. Too good to just pick one! + wife and daughter couldn’t decide. They enjoyed them all.(Chicken veg, chili, tomato, and potato). prior to my departure a young lady who introduced herself as the owner thanked me for stopping in and spent a few minutes talking to me about this soon to be very successful eatery in Islip. Not only will I be back but I will be telling everyone I know about it… Worth every ounce of effort to get there. Beautiful atmosphere, wifi friendly, great service and most importantly… Food to die for! Oh… Almost forgot… Try the chocolate! Through a marshmallow and a s’mores in my bag with the soups. Very very good. Congrats Artisans on what has been a very strong start and what will be a very long and successful venture!!!
