I use joy for all my flowers, from
Bouquets to arrangements to centerpieces, they always come out so beautiful and the flowers are always so fresh they have lasted for weeks,!! She made centerpieces for both my baby shower & my sons christening, I’ve used her for numerous special occasions & have always been so happy. She always has great ideas & has always been able to see my vision I love things that are unique and one of a kind,!! She’s such a great person to work with,!!

I cannot begin to describe the pure beauty that is Elegant Design by Joy. Now try to understand that as someone who is ALLERGIC to flowers, this part of planning our wedding came very low on the totem pole. All we wanted was a centerpiece for each table, bouquets for our girls and boutonnieres for our men. Joy had told me that any extras I had bought on my own she would gladly set up. Let me tell you something, Joy managed to take our very fake and artificial fall foliage purchased at Christmas tree shop and turn them into something out of a fairy tale. Saying my jaw dropped would be an understatement. And to put the icing on the cake, the day before our wedding I received an email from Joy stating nothing other than wishing me a stress free day. Purely selfless and so professional. Day of our wedding Joy arrived and did everything without me even knowing. After she was done she personally hand delivered mine and my girls bouquets to our bridal suite. 7 including my own, and on her own adding a special touch to my sisters. Our main centerpiece arrangements were breathtaking. They were a compilation of fall floral with greenery all coming out of a pumpkin. PERFECT for fall! If i EVER need floral arrangements i will certainly look no farther. This is one business that deserves every award they’ve won and then some. THANK YOU JOY!

Joy was an absolute pleasure to work with. I had come in for our first appointment with an idea of what I wanted for my wedding. I showed her some inspiration pictures and she immediately started pulling flowers from all over her shop to give me an idea of what it would look like. I told her upfront what my budget was and she gave me a lot of alternatives to make sure I had everything I wanted. Joy was quick to respond to my emails, especially the week before what I was questioning everything! But she calmed my nerves, thank god! As soon as we walked into our venue, I saw the centerpieces and was blown away by the flowers. Everything was beautiful and exactly what I envisioned. My husband and I were so impressed by her hard work and the flowers.

I needed a lovely and affordable arrangement for my grand aunt who just passed away — I found out one day beforehand and decided that the arrangement the funeral home provided were too expensive and not that wonderful either — after checking out the photos of arrangements and prices at Elegant, I decided
to go with them. Called — answering machine — left message and less
than an hour later call was returned– Joy had to check her inventory once I places my order but any substitutes exceeded the original and
she was mindful of my budget as well — a beautiful arrangement — even lovelier than the website photo-​arrived in time for the wake. Prominently displayed I believe
the family thought so too! Joy was helpful even suggesting what the card could say when I was stumped for words– I believe the heavens were watching out for me when I called EBJ–

LOVE… LOVE…LOVE Elegant Designs by Joy ! I’ve been working with Joy and her team for over three years. They always make me feel like I am in the best of hands and always go above and beyond. Whenever I plan an event, I know immediately I want to work with Elegant Designs by Joy. I trust Joy and her team. They are so talented. I’ve worked with other floral designers in the past and she is so different. She just gets it. I paint her a picture of the feeling I’m going for in my event and maybe show her a picture or two — and when the centerpieces arrive — they are beyond what I could ever imagine. Her work always takes my breath away and I know my guest feel the same about her work. At the end an event, guest fight over who will have the chance to bring home and enjoy her exquisite centerpieces.
I’m so grateful I have Joy and her team. I feel like an event is not complete without having one of their masterpieces.

This florist is the best on the south shore! As another florist owner, I can appreciate all the time, quality, care, and creativity that goes into everything that walks out of this shop. Doesn’t get any better than Elegant Designs!

Very disappointed. Joy does not stand by her policies! I received an arrangement for my birthday. Some of the flowers started dying two days after. I called and requested the dying flowers be replaced, and they refused to do so. Not only did they not believe me, they insisted I had done something to cause these flowers to die! I asked them to have a driver come take a look, and switch out the dying flowers, replacing them with new ones. the manager said they could not, that they would lose money. They offered me a full refund instead. I hesitantly accepted, this was not my intention to get a refund. I simply wanted to continue to enjoy the gift my son sent to me. 10 minutes after speaking to the manager, Joy herself called me and insisted I place the arrangement outside for pick up to receive the refund?!. Are you kidding me??? They would not simply replace four dead flowers, but they were at my door within minutes to pick up the arrangement! Very Poor customer service and extremely bad business!

Needed flowers in a pinch for my fiancées bridal shower when I picked her up. Found this shop on Unilocal.Awesome! Super helpful and the flowers are beautiful. Everyone at the shower LOVES them. Highly recommend.
Oh did I say I ordered at 2 and they were ready to go 2:30.

Joy was a pleasure to work with. Her arrangements are of the highest quality and her attention to details shows in her work. I look forward to working with her in the future.

Elegant Designs is a unique Florist located right in the heart of Islip Hamlet. Joy the owner is passionate about her designs and overseas everyone of her weddings and works very closely with her brides and grooms.
She works with flowers I have never seen anywhere else and comes up with design concepts that are always magazine worthy. Stop in and say hello and experience a little bit of heaven on earth.

I had my daughter’s bridal shower yesterday and had the centerpieces designed by Joy. I have never had so many compliments from guests on flowers! Beautiful, fresh, elegant and contemporary. I began using Elegant Designs by Joy on a personal recommendation last year and am glad I did. She has become my «go to» florist throughout the year. Her customer service is first class. This morning the flowers are fresh & a beautiful reminder of a spectacular day. Job well done.
