I decided to try this place out this morning, and I was thoroughly impressed. The barber is a professional at men’s haircuts, and really takes his time. He paid close attention to detail and left me with a great looking gentleman’s cut. He’s also very easy to talk to and has spent his entire life on the eastside The caboose itself is also really cool, a real piece of local history. Remember to bring cash. I’ll definitely be back

Have of course looked high and low for a good quality hair cut. Ths fellow consistently does a outstanding cut for me. I have been to him 5 or more times and always get a great professional looking cut the way I want it.

The barber was rushed, and Over priced, my wife thought i cut it myself… disliked the cut so much she asked me to go back and try to get it fixed. The barber was not happy I asked him to correct it. Without the caboose ambiance and the cold AC I would have given him 2 stars. The unsanitary hand vac used on my head was scary. I will not be going back.

How can a barber shop in a caboose be anything but cool? The shop is clean, the barber is friendly and very good at men’s cuts. Price is typical for the services. One word of warning — no appointments and expect to wait at least 30 minutes.

We have been taking our son here since it opened and love the service. Maurice is a great guy and always does the haircut exactly as we ask. Very friendly and great conversation. The price is a little on the high side($ 24) but well worth the money as it always comes out right. Highly recommend you go.

I got my hair cut here for the first time this morning. There are several things that I liked about this place. First and foremost, the haircut was great. I have been going to the chain hair salons(Great Clips, Supercuts, etc) and it is so rare at those places to find someone who can competently cut mens hair. That is not a problem here. The owner/barber listened to what I wanted(which was a very simple, #3 and to blend it into the top), and gave me a great cut. Second, the owner is a down-to-earth regular guy, and that made it easy to strike up a conversation that wasn’t awkward or forced, like it often is at one of the chain places that has constant staff turnover. Finally, the caboose car itself is a really interesting novelty. I went at 10:30 on a Saturday morning and there was a bit of a wait, but I really didn’t care because it was cool to check the caboose out. Note that you will need to bring cash; credit/debit is not accepted. A cut currently runs $ 24. I will be coming back the next time I need my hair cut.
