I am a fan of Dr. Elizabeth Evans and her staff. Dr. Evans is by far the best OB/​GYN specialist I have seen. She took put immediately at ease with the procedure that needed to be done. Her nurses were polite, courtesy, and enjoyable to talk prior to the exam.

Incredibly disappointed in how I was treated by front desk. I called two months ago and the soonest I could get in was Dec 11, okay fine made the appointment. Triple confirmed on the phone. Called my doctors office right after and asked them to send my records as the front desk woman requested. I called today to make sure my records went through given my appointment was a week or so away. The woman tells me my appointment was CANCELED. I asked her how that was possible because I never canceled my appointment and that I have been waiting two months. She put me on hold then came back to tell me I «must have called to cancel.» BUT I NEVER CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT. Could not believe she told me that, so incredibly rude. I told her thanks anyway I won’t be trying to schedule another appointment. Blessing in disguise if you ask me…

First off, one of their phone numbers they call from rings and goes to a voicemail. A voicemail they don’t ever check. I called almost every other day trying to get my exam results but no one was ever there (according to the receptionist) to give me those results.
Then when someone FINALLY called me back almost two months later, the nurse tried to blame it on me for not answering my phone. They never called and never left any voicemails.
So not only did it take them 2 months to give me my exam results, I went to a new doctor and they went over my previous records from this clinic… they left out some VERY important results about my test coming up positive for something serious. The nurse just told me «everything is normal, see you next year.» My new doctor was shocked. I’m pissed and glad I’ve moved on!

I am happy with Dr. Evans, but I wish she had better staff. Dealing with the lady who answers the phone, Pradma (?), is a struggle.

I was far from pleased with my experience with Dr. Catherine Thomas and her staff. After my first appointment with her for my pregnancy, I was never able to reach her to discuss concerns that came up. Apparently, she splits her time between the Bellevue clinic and the Issaquah clinic. I was only provided her number for the Issaquah clinic, which was problematic. If I called her on a day when she was not in the clinic, her staff refused to transfer me to her other office or provide me with a phone number for the other clinic. I was told the best they could do was to fax her and maybe she would call back tomorrow. Unfortunately, despite leaving messages and faxes for her, Dr. Thomas never returned any phone calls. Her medical assistant, Thao, apparently was the only point of contact; she barely spoke English.
Her unavailability became very concerning when her medical assistant, Thao, called and spoke to my partner stating that I had an infection and needed antibiotics. Afterward she spoke to me and told me I had a completely different issue than what she told my partner. She offered to call in a prescription to the pharmacy and when I went to pick it up, the prescription was for the first diagnosis she told my partner and not for diagnoses she told me I had. Subsequently, I tried calling Dr. Thomas to find out what I was diagnosed with and what treatment I should pursue and was met with very rude staff members (Suzie) who were extremely belittling and unhelpful. Dr. Thomas never called me back. If this infection or issue could affect the baby, wouldn’t you expect a call back from the doctor? Instead, I was left with researching my two possible diagnoses for answers. (I say two diagnoses because I was never sure what my diagnoses was)
During my first (and only) visit with her, Dr. Thomas briefly discussed genetic testing and had me sign a form saying I did not want to pursue these tests. Thao reiterated that «we don’t do those tests anymore anyway.» However, after doing copious amounts of research on the pamphlets given to us, it was decided I wanted to pursue these tests anyway. When I called to schedule the tests, at first Thao did not know what tests I was talking about then announced we were given the wrong, out-​dated pamphlet. We had to redo all of our research (since Dr. Thomas never returned our phone calls). When we finally decided via our own research which test to take, because of Dr. Thomas & Thao’s unavailability and lack of follow through, it took over one week to schedule it. These tests are time sensitive and if they are not done within a certain timeframe, they are no longer available to you. Later our new doctor informed us that one of the tests that was performed was for women under the age of 35 (I am over 35). Because Dr. Thomas failed to order the correct test, there were a number of false-​positive results. This caused an insurmountable amount of stress for us — all of it unnecessary. If Dr. Thomas would have communicated with us and if she would have cared enough to make sure she ordered the correct tests and given us the correct information, this pregnancy would not have been so fraught with stress and anxiety. Everything communicated to us by Thao was unclear and untrusted. How could you trust the medical opinion of a medical assistant (who is NOT a doctor) and who does not have complete mastery of the English language?

Dr. Evans delivered both of my boys and is amazing. She was always so nice at all my appointments and very professional. She listened to my concerns, answered all my questions even though I’m sure she’s been asked hundreds of times! Recently I’ve seen Dr. Thomas for a couple of appointments just because it worked better with my schedule. She is also very professional and nice!

I have been working with Judith Unger A.R.N.P. for many years, and when she moved to Issaquah OB/​GYN, it was an easy decision to follow her!
I make the trek from West Seattle to Issaquah because she is so spectacular! She is very thorough, and always take the time to answer my questions, as well as explore all of my options.
Judith continuously makes sure I have everything I need, then goes above and beyond to make sure I’m set. And on top of that, she is just the most lovely person!
I recommend to anyone looking for an OB/​GYN set an appointment with Judith; she is an absolute joy and pleasure to work with!

When I called to make my first appointment they directed me to the paperwork online and to bring a photo ID and insurance card. On arrival they took the paperwork without checking my ID… I could have been anyone. I saw Dr. Thomas, she was very polite but I did feel rushed and she was asking me very unusual questions. She asked a few questions about my job and such but to be fair she was always respectful, however the conversation just seemed odd.
Right after I went to get my blood drawn and they asked my birth date, turns out they had me at 1994 and not my actual birthday of 1984. 10 years! I called the office to correct the problem. The next day I picked up a physicians letter for work… with my incorrect date of birth still not corrected.
I am disappointed in how the office keeps their paperwork, and how in a conversation with the Doc she was unable to figure out the mistake on her own, much less double check my information. I got the impression she wasn’t really listening to me. These small mistakes makes me wonder would else falls through the cracks unchecked?

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service and no regard to HIPAA laws. For every past doctors office that I have requested records from, I have been asked to verify birth-​date and provide a Patient Records Release form. After not being asked to verify my identity, I called back to speak to «Suzie» alarmed that I was not asked to verfiy my identity and was told that «not many people are going to call for other peoples pap results history» while she laughed. Very rude, degrading, and unprofessional. Bottom line, it is HIPAA law, and the patients right to have medical history kept private.
If you want your medical history kept private, I would suggest you find a different office!

I was very surprised to read the review by «Chantel.» I also saw Dr. Catherine Thomas and found her to be very warm, attentive and helpful with my issues. She was able to diagnosis my symptoms and get me started on some trial medications to see how they work before I spend money at the pharmacy. I will see her again for follow up. She is very caring and really listens to you. I highly recommend Dr. Thomas.

Finding Judy Unger, ARNP working at Issaquah OB/​GYN was great news to me! I’ve admired her for years for her calm demeanor and gracious bedside manner.
She has genuine regard for her patients and it makes my drive from NE Tacoma and easy sacrifice just to continue in her care. In addition, the office staff was friendly, warm and inviting. I also enjoyed her friendly and professional nurse, Renee.
