Issaquah Vision, PS

Last December I went in and saw Dr. Cassidy and his staff. I tried to explain my history and I felt like they weren’t listening to me. I told them that my vision was getting worse fast. They blew through the appt. and acted like it was no big deal. Maybe it was because I was one of the last patients of the day and they just wanted out of there? I just felt like they didn’t hear me or care about me. I later went to another Dr. and found that I’m basically legally blind in my left eye, have to be referred to a specialist, and will probably need surgery. Granted, I may have gotten even worse in the in-​between time, but my vision was really bad, even then. I feel that they should’ve caught it and regret not getting a second opinion (and paying for it myself since they had just taken all of my insurance money.)

I have been going to Issaquah Vision for over 17 years. My experience over the years as been wonderful. The staff is friendly, the doctors are knowledgeable and location is very convenient. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have been to 3 other optometrist clinics in the area and have had bad luck getting a pair of glasses that worked and finally ended up at Issaquah Vision. The gal there took one look at my lenses and said that they were a unique brand and because my eyes were accustomed them it would be very hard to switch. The glasses I got from them worked perfect. The doc there is great and the staff go out of there way to help. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!-

Today was my first visit to this office. Everybody was very kind. Even though they were running a bit late and I had another appointment that I couldn’t miss, the receptionist, technician and Dr. Cassidy did their best to expedite my appointment. Thank you so much! I have been to Issaquah vision for a couple years now, but honestly I have not once had a good experience, even with my numerous visits. They are a preferred office with my insurance, in my area. But the lack of customer service and the bad attention keeps me from wanting to come back.

I have been seeing Dr. Walter Cassidy for 30 years. He is the most caring doctor I have ever been to. And he is super thorough if he suspects problems with your eyes. I always feel I will receive the best care around with him. In addition, the rest of the staff are always super helpful and happy and a joy to be around.

I have lost track of how many years I have been seeing Dr Steve Cassidy at Issaquah Vision. I take medication that has an effect on my vision so he is very careful to watch for any signs of change in the macula during my annual exam.
During my most recent exam I was not doing very well and the Technician that performed the Optimap procedure and other portions of the pre-​exam tests was very solicitous and kind. She was sure not to rush the tests so I was able to compose myself between them. Then Dr Steve was so kind and patient when I had a ‘mini-​meltdown’ in the exam room. His gentle bear hug made everything so much better.
I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for an eye care professional. The thoroughness of the exam, the in-​depth explanation of the Optimap, and the personable staff make it worth the trip to see them.

DR. STEVE CASSIDY IS THE BEST! Cassidy and his staff are lovely – I always have a great experience here. The desk ladies are very friendly and informative (they tolerate my insurance questions really well). And as for Cassidy and his assistants, they feel more like family than just my annual eye exam team. Honestly. They’re always asking about my family and life pursuits – so personable! You won’t find a cozier environment for your optical health needs.

I love going here! Today was my last visit before moving to another state and I’m reminded of just how nice everyone here is.
As other’s have said, Dr. Stephan Cassidy is really great as are the staff. I always feel so welcome and cared for here. In fact you feel like part of the family here. I’ve had several bad experiences at other offices and I must admit I hold little loyalty to most providers (I’ve had several different dentists and doctors in the last few years) but I love going here. As another reviewer said, you are willing to drive to go here. I could see traveling to Issaquah just to go here if I ever came back to live in WA.
From Dr. Cassidy’s easy going demeanor, I would be shocked if he isn’t amazing with kids. If you’re looking for a new eye doctor, please try out Issaquah Vision.

I have been seeing Dr Stephen for about 20 years now. I would not ever go anywhere else. He is the kind of doctor you are willing to drive far to see. Every time I go in, I know that not only am I going to great service and attention to my needs, but it’s FUN! It’s actually fun to get an eye exam. We laugh every time. Now that I have kids of my own, I know exactly where to take them :)

I have been going to see Dr Stephan for over 7 years now. My last visit included 4 different visits in order to get my prescription just right. Dr Stephan stuck with me and tried a bunch of options before coming to the correct script for me.
He’s also very nive and personable, which makes the visit a treat. His tech, Jenny, is super sweet, too and very good at what she does.

I’ve been seeing eye doctors since I was 2 years old. Now that I’m 41, I have a ton of experience. Dr Stephen and Olga (eyeglass technician) are GREAT. The bedside, or exam room, manner is exceptional. I have never felt so at ease as I do at their office. They have all the latest gadgets for scoping our your eyes such as the Optomap and they even do pre– /​post-​op for LASIK surgeries. Even though I’m going to get LASIK soon so I dont have to visit them as much personally, the family (little kids too) will continue to see Dr. Stephen.
Only reason I give them $$$ is they carry high-​end, high-​quality frames.
