Food is good, but they wouldn’t answer the phone when I tried to place an order. I had to go to the restaurant and wait 20 minutes for take out.

I ate here twice over the course of two weeks. Both meals were great. Prices seemed to be a bargain as well. The staff was pleasant.

Worst Hospitality and Customer service. They need to be taught a lesson or two in customer hospitality. We were party of 3, and seated on 4 chair table. One of the chair on my side was empty. A waiter pulled the chair to move it to another table without even asking for permission. I find that rude and mistreatment. I voiced in right away saying«At least have some politeness to ask» and that guy just stormed away with the chair. He didn’t even apologize. Food was okay but very late. They didn’t even keep our empty water cups filled. I always tip all restaurant with dining experience. This is the first restaurant I paid 0 as tip, that speaks how unsatisfied I am with their service. I will definitely not visit this restaurant again.

If you need a dosa fix, this is the place to go. Superb food, and service. Tip: If you’re not a late dinner eater, get there when door opens, or you might be waiting, as they do not take reservations.

We have been there a lot of times. Our personal favourites are paneer masala dosa, thayir vada, 14 idli sambar and filter coffee. Definitely best South Indian food near Seattle. Sometimes the wait times are longer but its worth the wait :)

Authentic South Indian food at reasonable prices. The goat dosa, masala dosa and kothu parota are all very good. The surprising food item that I really liked was the tandoori chicken, soft and tender North Indian/Pakistani chicken was not something I expected to find here. Their biryanis are also pretty good and so are their chutneys that they serve with the dosa. I have tried South Indian food throughout the Seattle area and this is amongst the top 2. Parking is plenty but the lines can get long during weekend lunch and dinner times.

This is my fifth visit here, and it’s about time I complete this 5-star review of this place to while I wait for my name to be called. Yes they are very busy and you have to write down your name in a notepad that hangs by the door. That places you in the wait list. Nice and simple. This place is so amazing, that I choose to come here for my birthday dinner. I am now a regular visitor, I know the menu in-and-out and bring my friends, all the time. If you go just before rush hour starts, you can save some time on waiting. The sambar they have is the best on all of Eastside Indian restaurants. The paper roast dosa is made as long as the table, making everyone eye your plate and wonder, I want thaaaattttttt! This place definitely takes me home, and most staffs are also the owning partners, which is shown in their willingness to help you. In Google maps app, there is «popular times» feature. Just check when it peaks, and go 20 mins before that time. You will be happy! :)

The most authentic south Indian food I have eaten in Washington as of now. We ordered mini masala dosa, sambar vada, adai avial and pongal. Everything was just super yummy. The adai was crisp, drenched in ghee and served with sumptuous avial. Every single morsel was totally yummy. Hubby and I loved their sambar too. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but portions are good. Their Dosas are really big. We didnt order that, but there is always a next time The owner of the restaurant accommodated us, even though we called in an hour before they closed. They dont take reservations, and for a good reason. Even on a monday, it was so busy that we snatched up the last few seats available. Well worth the 45 minute drive!

I have dined at this restaurant with my family few times. First time the owner told us their staff members were ill and hence slow service. Next few times, it was chaos every time. No process, no new staff. We tried delivery — their phone is either engaged or nobody pickup! I am not sure if the owners don’t care or they are just overwhelmed. Too bad; the food is not worth the trouble.

Came in with a bunch of hungry friends and left adjusting(read. loosening) our denims! Seriously tasty and authentic food from Southern India topped with the warmth of the staff here. We ordered a tonne of stuff — from a variety of dosas, idli sambar, onion pakora, goat curry and filter coffee. Everything was delicious. I always give huge importance to hospitality and it improves my food experience manifold. It is at places like these that you want to tip well, just as a way to say thank you! A definite recommendation for South Indian food in the Greater Seattle area. Cheers!

Editing my review after my visit last night Pros: — Food tests good. Very spicy, if you are not south indian. –Great vegetarian options –Clean interior –Family friendly –Plenty of parking Cons: — Small sitting –No waiting area inside. It’s hard to wait outside in rain or cold. — Little pricey for the food served. — Very slow service. They must need more staff at least during rush hours.

Saw the review and was missing Dosa from back home… I ordered the chicken dosa with much anticipation. It was below expectation, and prices was high for what was offered.

More like 3.5 stars. This places serves probably the best South Indian Food in Seattle Metro Area. We ordered Sambhar vada, mini idlis, mysore masala dosa and vegetable uthapam. The vada was my favorite thing of the meal. It was crispy, well cooked and soft at the same time. The mini idlis were good but probably not the best I have had. Mysore masala dosa was spicy, flavorful and crispy(a rarity because it becomes soggy). The potatoes were tasty! The uthapam was my next favorite thing. With abundance of vegetables, it was prefectly cooked and tasted amazing. The sambhar was well balanced and was seasoned to perfection. The reason was taking off 1.5 stars? They are stingy when it comes to coconut chutney(101 of south indian food) and even sambhar. I like drenching my food in sambhar and chutney but missed that.

Too good! Wayy better than Udupi in Bellevue. We tried Masala dosa and Mysore masala dosa. Liked the masala but Mysore dosa could have been slightly more spicy. Sambhar was quite authentic and so were the chutneys.

Good. Customer service is a plus and there’s plenty of parking. The only downside is the quality of meat; we didn’t get a lot of lamb on our plates, the meat we had were mostly of bones and fat, and overall scarce. The sauces they give you though, is something that makes me want to come back.

This place is awesome… I always wished for a place within city serving good South Indian Food. Along came Madras Corner(Tahdaaa). Freshest Dosas and some special items that you usually won’t get in other places. Definitely try their Masal Vadai and Podi Idli. I personally did not like their Gravy Dishes at all. Also Pizza Uttapam was something I hated here. However I would not say you cant give it a shot sometime. But for your first visit, Definitely order Masal Vadai/Podi Idli/Dosas/Utappas

This food was absolutely phenomenal. I cannot possibly put into words how good this really tasted. The presentation was simple and beautiful. The portions more than adequate. The ingredients fresh and of quality. The spicing transcendent. The place is always busy and full of ethnic Indian diners, which is always a good sign that the food is truly authentically prepared. If you can’t make it to India to eat, this is the next best thing. Do yourself a favor and get here as soon as possible. The staff is beyond polite, so tip well.

Finally we found a place that serves the Indian food we were craving. Sambar, dosas, uttapams, All could be found here. The variety of dosas was bewildering. We went with the mysore masala, sambar trio(sambar with idli and lentil doughnut), paper roast dosa, and the cheese dosa. All the food was very good including the chutneys. I have had better sambar before but this satisfied my cravings nicely. The mysore masala dosa was excellent and the paper roast dosa is huge. I also thought that the uttapam was one of the best I’ve had. Now why only three stars? Two reasons: service and price. Service was very slow. I would not ding them for this as the place was very busy, but they also clearly don’t know how to plan to serve the food. My daughter’s dosa came way after all of our other food was received and my son had even finished his food. This is a bad thing when it is a child’s food that is delayed. It was very difficult to keep her occupied until her dosa arrived. They need to figure out a way to prepare and bring the food together. Also the prices are really steep. I’m surprised to see dosas starting at $ 7 for a plain dosa. Maybe this is the new norm though. Or maybe it’s just the lack of competition. There were certainly enough customers there.

Madras dosa corner offers authentic South Indian cuisine and is located in between the Sports Authority and Rite Aid stores next to the licensing center. I am very excited about this restaurant as it is primarily focused on South Indian food unlike Mirchi and Chaat n Roll in Issaquah that also offer South Indian and are recent additions. Just until a few months ago the only alternative for South Indian was to drive to Udipi in Redmond. The restaurant was very busy the 2nd day of opening as it can only seat 35 – 40 people at a time. Still we were able to get a table as we decided to seat ourselves as the restaurant staff — mostly owner and family — was overwhelmed with the opening rush. We ordered the medu vada in appetizer section. The vadas had been premade and were not piping hot but tasted great. The sambhar was good just not too hot as it should be. The masala dosa took way too long to come due to the confusion in the restaurant and they served 2 tables who came in after us, as they’re still figuring this out. The owner did apologize about this at the end. The dosa was well made and not too oily and had a good potato filling. The chutneys tasted like they added water to increase quantity! Sambhar was ok but too little in quantity and not piping hot. I am going to go easy on them and attribute this to growing pains, but in a month they should be doing better. We left after 9PM their closing time but people were still lined up. Everyone loves dosa! 7⁄30 — returned again Friday evening and ordered a paper masala dosa. This is the 3rd dosa I’ve ordered here and it again came out cold. I asked the table next to me and their dosa was cold too. I asked them about it and they said it’s due to using less oil and it cools faster. Hmmm! The restaurant is really busy and there are too many people walking by and lots of confusion. so it’s not a peaceful experience if you go at a busy time. Give them a month and things will be more organized. However, the food is good.
