Very competitive rates when we shopped around. Nice crew to work with. There is a little bit of lack of communication between office and workers getting things done but they still delivered great work once we worked that out.

Noël and his crew did a fantastic job trimming my trees and bushes AND they completely cleaned up all of the debris. They arrived on time and were friendly and helpful. I definitely will recommend them as well as use them again. Great Job!

As the owner of a 9 acre, heavily treed property in Issaquah I have had a great deal of large tree related projects. Shortly after purchasing my property, I had several very large dangerous trees next to my house that needed to be taken down immediately. I was referred to Matt’s Tree Service by a neighbor who had Alex and his crew remove 4 large maple trees that were dangerously close to his house. My neighbor couldn’t say enough good things about the skill, professionalism, and quality work & clean up he had with Matt’s Tree Service.
The very next day after I contacted Matt’s Tree Service, I met Alex and I have never needed to look again for a company to take care of all my large tree projects– and I have had a lot! Alex not only looked at the dangerous trees and limbs around my house, he walked the entire property with me to identify other dangerous trees and map out a long term plan for the trees on my propert. Alex was incredibly professional and knowledgeable and I could tell immediately he was not interested in trying to get as much «work» out of me that he could! On trees or limbs that I thought needed to be taken care of right away, Alex let me know that they were OK and we could watch them or take care of them at a later date. This is the type of honesty and integrity I truly respect and appreciate.
Since that day, I have had Alex and Matt’s Tree Service remove large, rotten danger trees around my house, limb up branches off a huge Cedar tree that hangs directly over my roof, remove Ivy from several 100+ foot maple, cedar and fir trees, prune dead branches, and thin out trees for better light and health. Every job I have had done has been reasonably priced, promptly completed, and cleaned up beautifully.
Alex and his crew are very professional and truly talented at what they do. It is amazing to see Noël and the other climbers go up these enormous trees with incredible ease and skill. Noël is not only a very skilled climber /​logger (which is very important and so hard to find), he is also incredibly knowledgeable about everything to do with trees and just about the nicest guy you will ever meet.

I was hesitant to call a tree service because of a bad experience I had in the past but I needed a tree from my backyard removed because the roots were hitting the house. I found Matt’s online and they were great. The guy who came for my estimate was professional and did a great job explaining the process of the removal to me so that I fully understand the price structure. We had a huge cottonwood in our backyard, on a very difficult slope. It needed to be removed due to it’s proximity to our house. Matt’s worked with the city to have the tree declared a hazard, saving me the time and hassle of dealing with our city government.

We hired Matts Tree Service this past summer to remove 5 large trees from my sons property in Issaquah. I heard about them from a neighbor. They did a great job for a reasonable price. We were actually paid from the mill for the Cedar trees and used the money to remove 2 more that we could now afford. Alex handled the job and was very helpful. I would highly recommend them.

I would recommend Matt s Tree Service to anyone! We had a HUGE tree that we needed taken down. I got several bids and Matt s was the best. The tree was touching our house and they took it down very easily without damaging the tile deck below it. It was amazing to watch. A year later we just used them again to limb three trees that hung over our house. They were great again. The workers were very nice and easy to talk to.

Simply outstanding service and professionalism from this family-​run business. Alex showed up at the scheduled time at our new home and performed a thorough inspection of our landscaped property with lots of helpful advice. His estimate was available by the end of the day which was very reasonable. Four-​man crew took down 2 large pine trees near the house without any problems in under 2 hours. They cleaned up every branch and left the property spotless. They returned a few days later to complete a stump grind and again left the property spotless and immediately ready to replant another tree. They even gave me a discount afterwards which was another great surprise. They responded immediately to all my calls and emails and I wish all my contractors could give me such reliable service. This company is the best and I will call them again for more work!

On time for appointments, fairly priced and a great job done removing and stump grinding two trees. On the day of the work, I couldn’t be at the house, so they asked if I could tie ribbons on the trees. It was a perfect solution and saved me from having to rearrange my schedule. When I got home, they were finishing up and the yard looked beautiful. I was so happy with the service when I used them in November that I’m having them come back to do some trimming and removal of another tree.

We had Matt’s remove a very large fir tree from our back yard last year. We chose Matt’s because their pricing was WAY more reasonable than every other bid we received. We were very pleased with the tree and stump removal job that they did. We weren’t home the afternoon they did the work — it was surreal to leave with a HUGE tree in the backyard and to come home a couple hours later and it was completely gone, except for some big pieces of the trunk they couldn’t fit on their initial removal truck. It did take longer than a week for them to come back and remove those big pieces, but the rest of the debris and limbs were removed that same day. We are getting ready to have Matt’s come back to remove some other trees in our yard — overall very happy with the quality of the work, customer service and definitely the price!

The very pleasant crew showed up 30 minutes early, worked quickly, cut the trees exactly how Alex and I discussed and did an amazing clean up! My lawns and areas under the trees looked MUCH better after their work! HIGHLY recommended!

Matt came out on 3 hours notice on a Sunday to take down a dying maple that was beyond my capabilities. I’ve taken down many a tree but this one got me thinking it was time to call in a pro. Plus I was on a strict timeline for excavation starting this week so I needed it done quick like. Matt arrived on time, quoted a fair price and had that sucker down in 30 min by himself. Highly recommended!

Called Matt’s after looking for a local tree service company. My issue was a very large branch had been broken off an even larger tree (35′ tall) in my front yard when a moving truck driver for a neighbor was being careless.
The tree was a Platanus occidentalis, also known as the American Sycamore. When Matt arrived he said the tree would survive and offered to cut-​off the jagged part where the limb had broken off. Matt said he wouldn’t charge for the service, and after he completed I made multiple attempts to give him some $ but he refused, saying only, «Welcome to the neighborhood.»
We need guys like Matt running small businesses in the area. He knew what he was doing (had lots of climbing equipment to get up the tall tree), was very personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Matt’s Tree Service if you need tree service done.

Matt’s Tree Service of Issaquah ruined my lawn!
I hired them to grind a stump during one of those wet springs, so I could add a bathroom to the back of the house where the tree used to be. They used a thousand pound machine and ran it from the front to the back of my house across my lawn. When I saw the damage, Barbara Lasko, the owner, told me that it was the only way to remove the stump. I called other companies and asked them what they would do in that weather and was told they’d use a portable stump grinder. She wouldn’t relent, so I ended up paying them and then hiring another company to repair the damage they did. She only cares about money, so don’t hire them!
