This place was amazing I made an appointment on short notice. Holly did my hair she was fantastic from the atmosphere to the products I was impressed. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to get there hair done in Issaquah.

I’ve been going to this salon for the past 6 years I usually get my hair cut about every 6 months by Shelby! I love her she’s the only person I trust to cut my hair and she always makes my hair look awesome and does exactly what I want! I recently went in to get my hair balayaged by her and it was the first time I’d ever dyed my hair! My hair looks amazing I’m so happy with the results and I will continue to drive an hour out to the salon just to have Shelby cut my hair. The people that work there are so nice and the products they use on your hair are so good for your hair! I could not be happier!

Absolutely love this place! Love my new cut and color! Nice people and great prices. Can’t beat it. Normally I can always find flaws when I get a color, but not this time. I will be back and I highly recommend them.

I AM SOO EXCITED I found Austyn who is Amazing! She is highly skilled with foiling and cutting! She does BEAUTIFUL BLONDES! (Aveda is the only color line I let touch my hair because it creates the prettiest blondes but it needs to go hand and hand with a good stylist) I have had THE WORST experiences with my hair since moving to Washington. Just nightmare after nightmare and some salons I would pay a ton too. So I am very excited to have found someone who CARES that I love my hair when I leave. Thank you Austyn!

Had a great haircut! I think the hairdresser’ s name was Amanda (hope I got that right). She spent a lot of time in making my long-​overdue-​for-​a-​haircut hair look decent. Bit on the expensive side though. Would give 4.5 stars if possible.

My sister and I like getting our hair done together. We decided to try Mint because we enjoy Aveda salons. This was NOT the typical Aveda experience. The two stylists we had were lovely, however, neither seemed to understand what we wanted. My sister’s hair looked great in the front but the back was literally a joke. We laughed about it so much because it didn’t go with the front. Afraid it would only get worse, we left and had her hair redone. Mine was so short that there was no helping it and I had to wait for it to grow out before I could get it fixed.

I really appreciated my experience at Mint. Really outstanding service. My stylist took the time to conduct a thorough and educational consultation before beginning my partial highlight. She moved through my hair with deft expertise and was the first stylist of my life (and I’ve been having this done for 16 years!) to take my hair not only as blonde as I wanted but in the way I wanted. That really meant a lot. Because I had been bleaching the life out of my hair on my own for awhile, the low-​lights did stick more darkly than I think she anticipated. She was quick to notice this, address it, and the salon was overly happy to remedy it for me. I thought about it for a couple days and decide to just let it fade on its own, which it mostly has. I am really thankful for Mint and look forward to my next appointment!

Love this place! Shelby is the best & I love the fact that it’s locally owned! I’ve never had a reason to complain about anything. The product selection is great, the appointments are easy & I got text reminders — there was even room for my kids to sit for a little bit & the staff were great with them when they got fidgety. (Next time they can stay somewhere else though). The owner, Erin is a great person to get to know as well. She’s easy to talk to and an all around great person.

I’ve been an avid Aveda fan for the past 9 years and have exclusively used Aveda color for the past 7 years. Living in Seattle I’ve experienced many Aveda salons and stylists and after venturing to the east side I was concerned I might never find another great Aveda salon — but I was wrong! Mint salon in Issaquah is absolutely fantastic and the best salon on the east side, hands down! I’m so happy I have a great salon on my side of town that is easy to get to and park. The prices are very reasonable and the service is outstanding. If you’re looking to make a change in salons, stylists, cities — I recommend you try Mint, you won’t be disappointed!

This salon has a great atmosphere and everyone is friendly. I have been buying Aveda products for years and love how healthy my hair feels. My color looks amazing. I can never book ahead so I just call and they are very accommodating. I have seen just about every stylists there and everyone has been great.

I visited the salon for the first time in March, and was impressed with my cut and color from Veronica. The entire staff seemed to get along well, and it was a happy environment. After learning that Veronica was not long with Mint, I emailed the salon to inquire about her because it was time for a visit. I did not receive any response. What a missed opportunity as i was a customer in need of a new stylist. They could have responded with a confirmation that Veronica had left, but offered me the name of a great replacement for her and they would have had my business. Too bad for Mint. Now i see through these reviews that they have had alot of turn over in stylist staff. Big red flag. After some internet research, i found Veronica at another salon just in the neighborhood. Am thrilled with finding her and my new cut/​color!

A year ago this salon would have received 4 or 5 stars from me. I loved my stylist (s), I liked the small salon feeling, loved having an Aveda salon in my home town and never really had any issues. However, over the course of the past year, they have lost so many stylists that you have to begin to question what is going on. Their prices have increased, their main stylists have all left (fortunately I found two of them at L15 just down the street!) They book their appointments too close together and I felt rushed. I won’t be going back. :(

Really enjoyed getting my hair done here by Jeremy. He did a great job and was quick. Great price and look forward to coming back!

Whenever I move to a new place I beeline to an Aveda salon for my hair, because I have consistently had good luck with Aveda-​trained hair stylists. My hair is very straight and fine, so one wrong cut is a sad thing.
I walked in to Mint Salon to see if they could do a neck trim, my hair is currently short and I am trying to grow it out so I did not need to get (or pay for!) a full cut. Immediately the gentlemen working the desk figured out for me that they would do that at a very reasonable price, and he got me an appointment set up for that afternoon. They didn’t have to do that for someone who is not a regular customer so I thought that was above and beyond.
I went back for my appointment and Veronica was very nice, and even more thorough than my wonderful stylist that I left behind in California. She tried something a little different than what I am used to in the back, but left the hairline where it was to grow out as I requested. Overall I was very happy with my easy, friendly and quick experience — I will be back for more neck trims until I have more hair to cut!

I have finally found my «forever salon». I’m SUPER picky about how my hair is done, which is unfortunate because I know zilch about hair. I just know I either like it or I don’t. I’ve stuck to Aveda salons because I feel like they are the best place for color and service. Don’t get me wrong, there have been a few Aveda stylists who have absolutely rubbed me and my hair the wrong way, but overall, I trust the Aveda brand. And now, I’ve found my Aveda salon, and my stylist: Shelby. Love her! I met her when another Aveda stylist at a nearby location gave me the chop from hell. I showed up and Shelby was super helpful and while she couldn’t undo the damage caused to my side bangs, she showed me a great way to work with it and I’ve been seeing her ever since. Recently I decided to do some serious fringe and I felt so comfortable in her hands. She really knows what she’s doing and I’m so happy I’ve found her and this salon. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER.
I’ve used the other stylists there as well (Holly and Jeremy) who are also very good, but I pick favorites. Go, give them a try.

I may be a low maintenance person but I am very particular about my hair. It has to be cut a certain way so I don’t have to spend too much time staring at the mirror every day. On top these requirements I despise going to hair salons. So much so, I simply take the scissors and chop my hair off if I have to.
I tried many salons all over Seattle. Some stylists were great but the salon wasn’t. Some salons were wonderful but stylists weren’t really listening.
After reading a few reviews I decided to give a shot to Mint Salon. As soon as I sat down, I told Jeremy everything. I listed the reasons why I hate going to hair salons and explained how I want my hair done. I usually get a little attitude when I give this speech at the salons but Jeremy was such a professional. While he calmed me down with actually engaging conversation, he explained what he is going to do right before his every move.
After the first time he cut and dyed my hair, I felt that for the first time a stylist listened to me. A few appointments later I was ready to leave my hair to his capable hands for a full dye and cut.
I still have a great deal of trouble of getting myself to the hair salon, but once I sit on Jeremy’s chair I know he is going to fix my chopped and partially dyed hair with great care.
You will ask, you loved the stylist, what about the salon? Oh yes, I got lucky on that one too. Mint salon is very peaceful and the people are genuinely friendly.
At the age of 35, finally I am one of those women who have a salon to call their own.

I have been here several times to buy my Aveda products. I go here because I would rather support a local store then go to a chain to get the same products I could get here. I have always had very helpful service, and the people who work there are always very nice. I enjoy buying my products here.
My only complaints — and this looses a whole star in my book — is that their hours are not posted. I honestly can not believe they are not posted, it seems like such a standard thing that every store has. On multiple occasions I have gone to their store, to find out they are closed, and not know when to return. In one case I left just to find out later that they opened 15 minutes later. In addition, their hours are not posted on their website — or if they are — you are unable to access them on your iPhone because of Java. I had to go to Unilocal’s website to get their hours. I would really like it if they made their hours more available for people who wish to visit their store. I had to visit 3 days in a row just to get there when they were actually open.

Just discovered this hidden gem in downtown Issaquah and am so happy about the results. The standard Aveda treatment is quite special (scalp massage plus the best shampoo experience ever) and Shelby was fabulous. She spent time getting to know me, how I style my hair and what its issues are and I left with a sassy new do that I just love.
I’ve been looking for a go-​to salon since moving here several years ago and may have just found it at Mint!

Since I moved to Seattle 2 ½ years ago from Southern California I have been on an unlucky quest to find someone who knows how to cut hair.
The search ended last Saturday night when I met Pang at the Mint Salon. My hair had finally grown out from its last catastrophe and I was going back to a bob.
I always get nervous when stylists use a lot of product and take all this time styling my hair… you never really know what it looks like until you get home, wash it and give it a try yourself.
The only thing Pang used in my hair was a shine serum, then she blow dried it and it was done. No gel, mousse, hairspray, no fancy styling… and it looked fantastic! And even being out all night in the wind and rain… it still looked good!
Will definitely be back to see Pang!
