In full disclosure, I help the studio with some marketing for their new martial arts inspired workout SCULPT by Oom Yung Doe. My son takes classes 3x a week; he has a lot more enthusiasm for ALL sports and a huge drive to focus and work hard to be able to do «cool stuff.» I believe that is a direct result of his training. Back in October I finally started taking the Adult classes, too. At first my motivation was to meditate and just generally be more active. While initially frustrated with my lack of flexibility and strength, the progress has been quick! Since starting in October, I have lost 11lbs, which has been a nice surprise! The neat thing about Oom Yung Doe is it is a lot more then it seems from the outside. Its not just kids classes, tai chi, self-defense or strength training. For me, it has become a daily focus on well-being and community with some awesome individuals.
