I’ll not soon forget my experience at this Starbucks earlier a few months ago. I was in dire need of a morning coffee and I left home early to come here(this site is close to my work office in Issaquah). I had taken note of this lovely café interior whenever I’ve shopped in the attached Safeway store, and I thought often how well designed and inviting and spacious this Starbucks was. It has a welcoming, modern aesthetic to it which I find very appealing: open spaced, with a lot of natural light from the window walls. Just lovely. When I arrived, it was a bit after 7am and I had over 15 minutes to kill(my office is about 3 minutes away). Ample time to order and get a tall non-fat latte, right? One would think so, anyhow. There were 5 people in line ahead of me, waiting to place their orders, and as I stood there, the line behind me grew and grew. The hold up occurred because of one customer who was placing a large and complicated order. Furthermore, the counter staff, who obviously knew this lady(she must have been a regular, as they knew her by name) casually chatted with her about her family and her work. Meanwhile, the line was growing and after about 10 minutes, 2 people behind me just left in exasperation. I waited another 5 minutes and then I, too, left, no closer to placing my order than I was 15 minutes earlier. There was a lot of rumbling in the line behind me. The lady customer and staff were still figuring out payment for her large order. The kicker was, now it was too late for me to go anywhere else to get my morning coffee. I was fit to be tied! Perhaps I simply visited this Starbucks on an off-day, but that morning, lots of us waiting customers were ticked off by the lack of efficiency here by counter staff. I haven’t returned here since(despite the fact that I often shop at the attached Starbucks). Perhaps one day I’ll try it again; if so, I will write an update here.

S L O W E S T STARBUCKSEVER. I always thought«hmm some people get really impatient over coffee» but as a customer, oh my gosh! I wanted to reload just 12 dollars because I was on a budget, but nope she loads 20. That’s not even bad! There were two people and as the drinks I ordered were lined up, the other barista, or maybe not so barista, was CLEANING. LIKEHELLO! Do you wanna clean or make coffee. I don’t know if I was being impatient or reasonable but it took 20 minutes to get 4 tall frappucinos. And no, there was no other drinks in front of the ones I ordered. I’m pretty disappointed. Didn’t even want the frappucinos anymore.

I like standing and waiting watching all the people get their drinks that ordered AFTER me!!!

STARBUCKS! What can I say? It’s starBUCKS, with that being said, all Starbucks are pretty pricey– but it’s coffee right? This place is very cozy, easy to meet people and even with little room, it’s still spacious with lots of seating arrangements. The only thing you can complain about is that they were out of sausage and cheese breakfast sandwiches! WHAT?!

This is my new favorite go-to Starbucks store. Even though it’s always packed, I love how much room it has and the fact that it has the store set up for multiple occasions. Studying, meeting with friends, writing a book… it almost feels like every piece of furniture in there was designed with a purpose. My drinks here are always consistently good — and I am in LOVE with the new Starbucks Evenings program. Their truffle mac and cheese is insanely good — I had no idea that they could make hot food like that. That, and they have a selection of wines that you can order after 4 pm. What doesn’t this place have?

The girls working here are unfriendly and unpersonal. They forgot one of my drinks, and when I asked and they made it, forgot the syrup. 20 minutes to get 2 drinks and no one else in line! No apologies and no coupon? Won’t ever go back to this branch.

I used to love this starbucks because it’s large and spacious. There’s lots of room for people that want to work on their computers but get out of the house. Problem is that for the last year or so, the wireless Internet access has been near unusable. It wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve been losing business because of this. It’s a pretty easy thing to fix. I hope they do, but until then I’ll look for another coffee shop.

I understand if the cashier gets my drink wrong, yet when the barista gave me my drink(with the winged out eyeliner) I mentioned that I ordered another drink. She seemed irritated that the order was wrong. After she made my drink, she left out an item, but at that point, I just wanted to leave. A poor start to my day and a poor experience. I’ll never go there again.

I know it’s just one of a jazillion Starbucks, but this has been by favorite one so far. Of course it has all of your fave Starbucks goodies and usual friendly service, but the size of the store and beautiful glass ceiling really made me love it. It’s bigger and has more seating than many, and although it’s connected of the Safeway there, it has it’s own entrances so you don’t have to go in the supermarket. The staff here was actually quicker and even friendlier than other Starbucks which is awesome. Kudos guys!

I would love to support the Ma’s and Pa’s but the problem is they are not consistent. Nothing worse then a bad coffee in the morning. I see the little shops burn the milk or a bitter taste of the espresso. Starbucks knows coffee. Tip of burning milk: it’s a low rumbling sound(under the steamer) while the barista is working the cash register. Bitter espresso can be identified by white spots on top. That means its been sitting too long.

The best starbucks I’ve been. Period. Why best? Spacious — many, many tables(of all kinds! the typical round coffee table, large study tables, bar tables…). Happy hour — if coffee doesn’t satisfy your needs, then you can go for a glass of wine, some tapas, desserts… Welcoming staff. Lots of parking spots! — This place surrounded by local shops, markets and restaurants. You know what this means… Lots of parking spots! Opens at 5AM on weekdays — I am sold.

Coffe and Hot chocolate by day — Wine and Beer by night ! Now that’s a coffee shop ;) Great Lounge feel, nice fireplace for the winters, great lil outdoor area for summer, cool A/C inside. All around great.

This is probably the biggest Starbucks I’ve been to. It makes the original one look like a shrimp. It does get crowded in the AM, but they are very efficient taking orders and completing. This location also serves WINE on the weekends. They occasionally have live musicians from 6 – 8 during the week. I’m really impressed with this particular Issaquah Starbucks, I’ll make it back here when I’m in the area again, fo sho’

In General i loath Starbucks. However, i did add a star because of the building and environment it fosters. it is large with plenty of seating for work or study. Starbucks frappicinos and mochas are chalky tasting. however i do visit them in the winter to enjoy an eggnog latte with a sprinkle of nutmeg on sunday mornings. Good to know Starbucks did something right… unlike their ginger lattes, blah! My rating system: Things To Die For = 5 stars Things To Die From = 1 star
