Craig Frames

I have been framing custom prints by some underground artists for a while, and as far as quality, customer support and everything else, I don’t think anyone can go wrong with this company. The frames I’ve ordered are anywhere between 0.5″ to 20″, of very different looks and colors, the wood seems to be different too but the frames are so well mounted, there is no way to damage them not even with drilling the screws it for the string loops. I recommend Craig’s frames to anybody, whether you buy it through Amazon, through eBay or on their website, you will get the best quality products and the greatest customer service.

This company is seriously the best in customer service, I just had to come and write a review so that others knew who they were getting. We ordered a matte on Amazon (the wrong size) once it got to my house I wrote on Amazon and filed a claim, that it was wrong. The company was prompt in responding and shipping a new one (wrong size again, my fault for not describing better what I was looking for… and not knowing how to get the measurement that they need). So again, filed another claim…
Then I got a call, he said with things like this it is better to just call and make sure you know what to do to get the measurements that we need, walked me through it and explained some other stuff to me in a very polite and professional manner and then ordered me the correct mat!!! I asked about shipping back the original two wrong ones, he said do not worry about it! Then I asked about paying for the right one, he said don’t worry about it!
All he said was, i am just glad that you are getting the product that you need. Simply the best! Thank you for that.

I bought three frames online through Craig Frames’ web site, and I’m very happy with them. They had a great selection of frame styles and sizes, and my order shipped quickly, plus shipping wasn’t too expensive. The frames were packed professionally and securely, and everything arrived intact. The fronts are acrylic, but the framed images look great and I’m less worried about breakage this way. You have to install the hanging hardware yourself, but the parts are all included. I will definitely order from Craig again next time I need frames!

I’m so impressed with this company. I had an odd-​sized larger print I wanted to frame for a gift. After trying to figure it out myself, I called in and talked to the kindest man. He walked me through the options. He also happened to be the one cutting the mat and preparing the frame, so all of his recommendations were knowledgeable and helpful. He also has a gift for color and mat options. I appreciated that he helped me understand the framing terminology — I could tell he was really listening to what I was saying and hoped for in an outcome. I had hoped to get the 10% discount advertised on the website, since I had tried to place the order there but couldn’t. He said «oh, of course you can have the discount — we wouldn’t do that to you. All the prices are the same.» He even made sure I knew to take off both layers of protective film from the acrylic before mounting the print in the frame. (I opted for acrylic because this is a larger-​sized print, but he even offered that if I really wanted glass in the end, there is always the museum-​quality glass I could buy from them or I could get regular window glass from the hardware store for probably $ 10.)
So my mat and frame were prepared within 24 hours, and the frame came three days ahead of schedule — during the 10 days before Christmas. It is gorgeous. Everything was so professionally wrapped and secured, both inside the box and out. Highest quality frame and mat — perfectly cut to the dimensions I asked for. The frame is subtle but has character and the mat and frame together do the print justice without overpowering it. This gift will be very meaningful for many years — I can’t thank you enough.
Frames and mat colors are represented well on the web site — just be sure to look at measurements for frame sizes to know how wide they are. It’s true that it’s a cardboard backing and a DIY hanging kit (included in the price of the frame and attached as a kit to the cardboard on back), but I don’t mind assembling, especially because the price is so competitive. Even with expedited shipping, this was ¹⁄₃ the price of the local framing store’s specials! If you have museum-​quality work, you might call in and ask about upgrades (or go local), but I will take all of my framing needs here from now on — and refer many people as well. Craig Frames is absolutely wonderful. I had an poster that was an uncommon dimension and found it online at Amazon. Although I’m the type of person that would rather see the quality of the frame in person, I put my faith in all the wonderful Amazon reviews. When I received the order, it was packaged so professionally and well presented. The quality of the frame was perfect. Although they didn’t include accessories for hanging the poster and the backing was plain cardboard, I didn’t need it anyway. The acrylic cover in lieu of the glass was great in my case, because it’s just as clear and much lighter to transport as I had to carry the poster back and forth to various places.
Even more impressive is their customer service. The acrylic cover of the frame was scuffed and I needed a replacement. I sent them an email and they were so responsive and immediately sent me a replacement without any issues. I truly appreciated that and Craig Frames has restored my faith in online business customer service. Thank you!

We’ve ordered quite a few frames from Craig Frames and we’ve generally been pleased with the quality and service.
The biggest positive in dealing with this company is that they have an amazing selection of frames with tons of sizes (including odd sizes) and a host of styles. They also have a cheap shipping policy ($ 8.50 per order) and occasionally will offer a free shipping promotion. This is huge because an order with a few frames can be very heavy and easily cost quite a bit to ship.
On the downside, they tend to cut corners on accessories. For example, they will use plastic rather than glass in the front, and cheap cardboard for the backing. Additionally, they almost never include a wire or hooks to mount their frames.
In the end though, everything we’ve purchased looks pretty good on the wall. So it’s safe to say that we’ll be back for some more.
