I’ve lived in Ithaca for 5+ years and I regret all those years I didn’t get my haircut at this place. I’ve tried some of those fancier Ithaca salons and even went to NYC to get my haircut. After all those years of struggle, I finally found a place where I can walk in and not having to worry about how my hair will turn out to be. She’s a professional, highly skilled, and a very fun person. Plus, she can really handle thick Asian hair if you are wondering.

I don’t go anywhere else for haircut since I found this place. It has used clothes on the store front and the hair salon is at the back. Also there’s another barber shop right next door. Make sure you go to the right place.

The stylist is very experienced and with a very nice attitude. She pays attention to your personal requests for the haircut and gives you her professional opinions upon that. It is quite expensive though, costs me $ 65, but it is worth it if you want some changes on your hair style and don’t want to take too much risks of messing it up.

By far the best place to get a stylish men’s haircut in Ithaca. It might be a little pricey, but its well worth the money.

The haircut was ok. I didn’t like the way she pushed me into $ 65 haircut which is supposedly more stylish than a regular haircut. My hair is a medium length. She charged me $ 45.

If you care about how your hair looks, come here. She takes care with each cut and makes sure that she does a great job with your hair. I didn’t know where to go to get a great hair cut because as an Asian, I have a specific texture to my hair that is difficult for generic places to cut correctly. Gia’s Elite Style takes great care of you and makes sure that you don’t leave unsatisfied with your hair cut. Each cut is $ 25-$ 35 and its well worth it. Best hair stylist in Ithaca. Will be back soon!

wow, a year later and i finally find a decent hair stylist in Ithaca! I had choppy bangs and boring long hair when I walked in. I left with textured(thicker feeling!) layers and I love what she did to my bangs(they’re now soft, side swept bangs). She spent more than 30 mins on my hair and truly is a perfectionist. In addition, she’s honest and opinionated — which is great for people like me who never know what they want. it’s so refreshing to finally find a stylist i can trust with my hair!(believe it or not, with my last ithacan stylist, i repeatedly had to retrim my own hair when i got home because she’d miss a few strands!)

Let me get right to the point: I am Korean. Like most Asians, my hair is very difficult to cut — it is coarse, it grows in thickly, and you can see any mistakes in cutting it from about ten feet away. I have been living in and out of Ithaca since 2002, and it wasn’t until I went to Gia’s Elite Style that I finally found someone in Ithaca who could cut my hair properly. The stylist at Gia’s does an amazing job from start to finish. She takes the time to study your face and to listen to you explain what you want to do with your hair. Along the way, she gives helpful suggestions for the cut. Once she starts cutting, she takes her time to do everything just right; I never feel like she’s going ahead of what I want. My cut usually takes about 30 minutes, and she uses every minute of it to the max. And, remarkably, she’s able to hold a fun and genuine conversation the whole time! She really understands hair, and she takes your haircut personally. All of this for just around $ 30 – 35! I’ll be sticking with Gia’s Elite Style for the rest of my time here in Ithaca.
