Exquisite and affordable — I came across this while visiting Ithaca from NYC and was astounded by the selection and quality. I know a bit about vintage jewelry and can definitely say she has high end pieces that would cost 3X as much in NYC. Even the lower cost costume jewelry is chosen with care. I bought one beautiful piece and am contemplating a trip up from NYC just to go again.

A really fun store to browse in. Tons of unusual pieces of jewelry from lots of eras at very affordable prices. The owner is super helpful, with out making you feel like you have to buy something.

Sheldon Hill is an amazing store. Stacey (owner) has a great selection of costume and fine jewelry going back to the early 1900s. If you are a fan of vintage jewelry, but don’t have a lot of money, this is a great place to start your collection.
The selection has something for everyone; I found pieces ranging from $ 15 up to $ 500. The quality of everything in the store was spectacular, and there was a great variety in style. The store itself has a nice layout for browsing, and has a great ambiance, with photos of old celebrities on the walls and Glenn Miller playing on the stereo. Stacey is more than willing to pull pieces out of the case for you to try on, without making you feel pressured to purchase anything. She also offers suggestions of pieces in the store that will work together, so that you can get the most wear out of your selections. I’m so sad that the store is far away from DC; all they need now is a website, so that I may continue my shopping!
