I saw Stacy regularly for a few months about a year ago. It was my first experience with Eastern medicine of any kind, and in only a few weeks I was feeling much better than I had in the few years I’d been suffering from a chronic health problem. She asks thoughtful questions, listens well, and is very thorough. Be warned that herbal medicine isn’t an exact science with the one-size-fits-all prescriptions most of us are used to. Because of that, you may end up buying bottles of herbs you don’t finish, which can get to be a little expensive. As an acupuncturist, she’s gentle, careful, and very sanitary, and I always left sessions feeling refreshed. My schedule got really busy, and since I was feeling better, I decided to stop going on a regular basis for a few months. When I went back, something was different. I can’t say what exactly, but she seemed a little less focused, and the treatments weren’t making me feel as good as they had. For all I know, it may have just been the mindset that I was in then compared to how I’d felt in the fall. It’s hard to say. One thing that bothered me is that in the time I’d been away she’d raised her prices without telling me. I completely understand in today’s tough times why she had to, but I would’ve liked to have known that ahead of time. She usually saw me weekly, so an extra $ 5 per session added up to $ 20 a month. Stacy has a 24-hour cancellation policy. Again, that’s reasonable, but she never told me that. One time I had to cancel an appointment, so I called first thing in the morning to tell her I couldn’t come in for my session late that afternoon and she still charged me for it. I haven’t been back. My first few months of seeing her were very much a five-star experience, but I had to deduct a few stars because of some of her business practices. It would be helpful to her patients if she had a website with some of this information. That would help avoid any miscommunication.

Stacy is simply amazing. She listens to your concerns and is highly attuned to what is going on with your body. Her space is friendly and peaceful and her touch is gentle and highly skilled. She knows her homeopathic herbs as well.

I was incredibly skeptical about acupuncture. Despite having a friend or two who are practitioners it took years for me to finally seek one out on my own — and only out of desperation. What took me so long? I started going to Stacy in January of 2008 and have yet to be disappointed. She is a careful listener, thoughtful, and always treats me like I’m an intelligent partner in my own health care.
