I ordered delivery tonight from tea time, I got the chicken hibachi and milk green tea and it was all fantastic! The only complaint that I have is I hate the fact that they have a delivery fee on top of a minimum order amount. But over all it was very tasty and I didn’t feel like grease was oozing from my skin after.

Froyo, bubble tea, and hibachi seem like a strange food combination but I would say that this place offers cheap yet decent Chinese food. But don’t let the fancy word hibachi fool you, it really just tastes like Sarku Japanese mall food. The bubble tea isn’t too bad. In fact it is probably one of the cheapest places to get bubble tea in collegetown.

It’s just okay. Nothing too special, even though it’s a pretty good value. The chicken hibachi is good but not exactly bursting with flavor. And the bubble tea is alright, but it doesn’t really compare to Kung Fu or Old Teahouse. The constant flies around my food don’t help. I’ve had better food for the same price, but it’s not a bad place for lunch in Collegetown.

My favorite quick dinner spot! The chicken hibachi is delicious and is a great deal, I like adding fried rice for the extra 50¢. Plus it comes with free yum yum sauce which is SO good.

My family and I were in the area, and we decided to come here for froyo after dinner. Not only were most of the machines out of the mixes, there were fruit flies everywhere so I questioned the cleanliness of the establishment. Also, all of the toppings were super stale. Definitely won’t be back again

Great place for a quick lunch. Hibachi is top notch for the price. Downside is steak comes from questionable source. Squid and shrimp are much better alternatives

This review was for the hibachi, which was just mediocre. Don’t get the gyoza appetizer: it’s quite obviously frozen and I believe from Wegman’s. The chicken was really tender, but it didn’t have the«hibachi» savory taste — it was instead a sweet teriyaki chicken taste, which was fine but not authentically hibachi. The fried rice was terrible. It’s only 50 cents more but it has zero flavor and might as well be white rice. No flavor whatsoever. And the vegetables that I received were incredibly skimpy: two pieces of broccoli and a piece of onion and zucchini. All in all, it was decent-tasting but nothing to write home about.

Have you been craving the Japanese food you get from your local mall’s food court back home? Well Teatime is similar, but slightly better. PROS: The chicken hibachi was actually quite tasty. When it came off the grill and was placed in front of me, I was a bit terrified because the chicken looked like it was low quality, the kind you get in a mall’s food court(think yoshinoya). However, looks were deceiving because the chicken, despite its appearance, had great texture(tender without any gristle) and was very flavorful(the teriyaki sauce was perfectly sweet). The vegetables were also cooked well, the broccoli and cabbage were not too mushy and the onions were crisp and sweet. In my jasmine green bubble tea, the jasmine flavor was nicely fragrant and the tapioca was prepared properly with that perfect chewy texture which is often missing from bubble teashops. CONS: The ratio of rice to vegetables is a bit overwhelming in the hibachi entrees. I think they provide too much rice and not enough vegetables. I think they should have a vegetables without tofu item as well because their vegetarian options are very limited. The bubble tea, despite wonderful tapioca and jasmine flavor, was in my opinion way too sweet. Far sweeter than the tea found at «Kung Fu» down the block.

We came here for bubble tea and frozen yogurt this weekend. The bubble tea was alright(2 – 2.5 stars) ~ the tapioca pearls were really mushy. The frozen yogurt wasn’t anything special and probably is about average or lower average end of the spectrum in comparison tot he places that I have been too. I haven”t had any of their regular food so I cannot comment on that. Overall, I would recommend trying other places around the area for frozen yogurt and bubble tea. Disclaimer: my friend actually thought the bubble tea here was better than the tea-house that we also went to.
