Need an orchid during the winter months? Mr. Liu hooked me up with just the thing I needed, a lovely blooming mini orchid for just $ 10. I don’t know much about orchids, but the owner was very nice and helped me pick out the perfect one to much of the adulation of the recipient of my floral gift. His English can be a bit challenging to understand, but he’s a very friendly and patient individual. The showroom was clean and filled with these lovely plants and if I am in town again and need another orchid, this will be my first stop.

I’ve bought orchids here for years, and they are beautiful, well-​grown, healthy plants, still thriving and flowering for me. The prices are outstanding, too. Sphag moss is an excellent potting medium for many orchids. And Paph and Phrag orchids require very similar culture. Really I coudn’t be happier with the plants I’ve purchased here.

I stopped in this weekend looking for new plants. Their orchids are potted in sphagnum moss, which tends to promote root rot. When I tried to chat up a staff member, he tried to convince me that paphiopedilum and phragmipedium orchids are the same thing. That’d be like your ice cream scooper saying chocolate and strawberry are the same. I left with no plants. I’ll stick to people who know their stuff.
