My arepa was gigantic, nice people, cozy atmosphere, old salsa playing in the background. Really legit areparia

Best arepas I’ve ever had! I’ve tried every kind they have(chicken, pork, beef, cheese, tuna and corn) and have NEVER been disappointed! I’m a very picky eater and knowing I can come to a place like this one and enjoy everything on their menu is a huge deal for me! They also sell a type of sweet cheese bread(pan de bono) which is amaaazing! Fresh out of the oven! The guy that works there was very nice and polite, and although I kept changing my mind(couldn’t choose between beef or tuna), he made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal and kept helping me with a kind smile on his face. That kind of attitude makes me want to come back and support their business. You can tell everything is home made and with the best ingredients; like the enchiladas for example, and everything comes out delicious! I’m gonna be a regular!

Really good Colombian style arepas! The owner is really friendly and takes a lot of pride in his food. It’s a bit expensive for the area, but the everything arepa is filling and delicious! It’s also massive, they really don’t skimp on the portion sizes here! I will come back to try the hot chocolate since it got so many good reviews.

I have been coming here for 3 year and I have to say the food just tasted better and better. I have tried a little bit of everything and the customer service is the best in this neighborhood. They have my business permanently.

So I called to place an order for delivery and they had just opened the kitchen so I said it was fine and hung up. Half an hour later the guy who works there calls me and asks for my address and so I got to place my order! It was so nice of him to actually call me back so I can order. Anyways besides that the arepas are AMAZING!!! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone

I haven’t been to an areparia so authentic in a while. This place is defiantly official.

This is Columbian version of the Arepas. I had the sweet corn arepas with melted mozzarella. delicious! I don’t know if I would go back but I’m glad I tried it.

The price is good considering everything it has in it, the arepas are awsome and savory, the crunch in the arepa mixta is the best…

This place made me feel like I was in Colombia. The arepas were amazing. The owner was so welcoming and friendly. Will stop by anytime when craving Colombian arepas. The place was small but comfortable. My bf and I really enjoyed this place.

Sacrilege to go to Jackson Heights and not eat Indian food — but this place is worth it — Arepas, empanadas, hot chocolate, cheese bread to go with the amazing homemade Salsa! You also have the charming enthusiastic owner who cooks everything himself and can’t wait to show off and make you taste all of the organic all natural ingredients.

Not bad at all. I ordered the arepa with everything, but didn’t care for the tuna layer. On a different occasions, we’ve had the sweet corn arepa, cheese, pan de queso, hot chocolate(organic) and empanadas. These were some of the best empanadas we’ve ever had. And we have had many. Now, I have to add that I am biased bc I will always prefer the baked over fried option in any meal. Either way, get the hot choco, pan de queso, and empanadas. You’ll be walking home wishing you had bought 2.

Went here on a lunch break. Ordered the arepa mixta. So many things wrong with this arepa but the biggest thing was the price. The guy charged me $ 12 something for the arepa with a can of Manzana postobon. Asked him the menu on the wall and the take out menus say the arepa mixta is $ 8.75? He said, oh that’s the old price. So the overpriced, on the small side, arepa tasted pretty crappy. Nothing out of this world that would ever make me come back.

The best & closest Arepas I’ve ever tried to Colombia’s. If you miss Colombia COMEHERE. It’s a tiny place but comfy and the guy makes you feel at home. He gave us a try of every little thing he had to sell. From Manjar Blanco«dulce de leche» to Obleas which is a traditional pastry back home. I enjoyed this place so much & the best part was that my GF is Algerian and got to try a little of my Country’s food. She loved it.

Great family friendly — snack dining, but big on quality and quantity of food. Imagine fat juicy stuffed arepas and ice cold drinks or fruit salad covered with sweet cream. Now stop imagining and come and get it! Lol.

My arepa had a hair in it, a long curly one. I informed the cashier and he tried to convince me that it was a string from the corn husk. I can tell the difference between a hair and a corn husk string! He took my arepa and pulled the hair out with his fingers and kept insisting it was still ok to eat. He insisted I continue to eat it since he had taken the ‘corn string’ out with his grimy fingers. They finally cooked me a new one, after I had to ask a few more times for one. Not only that the arepa was $ 10, not worth the price. I won’t be returning

When I moved to the neighborhood, I was walking and suddenly I discovered Arepas Pues Mixtas. I decided to go in and try the arepas. The man working there is so nice and we were talking in Spanish about our countries and how they cook everything from organic ingredients. I tried the arepa and the empanadas, they were delicious! Now, it has become in a reference place for me and I have to give the the 5 stars. I’ll come back again soon!

1st time in was 3 years ago for a quick bite and have been hooked since. You dont find these joints often i seriously came from the bronx to queens to meet with friends and eat these arepas. Although i tried several from food vendors none compare to these. These arepas are just amazoing. Juicy crunchy dry hot saucy heaven. They are priced around 8 $ and i think the price is not a problem considering the size and how freshly made it is made. If you want quality it has a price, and homemade food isnt cheap, theres more labor. Back to this venue is cozy cute authentic and just delicious come in for a nice experience and the staff as stated are just warming and remarkably generous with customer service. Plus the young man who cooks/cashier is cuteee lol that colombian accents is adorable. Now that I live in queens i come here often. Also try the empanadas man are they good the beef one especialy!

Not the best arepas I’ve had but definitely not bad for quick food to go. They deliver if you order 3 or more items.

Based on Unilocal I chose this for a quick late night Friday dinner. The gentleman there was very nice and I ordered the works so I could try everything. I wasn’t a fan of the beef or chicharron or corn parts, although that was just my personal taste, my bf loved it and said it was his favorite and he’s latino. Another Unilocaler said they did not like the tuna, but I thought the shrimp ceviche, tuna and chicken was awesome. I posted the calorie count and it is not only tasty but low calorie! I’m sold and the food will hit you like a brick, the portions are large. I love it, can’t wait to go back and order the seafood/chicken version. My bf said the everything one was too much, but I thought it was a great way to figure out what you like and what to get next time. I mean it is Mixtas!
