To the female employee who recommended me dragon age inquisiton, you rock!!! The best way to decide a game? Ask the employees! Honestly, when i ask, other gamestop employees would say«its good». But i asked them on choosing between dragon age and witcher 3. She told me choose dragon age shes almost platinum on trophies with it. She told me she assures its great. I was hesistant. But 7 days later. I greatly enjoyed it. Helpful staff. Happy gamer.

The staff here were pretty friendly to me. The dude called me to let me know my reservation was available, and recognized me when I asked for the game at the counter. The chick was also engaging, and actually responded to my conversational manner. Many salespeople in the city will pretend like you didn’t say anything! The dude did lecture a customer about taking too long to return an item. It wasn’t a particularly sympathetic approach. And yet, the chick reassured a different customer that she could return a game a bit after their stated return policy, which was a nice commonsense gesture. They had Etrian Mystery Dungeon, which is relatively hard to find, so that’s cool.

Do yourself a favor and take the train to the GS at the mall, especially if you’re a female gamer. The service is quicker, the staff is nicer and you can tell they care about their customers. They could look me in the face, for starters. I shopped there 3 times and every time, the staff stared at me as if I’d come down from Jupiter or some faraway galaxy. I was even treated to sexism, every person’s dream when they’re shopping and minding their own business. When I went to pay a game, I pulled out my pro membership card and offered it. The clerk asked, «so, who’s the gamer?» in a way that implied that I obviously couldn’t be. To which I replied, «me, I’m the gamer.» He immediately backtracked, but didn’t bother to apologize. It’s nice to know this staff doesn’t know how to be polite and respectful to customers. The last straw was when I went to do a trade-in and they didn’t want to accept my PR driver’s license… I’ve shopped at several GS over the tristate area and none of them had any problem with my license. It’s a valid ID. But the clerk gave me some excuse that they were really strict with policies and said, «maybe those GS that you went to weren’t doing their jobs.» About a week later, I went to the GS at the mall to do the trade in with the same ID… I DIDIT. So really, skip this one and go to another, because I’m almost sure the staff here doesn’t want a chunk of the gamer population to invest on their products.

Nobody has the Simpsons game for PS3. Yes, it’s old game, I know. I’ve been to several game stops and not a single one has it preowned. Due to busy work schedule over the years, I have not played any brand new games. All of the old games that turned into«Game of the Year» edition or Greatest Hits, all of those games seem brand spankin new to me. I have a lot of catching up to do. PS4 isn’t even on my mind. I was hoping to find a bundle version of the trilogy of Batman games but that’s not out yet. Upon entering this GameStop, they issue a audio warning about shoplifting and other polices whenever the door opens. It’s pretty annoying. Great part about this GameStop, the parking lot is HUGE and Cannelle Patisserie is in the same lot!

I have been going here for around 12 or 13 years since the store opened. It has had its HUGE ups and HUGE downs but I can say it is pretty stable right now. The line takes forever usually because games are not in the cases and have to be repackaged before being sold. Sometimes they do need more people working to help with the line but it is understandable. Other than this Gamestop there is no other stores around except for 2 mom and pop shops. So if you want a retail chain that can serve you up a warranty for your consoles then gamestop is the way to go.

Fine. if nobody will do it I will. This place is soooo effing sloooooow. The line is always a mile long even when it’s not a day that a notable game comes out. There are always about 3 people by the register but only one who actually takes customers. And the others are magically«doing things» …invisible things because I don’t see you doing sh*t. I can’t even say that they are rude because for the most part they are always friendly and are excited about certain games(although one guy had the audacity to tell me why am I buying THAT game when THIS game is so much better). They will always give you their opinion about a game and most of them give you their honest opinion and don’t just try and push a game on you. It’s not their fault, but the layout makes it hard to look at certain games without interfering with the line. They also have a very poor selection of computer games available(which is the case for many of the game stops) so if you are into the Sims and things like that you will probably be best suited at another type of store. It’s also probably best to trade in your games before buying new ones because at approximately $ 60 a game these days, it’s starting to become a rich dudes pasttime.
