I actually had a mixed experience with them, but at least part of that was due to expectation mismatch on my part.
I had ordered 3 Puja Barshiki magazines based on a direct mailing in August. As others have mentioned, payment was cashed right away. I called on Thursday before the Puja weekend where I live because I hadn’t received the books yet. I spoke to Mr Saha who was very nice and assured me that the magazines had already been shipped and I should have received a confirmation with the tracking number. I told him I hadn’t and he assured me that he will resend the confirmation within next 4 hours. On Tuesday the week after I called again because I had received neither the tracking number nor the books. This time I spoke to someone else and insisted on getting the tracking number on the phone — he did provide it to me and turns out the books were going to be delivered that very day (and they were). The books were shipped Monday (before Puja) the previous week using USPS, so Muktadhara did everything right. The second person even forwarded me a copy of the tracking number email they sent out Monday, so obviously they sent it to me but I somehow missed it (looked in my trash folder, couldn’t find it there either).
The only thing I think they could have done better was to look up my shipment on USPS tracking during my first call and tell me the arrival date, or give me the tracking number so I could check myself. That way the transaction could have gone so much better (and I would have given them 5 stars).

this place is an absolute sham! I was so excited to see them at Kallol Puja and to be able to buy Bengali and Indian magazines from here. Just like the others have said, they cashed my payment instantly, but never deliver consistently. The latest is me switching orders on the kind of magazine I wanted, the response was prompt as they could charge me extra for the magazine, but for 2 months, till date the new magazine has not showed up. Calling them goes to wrong numbers, the website now says the email address has changed. I should have read these Unilocal reviews before I let my gullibility get the best of me. I am going to email Kallol to let them know the kind of vendor this business really is.

This website is a total disgrace on how to do business online, they do not respond to phone calls or emails & continuously make false promises on the delivery time. We had requested the Sharadiya editions of Desh’2011 & Anandabazaar’2011 almost 3 weeks back, & we are still waiting to get it in our hands. They don’t even have the courtesy to inform us if the order is being processed or shipped. I sincerely advise people to go somewhere else for their orders. I really doubt if this is a genuine website in the first place.
