Excellent local bakery/café with super nice staff, clean and fresh décor, and amazing food and drink. While walking around Jackson Heights, we decided to stop in for a coffee. Mind you, everything here is in Spanish, but folks are really friendly(staff and the customers). It seems like a place where they get a lot of repeat customers and have developed a nice foothold in this neighborhood. The lady behind the counter took the time to help explain the goods to me and gave me recommendations. You walk in and along the entire left side is the bakery with sweets and other Spanish bites, such as arepas. I got Pan de Queso — essentially and circle of dough with some cheese inside. The dough was extremely tasty and had subtle hints of sweetness and saltiness to it, with the perfect amount of cheese inside. They have this hot sauce in small containers in the back so I took one to dip it in, and it was some of the best hot sauce I’ve ever had — FANTASTIC. I got a medium coffee and it was all under $ 3, a steal. It’s a bright cheery restaurant and I can see why it consistently stays packed. Definitely swing by for a coffee or juice and a snack when you’re around the area! I wanted to eat all the baked goods they had, but I’ll have to come back and try something new.

The best cakes are here !! I’ve had my kid’s birthday cakes made in this location and they are simply out of this world. The«3 Leches» in particular is my favorite, but«Torta Negra» is great too. You won’t go wrong by getting your cake in this place. Other than that, the bakery is the same as many others in the area …

This small and cozy café offers products of great quality, excellent service and very clean. I like their decoration and the best«tres leches» dessert I have had in New York city is found here. Great job! PS: Only 1 problem I find, Why don’t they answer their phone number? I was trying to find out if they deliver; I tried every phone number I found in Google without luck. This is very important.

5 stars for their Beef Empanadas. very good and generous with the meat. Fav beef empanada spot. For other colombian goodies like buñuelos and pandebonos there are better spots, but are ok here too. anyway go try their empanadas!

The food here was phenomenal, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere was great! Their Arroz con Leche was divine, the miloja my wife had was delicious, and my mother in law had a cookie(I’m forgetting the name). All three were flavorful, not overpowering, and went especially well with the coffee. The place itself is small, but it feels cozy, not cramped. Everything was clean, and the other customers who came and went while we were there seemed to be a good crowd, so it did not feel like a bad place to relax and have dessert. To the staff here, please keep doing what you’re doing, and being so great!

I really wanted to love this place as it is always packed during the day, but the food was mediocre at best. We got a fruit tart and a brownie cheesecake. Both of them were not amazing. The tart crust was so bland that the blandness overpowered the tartness of the filling and fruits. The cheesecake was dense the way I like my cheesecakes, but sadly very bland, plain, and boring. We came a few minutes before closing and were looking for a nice place to eat and chat over desserts. The staff told us we could bring our desserts over to Cositas Ricas to eat. Yup, the CR staff was nice about it. I love Jackson Heights and its close-knit communities. TWO stars for food. FOUR for service and clean, modern interior.

How is this place not rated higher? First of all, the service is quick and friendly, even though you might need to know un poco spanish. The maracuya mousse is simply amazing here, so good it should be illegal! I also loved the arequipe donuts, which were one of the best donuts I’ve ever tasted. I found a few Colombian bakeries are usually greedy when it comes to arequipe, but this bakery really doesn’t skimp on it. I also got an awesome large iced coffee which I loved. All of that came to five dollars which is hard to believe. In Starbucks you get coffee the size of a sippy cup for five bucks, here you get an entire damn feast. Pfft, who even needs Starbucks when you got this place around? If you’re on Roosevelt and need a quick café, no better option than this

I loved it! Good food, clean and organized place, and good service. If you want to have a coffee and eat something yummy and colombian this is a good choice. As long as they keep a good service going the place will be just fine.

It’s one of the best Colombian bakeries in Jackson Heights. The bread us always fresh, the coffee is great, and the desserts are delicious. My husband is from Colombia, and he’s very picky about bakeries, but he says this one is authentic and incredible. The pan de coco, achirra, and mogoya are all amazing. I’ve had all three fresh from the oven and still warm. The maracuya mousse is a special treat — I’ve had it twice! Can’t recommend this place enough

Came here Friday night after finding out that Cositas Ricas no longer runs the pastry end of their café. How disappointing. The mgr turned us toward the brand new bakery Pecoshitas which by far is no comparison. No match whatsoever. Tres Leches was bland and disappointing. I bought Pan de Bono for my friends who raved about them but then again they were virgins to Colombian fare.

This place opened up about a month or so ago, and business is really starting to pick up. It’s first and foremost a bakery, but also does hot sandwiches(think egg and chorizo on fresh enriched bread) and fresh juices(orange and the like, see photo). I saw an espresso machine, brew coffee and a small selection of teas. Various cakes and jelly rolls, and obviously to have true Latino status, flan and tres leches. You can also buy loaves of bread here to make sandwiches. Their plainest one is great for chicken salad and other lunch meats. My absolute favorite is the pan de bono(but I freaking love pan de bono). Good size, costing a buck each. These freeze well, so the bf and I bought a bunch to keep in the freezer. Scooping out the innards and mixing that with some eggs and milk and cheese veggies and restuffing the shells also makes a killer brunch dish, but that’s not the point!!! The point is, the interior is cute, service is friendly and prompt, there are bathrooms and a seating area and it’s a good, bright and clean addition to the Roosevelt usual.(Much better than roosevelt diner!!)

Very nice looking latin bakery. Clean and bright, with a nice amount of seating. 1st visit-Did this right when they opened. Got a doughnut, bread pudding and flan. Everything was amazing. Super fresh. Doughnuts some of the best I’ve ever had. Would give it four or five stars based off of this visit. 2nd visit-One week later. Got three doughnuts, red velvet slice and a tiramisu slice. Of the five things ordered, two of them had that amazing taste and freshness, while three of the items were hard and stale! Nothing that disappoints more than a good bakery keeping their goods past their prime. I hope they fix this, because when it’s fresh it’s great.

This is a new bakery that opened up in Jackson Heights. It’s actually an offshoot café from Cositas Ricas(7919 Roosevelt Ave), since they opted to move the bakery out of that restaurant and use that space for more tables(a good move since it can get crowded). You can’t get baked goods there anymore, so that’s why they made this café. It’s a nicely decorated café, but it’s a bit small and some spaces can appear cramped. Either way, it’s the same excellent bakery that was in Cositas Ricas. While the breads are awesome, I tend to stay away from the cakes since they’re of lesser quality and there are better bakeries for that. Me and my Brazilian girlfriend(her first time) enjoyed it! P. S.: They don’t accept credit cards yet. They just moved in literally a week ago.
