This place is so cheap i orderd a pizza and i did’nt even get a plate just on wraping paper on a tray which is not very clean. I went to ask for more napkins because he only gave me two in the first place and he gave me one more i will never come back here

So here we go, I’ve never posted reviews on Unilocal but depend on them heavily. I am so displeased with Thomas’ Pizza that I needed to post. I’ve been here so many times and thought the pizza was ok(not the best). We recently ordered to my apartment for a play date. This pizza shop is about 2 blocks away. After 40 minutes of waiting for our order, I called to find out the status and the lady who answered the phone was extremely curt. She explained that the delivery guy was on a delivery and that we should be getting our pizza shortly. Okay, cool. Here we are 30 minutes later and still no pizza, I called and asked what the status was and the same lady I spoke with picked and was so RUDE!!! She said the delivery guy had gotten lost at a previous delivery and that our food had been ready which means it had been sitting there. Really, so basically I am expecting to receive cold food??? So I asked her nicely when I could expect my food and she was cutting me off and acting as if I was bothering her. She was nasty and asked me «what do you expect from me if the delivery guy is lost.» Perhaps a phone call letting me know or maybe a nicer tone since we had already waited an hour and ten minutes and it still hadn’t gone out for delivery!!! No, on the contrary it was as if I was bothering them. I could not believe how rude this lady was behaving as she repeated that the pizza was ready but he was lost and that’s it! I had to cancel the order and go elsewhere to eat. I will never eat there again nor recommend this pizza shop to anyone. My kids go to the Renaissance Charter school and we always use them. I will make it my priority to ensure they use a different Pizza place. We called the following day and expressed to the owner that we were disappointed in the service we received. He listened and said he was sorry. He could not provide us with an explanation on the bad service we had experienced. In my opinion coming from a global food service company, I was disappointed with the lack of service. I’m not writing this review with any malice but simply to inform the next guest that this place is not worth their money. They simply don’t care about their customers. There is a lot of hard work that goes into running a business but if you can’t get the fundamentals correct you will never make a long lasting impression!

Damn!!! this place sucks! I should of known better. I remember when the Real Italians worked here, I use to go there a lot. So I ordered two mediums and garlic knots with my friend. I took 1 and half hours to do that. THEPIESARENOGOOD, Burnt and the cheese don’t stick to the bread, the bread is chewy. Whats up with that?! this place needs updating, or just get rid of it.

was once THE local pizza spot to go to … for YEARS since my folks came in the 80s… then management changed. the original owner left and it all changed for the worse. I would not advise anyone to eat here. The pizza is terrible and the service is rude! There is another pizza spot near Elmhurst Hospital and believe me, it is MUCH better in both taste, quality and service. sorry folks! but this pizzary needs to go! If I wanted tacos I would go to Tacos Veloz not Thomas Pizza.

So the place is gross looking and doesn’t seem all that great, but I gotta say… they make a pretty good pizza. I enjoy their sicilian, grandma, and regular pies. Honestly, I want to not like it because it’s so run down looking… but the pizza is great.

An update to my Thomas Pizza review — they’re still great but had to discontinue the whole wheat pies cut to lack of interest from the locals. Maybe they’ll start it up again but for now they still make a fantastic sicilian, and a savory thin crust slice, and have passed down the recipe from the original Thomas from Italy to the new owners, a really nice local family.

Well I use to really like it, then it got a B rating for awhile. I traveled far and wide searching for better pizza cuz I refused to eat at a B rating place. Alas it got in A again but it just falls short to the pizzas I found on my journey. The pizza is solid but anything else u should probably pass. I give it 31⁄2

Thin but bready dough. Hardly any tomato sauce. That taste of cheese that was shredded long before being used. Nice guys so feel for them but truly sub-par.

I passed this place so many times, such a disgusting place. Soup was overpriced which whole foods doesn’t even charge. I found a small rock in my soup eww. Will NEVER come back to this place.

The pizza here is not that impressive, it’s much greasier than I’d like and their sauce is rather watery and generic tasting. Times I’ve come here I’ve gotten pizza roll things or garlic knots, I mean — they’re cheap and they fulfill cravings for quick food(on the off chance that I’m not in the mood for yanno… tacos or empanadas). You’re better off making your own pizza at home or getting a $ 5 «hot and ready» medium pie from Little Ceasars. YES, you read that correctly, I said LITTLECAESARS. Hurry up! GO!

This is the first time and will be the last time I have their pizza. I was in a mood for a slice of mushroom pizza and didn’t know where to go. I passed by this place thousand times so decided to give it a try. The guy who heated up my pizza didn’t wear gloves and he held the pizza with the same hand that he took my money. When I saw that, my heart sunk. I was hoping I wouldn’t get sick after having their pizza. I didn’t expect too much. They used canned mushrooms like many cheap pizza take out places would do. It didn’t taste bad. However, I got SICK! I will never go back again no matter how much I’m craving for a slice of pizza.

It’s ok the seating is good the food is actually quite old but tasty but too expensive but they have good variety and it’s pretty hot in there during the summer

This used to be the best pizza in queens. Now it is mediocre on a good day. Another review said it had changed hands several times over the years, this is incorrect. It had been owned by the same family for 30 years+ and run by new family members as others moved on. The sale over a year ago saw the great demise of this once great pizza parlor. Go somewhere else.

This place has been here forever. It has changed owners at least 5 or 6 times during my lifetime in Jackson Heights. The owner right now has been the same for at least 5 or more years and the food has stayed pretty consistant since. The grandma slices are pretty standard and that I like because a lot of local pizza places try to make their own spin on a «Grandma slice» which does not taste good at all. Hero’s here dont really taste good either. I ordered a veal cutlet parm hero and it was pretty bland and basic. I guess after a while all the pizza places here in Jackson Heights resemble the same thing… classic slices that are now $ 2.50

As local pizza shops go, this one does just fine. The slices are kinda large and flat as they should be. The cheese is a touch greasy for me, but what are napkins for, right? I stop by here maybe once every other week for a slice.

I want to not like this place — the employees are really lacking in energy or manners, and the space is incredibly run-down and dingy(yet not at all in an attractive or charming way) — but the pizza isn’t half bad… I’ve had food from here a couple times now(take-out to my friend’s nearby apartment), and once it’s properly re-heated it’s fairly decent(especially their«white» pizza with ricotta cheese and mozzarella). But I won’t be rushing back.

Confusingly there are *two* Thomas Pizzas in Jackson Heights. I went to this one not listed on Unilocal… so a new First for me. So rare :) On this rare pizza night — only because I saw this place and was fed up of «ethnic» food(did I just say that!) I scanned the pizza slices and spotted these pizza rolls, like cinnamon rolls but spinach and salami. So I grab a couple to go with a Pepsi(one a year treat!) Nothing special, but not bad either. Definitely a take out place… no room for eat in.
