Angels Around You

Would give this salon 4 stars if only I could rate it on the staff. Good work, nice to talk to. However, the xenophobic owner would not stop talking down about the other salons in town, especially the «dirty Vietnamese» places. I had to keep my mouth shut because I brought my mother along and the day was to celebrate her, not to degrade some small minded Jackson trash. Never have nor will be back.

The women who work here are great! They are all really nice, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and do a wonderful job! Especially the massage therapist, Catie. She gave me, easily, the best massage I’ve ever had! Unfortunately, I wish they worked for someone else. The owner made my time there, when I was around her, very uncomfortable. I came into this shop twice, with two different hairstyles, and both times, she had something negative to say about them.
Not only that, but the entire time she was around, she tore apart the reputation of other salons in the area. She specifically named three salons, and said some harsh and untrue things about them. The most outrageous claim she made was when she called a salon dirty, stating that they reuse the acetone they use. I’ve been to this salon that she was talking about multiple times, and never, ever saw this. So it sounds like she’s just trying to gain more customers by throwing dirt all over the names of other businesses.
I would like to go back, because as I mentioned above, the women who work there are great, but I doubt that I will, just because the time I spent around the owner made me angry and uncomfortable.

Worse «facial» I have ever received! Not even a facial, just annoying light touch on my face. I went to spend the day with my sister and we came to Angels Around You for a back-​to-​back facial and massage. The massage was great, and unfortunately I had my facial second. it ruined the good massage. This was not a facial. Lauren used light touches although I’ve repeatedly asked her to put more pressure, it was an hour of discomfort. I could barely even feel the towel on my face as she removed the one mask that was applied. There was no steam, no removal of blackheads, no cleaning whatsoever, and not even a face/​head massage. Just a waste of money!
