The absolute best BBQ anywhere! Smoked ribs and turkey are out of this world. Brunswick stew is the best I have ever had at any BBQ restaurant. Home fries and baked beans are delish too. Very clean. You can see everyone preparing your food. Great service. Love the rustic décor. Very good price for the big serving of food you get. Definitely worth the drive from anywhere.

Best barbecue in Jackson, one of the best barbecue restaurants in Georgia. The stew, pulled pork, and turkey are incredible. The service is always excellent, and the young workers in the kitchen are always good conversation. Don’t go to Jackson without trying Blind Pig!

Ribs were not good. Just mush. I guess they were reheated too many times. Sauce was just wet no flavor. I ask for sauce but was told it was already on it. No choice of what you want. $ 38.00. You would think I could get the sauce I want. Beans were nasty and cold. No more blind pig. fresh air BBQ next time. Never had a bad meal there.

Yes, it hit the spot! Great fall of the bone ribs. Highlights: Ribs are perfectly seasoned and cooked, Generous portions, Friendly staff and a decent sized dinning area, Quick service and help yourself peanuts bucket. Can improve: Their half rack is $ 15 and a full rack is $ 19, the pricing doesn’t seem to make much sense. They maybe have a quarter rack option plate that comes with 2 sides? Also, apart from their ribs, I have tried everything else on the menu and the only other thing I like are the beans. Benchmark: Great BBQ but limited to ribs. I have a had Fat Matt’s in downtown and these come very close in quality and taste. But Fat Matt’s has great sides so I will have to go with them on an overall score. Ordered take out multiple times since Aug 2015 and will keep coming back form more.

On my way down to Disney we stopped here and I could not have been more impressed with the place. It was a little bit out of the middle of no where, but I saw they had good reviews on Unilocal so I took a chance. The place just looks cool. It is set up nicely for a BBQ joint. I got a full rack of ribs with two sides and my wife got a pulled pork platter with two sides. The prices were under what I would expect for the quality of everything we had. The first thing we had was a rosemary lemonade that was absolutely delicious. It sounds like a weird combo, but it was outrageously good. My ribs were outstanding. Perfect amount of smoke and super tender. The home fries are great and seasoned well. The Brunswick stew was great as well. Never had this before being from up north and I really liked it. I tried my wife’s pulled pork and it was great. She even got a piece of coconut pie that was outstanding. Literally everything we had here was outstanding. The staff is very friendly and the place is clean. I could not recommend this place more to anyone. If I am in this area again I will make it a point to go here again.

Well we did like others and went to one of the top 25. My wife said the pulled pork was awesome. The homemade baked beans were outta this world. The sweet tea was perfect even though the blind pig workers thought it was funny to not have tops for to go drinks. Now to the ribs, they were tender and juicy but the sauce had to much of a tangy taste to it. We were there for lunch on a Saturday and us and three fishermen were the only ones there even though the town of Jackson was pact with traffic. Just saying, oh yeah and the price was high and the selection low.

My gf and I along with her son stopped into this place today to try it out for the first time. We were not disappointed at all. We both had the pulled pork plate(mine with fries and stew, and hers with slaw and beans). The BBQ was absolutely delicious!!! We both really enjoyed the slaw(and we don’t care for anyones slaw). Stew was excellent and very flavorful. Beans were standard and the fries were pretty good. The little one got a hot dog and even that was really good too(yes we had to try it as well). Sweet tea was pretty good too. The staff was super friendly and service was quick. It was kinda out of the way to get to the place but once there we could see how they stay in business. Will absolutely be going back to try the ribs next time.

First of all, it’s NOT where the GPS or Unilocal mapping thinks it is, so watch for the signs. Then just for fun I guess, there’s no sign at the last turn. We drove 30 minutes out of our way because of the five star review of this place. Certainly not deserving of five stars! They do not have chicken, nor do they have any kind of beef or brisket. They do have a chicken special on Sundays, but we were not there on Sunday. So pork sandwich it was, and not the best I ever had, not even close. My wife had a turkey breast which actually wasn’t that good and we don’t believe it was even freshly prepared. Putting a plain piece of white bread on the plate next to turkey breast isn’t exactly our idea of what barbecue should be. The place is clearly in need of an overhaul. No idea when the last time was the Decour was updated, and I don’t mind antique Decour, but it was just dirty. I still gave it two stars because the sides weren’t bad and I actually like the Brunswick stew which had a bunch of meat in it and was very good. Also the sliced potatoes that were fried like french fries were very good as well. Definitely wouldn’t drive 30 minutes out of my way again to go to this place.

Should Blind Pig BBQ be mentioned with some of the best BBQ shacks in NC/SC/GATN? Probably not. Is it darn good? Yes. In Jackson, Georgia, and likely within 50 miles of here, good luck finding better. We took an extended lunch to drive out into the sticks for a chance to decide this for ourselves and are glad we did. And, if you’re headed to Indian Springs State Park or Jackson Lake, a stop here is a must. Blind Pig offers very good BBQ and honestly, one of the best Brunswick stews I’ve tasted — and that’s having eaten at more than 250BBQ restaurants in the country(no exaggeration). The stew is the best thing going here and a must-try for everyone. Upon arrival, you’ll find friendly folks awaiting your visit. Don’t expect to pull in next to other restaurants, gas stations and a local Walmart. This place is a stand alone and does a great job at standing out. We sampled the smoked turkey and pulled pork, both of which were solid. I can’t imagine anyone complaining. Meanwhile, the sauce wasn’t the best we’ve ever had, which kept us from notching five-stars. As for the sides, dive into the french fries. These hand-cut potatoes hit the spot. In fact, you’ll probably want to order another load of them. Just remember, there’s normally homemade pie, too. Homemade is a theme here. Don’t expect to eat reheated and frozen food. Go to a chain for that.

The Blind Pig has some of the best BBQ I have ever had in my life. I want to live my life at this restaurant. I will get married here, and have kids here, and welcome my grandchildren here, and then die happy and full of pulled pork. So yeah, it’s worth the drive. The stew and home fries are fantastic, and they have BBQ chicken on Sundays. I am not a ribs person, but I have witnessed people go into rib-induced feeding frenzies, so they must be good. If you’re not into pork, the barbecue turkey is a tasty alternative.

Love this place. I am not much for BBQ but I love me some smoked turkey! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Home made desserts are mouth watering and are always fresh. Prices are cheap. If you want ribs or chicken, recommended getting there early. While it’s off the beaten path, it is completely worth it!

These might be the best ribs I’ve ever eaten. The stew was very good was the slaw. I will be back and try more. The rosemary lemonade wasn’t my thing… but it was interesting. This place is an absolute gem.

Ever like to get in the car and take a road trip with food as the destination? Consider driving out to Blind Pig BBQ. The first time I go to any BBQ place I have to get the pork plate with a side of stew. Blind Pig did not disappoint. The portions were generous for the price. I thought the sauce was good. There was a bit more smoke flavor in the meat than other places I’ve tried in the area. The service was friendly, and it wasn’t too crowded the afternoon I went so I talked a little college football with the staff while finishing up eating(but not with my mouth full). The place seems bigger than I would have guessed when looking at it from the outside. I think if folks from out of town come for a visit wanting good Georgia BBQ, I’m taking them to Blind Pig.

This was my third visit to the Blind Pig. Every time I go, it’s just as good. Great bbq, and nice spicy sauces to go with it! One of my favorite spots to eat when in the area.

Off the beaten track, a little over an hour outside of Atlanta. Perhaps can be considered a hole in the wall. Décor is minimal, but it is relatively spacious and comfortable. Once your close, you can’t miss the place. It’s the building with the blind pig on it. I arrived here late morning and was bummed to find out they were out of ribs! DOH! I tried some of their other dishes. The pulled pork, baked beans, and stew were all pretty good. And this place was cheap too. Really, really good value. I can’t wait to go back and try me some ribs!

The boyfriend lives right now the road from here. We ate here for lunch on saturday. He had eaten here before but he wanted me to try it. I had the pulled pork plate with fries and cole slaw. he had pulled pork with slaw and baked beans. He was really wanting me to try the rosemary lemonade. He got a class and I had a sip. It was pretty tasty. I also tried his baked beans and they were delicious. I could have eaten the whole thing. cole slaw was allright and the pork was YUMMY!!!

I have returned here several times just to have the spare ribs and stew. The ribs are a work of art. I had to preorder some to serve the relatives at Christmas(I didn’t want the relatives swooning in public!) We ended up freezing the leftover ribs which were then carefully packed in ice to return to SF with a son. He has since phoned to have me figure out how to supply him regularly(FEDEX here I come!) This is a blind pig that knows what it is doing! I have also had the beans and they are excellant. Still have not been able to make it to the desserts, which still look wonderful.

For openers, almost literally in the middle of nowhere, The Blind Pig makes the time for the trip more than just worthwhile. This is barbecue the way it was meant to be made and served as it is supposed to be — from a shack alongside a rural road. Order at the counter and takee a seat in the screened-in porch area or in the dining area. They also do catering and I savored their finest when Peterbilt Trucks opened theiur new facility near Jackson, Georgia. Turns out their food is as good catered as it is on their porch in the middle of nowhere. The pulled pork and the pulled turkey both come moist and full flavored. And none of that«fall off the bone» nonesense that screams par-boiled or oven baked when it comes to their ribs. Meaty St Louis cut with the good flavor of hickory, thier ribs are as good as any you’ll enjoy. What could be be better? It may be a matter of personal taste, but I found the chopped slaw bland. Not sure they smoke/serve brisket but will check next time, ditto homemade pies. Five stars from The Brown She Gourmet — it’s Classic ‘Cue on site or catered.

The fella and I are working our way through Atlanta Magazine’s top five Atlanta area barbecue spots, and at #5, The Blind Pig was our first stop. The barbecue at The Blind Pig is worth the drive. Their ribs are quite tender and deliciously meaty, their sauces are delicious, and the smokey flavor of all their offerings is spot on. For the classics of Southern barbecue, pork ribs, brunswick stew, chopped pork sandwiches, the Blind Pig is a 4 star establishment in my book. A solid 4. But The Blind Pig has earned an extra special place in my heart, because I love Thanksgiving. This point may sound weird, but it is key to this review, so I need to level with you. I love Thanksgiving. I love it so much, that I seek out Thanksgiving-like entrees throughout the year. I am a summer baby, born in July, and for years on my birthday, in the heat of summer, I would ask for Thanksgiving for dinner. I love turkey, the classic sides and pie. The smoked turkey at The Blind Pig is without peer. It is so delicious it will haunt you. Its flavor is mesquite and lingering, its texture is perfectly yielding and moist. For the turkey alone this place would get 5 stars in my book, but the Pig has even more gems to offer. Homemade pie is readily available– pie with buttery crusts in delicious flavors(for instance chocolate cherry). These are the magical country pies you always seek out at roadside diners but seldom find. The Pig also does some of the best baked beans I’ve ever experienced, not-too-sweet and a little spicy with delicious smoked sausages bits sitting among three kinds of beans. You must go, like-minded Atlantans, and seek The Blind Pig out. The 40 mile drive feels like an quest, and the feasting at the end feels like a just reward. I’ve already called the place to reserve my smoked turkey for Thanksgiving.

Good find Mr. Addison, good find.(Atlanta Magazine #5). Road Trip… July 4th weekend 2010 Now, while everyone else in Atlanta is searching for their favorite couzies, arm floaties, jet ski keys, and wife beaters… my BBQ seaking a”‘s headed to the southern bumble f””k woods for a little smoked pigggy… come here piggypiggypiggy… appropriately in Butts County.(pork butt hint hint) After driving about 40 miles, through a land filled with classic Dixie small businesses aka… yard sales, produce stands, cousin swaps, and bait shacks, I arrived at the newcomer onto the scene… Blind Pig. First, impression… looks like a classic road Que joint, a little to nice, owner’s accent is dead on, no particular smells, menu is standard Georgia style, open kitchen behind order counter(traditional), 15 minutes in line — good sign — hmmmm what to order… oh yeah some smoked pig. Lunch special-$ 7.95 Choice Fumed Pork or Turkey Sandwhich… ummm pork Choice Stew or Beans… ummm stew Choice Slaw or Fries… ummm slaw Choice Drink… tea This spot is the epitome of everything a classic Georgia Que place should be. If you own or intend to own a BBQ place than come here to eat, and if you are not close to being as good as these guys than shut down or don’t open so I can save my f””n’ gas money… thank you very much. Everything is well seasoned… especially with black pepper… which I like, and the sauce has got some tang and heat. Cole slaw is your standard fine chop, but they make a well flavored dressing. Brunswick Stew is in the top 3 that I have ever had. The Pork sand. is your base two cheap pickles w/sunbeam bun, but the pork and sauce make this $ 7.95 lunch worth all the drivin’. Oh yeah… the tea is good… if you can’t make sweet tea like this don’t f;;;;n;” bother. I’m lonely… give me a rack to go, sauce on the side, beans, more slaw, and GPS coordinates home. Made it out alive before to many locals start to look at me with both their crossed eyes… but I have the comfort of ribs to guide me back to the smog. Oh yeah… these beans are perfect, the ribs deserve a review all to themselves. Praise Zeus… I have Been Blind – ed(Pig) by the the light, but I can see clearly now… please be this good or better @ your place so I can stop dissin’ on the Que around these parts. amen 4.45 stars for being the base Georgia BBQ blueprint Chef Invisible – Out
