Now this is authentic mexican!!! A hidden gem in Jackson. To all the veggies out there they use vegetable oil. Just pure yummy! Rice yum, sopa yum, mild salsa is green and yummyyyy!

This is a taco truck which is permanently parked in the BP gas station parking lot in Jackson. It is authentic Mexican food and owned and operated by a Mexican family. They are open Monday thru Friday from 9 – 8. They have all kids of authentic dishes and food, tacos, tamales, chips & salsa, nachos, burritos, and much more. They even have a breakfast dish. They over several various kinds of meats such as chicken, steak, ground beef, pork, chorizo sausage, beef tongue, shredded beef, beef cheek, and tripe. Nothing on the menu cost over $ 6. It is all homemade and delicious. You might get a bigger portion at Taco Bell or other so called Mexican places but you won’t get the great taste. I had a 3 chicken taco dinner, it came with homemade refried beans and rice and it was only $ 5. The wait was minimal & it was nice and piping hot. The homemade mild sauce was exquisite! I also ordered 3 beef tacos & a tamale. This is the real deal people! It took my back to my days living in California. If you want real affordable and authentic high quality Mexican food the El Gordo Taco Truck is the place to go!
