Just ok if you are simply hungry. I’ll step out there and say it is just mediocre. First, all the sides are bought from Walmart or Sam’s. The bbq sauce is Sweet Baby Ray’s from Walmart. The meat is ok. We had a Bbq plate with ribs, beans, cole slaw, potato salad and a pulled pork sandwich. If you must stop, I recommend the pulled pork sandwich.

It was a beautiful day for a picnic with ribs and pulled pork. Found this BBQ stand on Unilocal and have to agree that it was really good. The spicy sauce wasn’t real spicy, but the meat was great!

bleh. So I’ll be the lone dissenter. It was«ok» but they told us right off they were out of brisket when we walked up. First let down. So we ordered the chopped beef sandwich and a warm coke. The sandwich was ok but we also have a lot of bar-b-que in Texas so the stakes were higher in our case. It was certainly edible but not enough to stop back in again. Maybe next time they will have brisket.

What a gem! My hotel recommended this place, but warned that they usually sell out by 6pm. It’s a super cute(though I don’t think they were going for that) stand on the side of a road. Like a stationary food truck w picnic tables and tons of parking. They were really fast, friendly, and the bbq was great. I’m from the North, so I’m not a bbq expert. They let me try the spicy and the sweet sauce. A big sandwich w sauce and slaw(on the sandwich — that was new for me), was only $ 6.

Do NOT drive past exit 87 on I-40 in Jackson TN without pulling off and stopping here. It’s right across from the Loves. Truck parking available, just done overstay your time. They flat out have the best BBQ at very reasonable prices. Fast and very pleasant service. Enjoy!

Pork sandwich excellent, slab of ribs good, lack of drink options… just go to Wal-Mart crew!

On the way back from VA for Turkey Day we Unilocaled from the highway looking for food. Specifically a Food Truck. We read the reviews and jumped off the highway. Great decision! Ribs were juicy, tender and meaty. Cole slaw was sweet but good. Potato Salad was flavorful. Adding eggs would’ve been a big improvement. Bae had the baked beans and said they were really good. He thought the Pig in a wig and panties(drawers in the south) was hilarious. I’m ol’skool so I had to get the bologna. Glad I did. Nothing but mustard. Sooooo good! Simplicity at it’s best. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Even more so when they found out I was a Unilocaler. I’m told the breakfast is really good and the sausage is larger than a burger. Can’t wait to find out. This place is a «must try» if you are passing by. They told me breakfast starts at 3am.

Everything we’d hoped for! I had the rib plate and my husband had BBQ plate with beans and coleslaw both excellent! It helped to read all the great reviews.

I’ve been coming to Jackson for the past 8 months and never gave this place a thought. You don’t have to drive a truck to stop here. So all this time I’ve been going to Reggi’s until a buddy says we have to come here. This day we came was sunny and 77 degrees. So we sat on the picnic benches under the tree. The Barbecue was sooooo good and I’m hooked. Stop here cause it is so worth it.

Very good BBQ! As soon as you take the turn it’s right there on your right — if you go to fast you may miss it. Excellent fast service !! They have a sweet and spicy sauce. I prefer the sweet… A must try! Worth the stop.

Passed by here as I was driving across the country from Cali to DC. The family that runs the business are really nice, but that’s just how tennesseans are. Always super nice ! I got the BBQ Bologna was super good! Definitely worth a stop if you’re on your way to Nashville from Memphis or the other way around

We both ordered the Jumbo BBQ sandwich(sweet) with slaw. OMG! It was very good and filled us up(and we ain’t little people, if you know what I mean). Highly recommend a stop here if you don’t need fancy food and table cloths.

So we elected to skip Memphis BBQ for Jackson’s fare and we were not disappointed. The service was really fast and friendly. My wife and I each had a rib plate(one spicy and one sweet) and both were excellent. The rib meat was tender, juicy and well balanced by the sauces. The cole slaw(on the sweet side) was good, but the beans and potato salad really stood out. As indicated by others, the portions were sizable and made for a full meal. Dining by the road at one of the picnic tables was rather unique. A nice change of pace from loud restaurants. We would highly recommend this stop if passing by on I-40, especially if you are in a big rig or RV — due to the ample truck parking. Might even be worth a bit of road trip.

Stuck in the middle of nowhere Tennessee this the little truck stop gem made my day. Had a spicy jumbo bbq sandwich with slaw. Delicious. It is a simple, unpretentious, side of the road hole in the wall. If you are ever driving by, stop by and get a picture with the wig/sunglasses wearing cement pig.

This place is simple and yet so good! I showed up early in the morning and got a sausage, egg & cheese on the toasted bun and was by far one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve eaten. I also got a jumbo pulled pork sandwich and it was one of the best I’ve eaten to date. Friendly girl working the truck and was helpful with my questions. Don’t stop by thinking it’s a five star building because it’s not and it doesn’t need to be. It’s down to business. A lot of semi drivers in and out as it has a big lot to park in. I’ll be back for sure!

Omg. My husband drives a truck and suggested we stop by here for breakfast while on the road. I admit I questioned his decision for breakfast at a BBQ food trailor/truck. I. Was. Wrong. We both ordered a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Just freaking wow. The sausage was the size of a hamburger patty and super tasty. The egg was perfect and cheese was melted nicely on the toasted hamburger bun. I would snap a picture but yeah it’s too late for all that. I hear the BBQ is just as wonderful. There is no indoor seating but there are 5 picnic tables for outdoor dining when weather permits. Oh… and there is a pig with a wig, shades, and panties. Go snap a picture. Plenty if parking if you drive a semi. The only reason to pass up a Hardee’s breakfast.(There is a Hardee’s across the street). Go on now. Pick up some food. You will be glad you did.

Next to the BP right off the interstate– great if you are passing through. I drove into Jackson to try Mac’s but they were closed. Next door at Art’s bar the bartender Lola said I should try her cousin’s place, Exit 87BBQ. Thanks Lola! I got the jumbo pork sandwich with slaw on it– great ‘cue!

Wife and I stopped here to try the food because other truck drivers told us the food was excellent. They were correct. Tender meat, the kind that melts in your mouth. They take orders over the CB so it’s ready when you arrive. Truck parking. Opens at 6am. It closes when the food is all gone so come early. Across the street from the Loves truck stop
