Jackson Skating Center-Roller Magic

This place is a DUMP. Only skating here until SA back up and running. It is mind boggling that both rinks owned by same people. Hope the SA staff earns more, because they obviously do far more work. Dirty bathroom with mildew and/​or mold smell. Dirty carpets. FILTY snack area. Oh, and the bullet holes in the vestibule are a classy addition. My daughters skates have never been this FILTY, and she’s skated at SA for 4 years.

My daughter has had a birthday party here and my son has been to some here. The staff is Friendly. The place is very clean except for the bathroom, which is completely out of the staffs control. Sadly, the patrons are pigs. The music is great, and the activities are a lot of fun. They have a huge arcade as well.

The staff at this rink is horrendous and they are all incredibly rude. I came with a large group of kids and the way they spoke to them was just completely unacceptable. The woman at the DJ Booth, I presume the manager, had nothing but an attitude when the children I was with tried to request songs or ask questions about the vending machine. One employee, an adult male might I add, went as far as to scold my SEVEN year old for accidentally putting a five dollar bill in the machine instead of a one. That’s when I all about had enough. The rink was small, there were no games or anything fun that would allow it to even hold a flame to other skating rinks, and the skates look like they are the same ones they had when they first were invented. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Wednesday night disaster ! We went there with my 2 kids and gf, drive in there and the parking lot looked like a supper bowl game. We walked into the place and there was probably over 1000 people and the rink was almost full. We paid and got out skates and that’s another story.
These skates are so old that they hurt our feet. I used to skate and let me tell you these skates should not even be in circulation. They should not even rent these out because almost all of the buckles are broken and the boots are disgusting dirty. I let the kids skate for about 20 minutes and they called it quit because of the skates and the over crowding. I can’t believe the fire marshal did not shut it down because of the over capacity. They were so over booked that they didn’t have size 4,5,6,7,8
Anyway never again

The satisfaction rating is overall a two. I recommend not to try the food as the pizza can be compared to rubber and the fries come cold.
Skating was fine, family friendly. Becomes packed in the summer because it is a local spot for the recreation camps. Fairly small rink and ok for those who want a birthday party there.
Birthday parties are ok. A party table that is open for everyone to see (especially that people at the snack line).A 2006 now overrated chicken dance is played. A boys vs girls screaming competition. And some jumbo dice game that I believe is four corners. Besides that it really isn’t shown that it is someone’s special day
Would I go back again? Well it is the only local rink. And the «Teen Night» was a hit. Maybe, but I’ll keep my review accurate until then.
