The Lil Country Store is maybe a mile from my family. We seem to find a reason to come here. They sell bait including crickets to use fishing. They have fresh baked brownies that are a hit with everyone. They sell the old school snacks I used to have in my lunch box as a child. Oatmeal crème pies, moon pies, etc. The food they serve is really good and priced cheap. They have breaded cauliflower, mushrooms, okra, ribbon fries(which they are famous for), fried bologna sandwiches, fish sandwiches, philly sandwiches, the list goes on. They have a large selection of breakfast as well.

Good food, great staff, huge portions and unbelievably low prices make this a perfect place for me to stop when I am in the area. Like the name says, it is a country store where you can have a smoke out front or even in the dining area. You can grab some homemade baked goods, grab a quick hamburger to go, or have a sitdown meal.
