Disappointed — today. I normally order the 18oz Outlaw Ribeye. I like my steak with a bone-in for flavor and prefer it rare to medium rare. Today? NOBONE!(except a small sliver that I almost didn’t find). The person making the grill should know that the steak didn’t have a bone — but they ‘chose’ to cook it anyway. Someone else in the kitchen is responsible for the quality of the food that goes out to the customers tables! Someone! Yes, really. Maybe they didn’t show up today? Then the wait staff is the next quality checkpoint. There’s absolutely no excuse for poor quality food leaving the kitchen. Went didn’t I send it back? Strange things happen when food is sent back… just sayin’ Customers vote with their dollars. Sigh. I guess I need to find another steak restaurant.

Steak was alright, nothing special but the service was excellent nonetheless. My only take was cleanliness. I just can’t stand it when I get seated at a table that is not clean! #tamernose

Well, I have been eating at Longhorns around region for years. One thing I can safely say is the food is inconsistently good. And the service is ALWAYS hit or miss. After a recent outing at the Jackson, Tenn. location, I decided I will have to quit gambling on whether I would get good service or good food or neither. First, they were out of their highly recommended firecracker wraps. My companion had to send her chicken entrée back because it was cold. Unwaivered, I dove into my New York strip, which I ordered to be cooked medium. The first quarter of it was cooked to perfection… However, as I neared the center it was a raw, bloody mess. Not wanting to have recooked steak brought back to me I just chose to take it home. Our waitress may have had too much to deal that evening with and always seemed to be walking away as she asked how we were. She loudly slung the bread on the table and spilled tea on my friend, not once, but twice. The manager did take the chicken off our ticket and we tipped the waitress the full amount as if we were still paying full price. Sorry Longhorn, you have fallen short too many times.

Excellent service and food! I ordered a Flat Iron steak with salad and loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked exactly as I requested… rare. YUM! My server, Austin, was awesome. He was friendly, professional, and attentive. His skills are commendable. LongHorn Steakhouse should be renamed«Better Than Cheddars» HA

This place always leaves me satisfied. Their steaks, especially the ribeye, are very flavorful. Not Ruth Chris level mind you, but still about the best Jackson has to offer. Service here is also top notch, management here seems to care more than most places I would say. Excellent place for a date.

This is one of my favorite steakhouses. I have only have excellent customer service here, always impressed. Their strawberry lemonade is delicious. My personal favorite is the salmon or the pork chops– both are so delicious and cooked to perfection. Their bread is very good as well. They have yummy steaks and salads as well.

The Steaks are prepared properly. The service is ok I don’t understand if a ribeye is 26.00 and six people eat or a couple comes in of 2 Why do they get skimpy with the bread. I don’t get a discount on the price so don’t short change me on the bread and make me feel like a hog making the wait staff bring 4 or 5 baskets of bread. Other then that I eat here often and feel well with the check for the food. arrives

I am not going to put this chain steakhouse on the level of Long John Silver’s, but it’s pretty close at times. Maybe it’s just the hometown and Hub City location that is lacking in service, originality and quality, but I doubt I will check out another anytime soon. Don’t get me wrong — I have been to the LongHorn plenty of times. I usually get a salad. And then I will get a salad the next time. And then I will get a steak and order it medium rare. And it will show up well done. And I will be nice and eat it and drown it in A-1 because it tastes like rubber. And I will promise myself I will only order the grilled chicken salad in the future. And after a few times of getting the salad, I get the steak. And it is massively overcooked. You hopefully catch my drift. One time, after the 2003 tornado, my parents ate here when it was pretty much the only place in town not out of power and closed. They asked to split a filet, and the kitchen cut the steak in half for them in the kitchen before cooking — horizontally. Their filet was ½ an inch thick and per their description was about as tender as a steel beam. So anyway, this is likely a great place to go if you like your meat well done. Which I do not. So I will be sticking to the chicken salad from now on. Note: the rice side dish is pretty good. 2 stars.

Excellent food. Everyone I have talked to about the place says the service and food are great. On our last visit it took a while and some of the food that was brought out was not that great looking. As the plates were set down the waitress apologized and let us know the affected dishes were being re-made and that the manager would be over to see us. The remade dishes were excellent and the entire table ended up being comped. It was nice that they saw that the service was not up to par and on their own, with out a word from us made it right. We tipped anyway and will definitely be going back.

Have eaten at longhorn many times in south carolina but this one was terrible. The salmon was over cooked and the veggies were undercooked.

Great steaks, cooked just right. be sure to try the Flo’s filet. Friendly service. A typical Longhorn’s location.
