Old Hickory Inn

I was on a road trip and needed a quick place to stay for the night. I chose this hotel because it came up on my search, was affordable, and was convenient. After my stay, I still say that it is affordable and convenient, but it is a dire establishment. The lobby is decorated nicely and is welcoming, although the reception desk was staffed by someone who lacked a personality. It was nice to see a mini-​fridge and a microwave in the room, although I didn’t need to use them. However, the pleasantries stop there. The room was filthy! The corners of the bathroom floor were so dirty and appeared as if they’d never been cleaned. The shower didn’t look much cleaner and the carpet was equally unappealing. I needed a shower badly, but I didn’t feel much cleaner after using the disgusting tub. The bed was comfy enough, but considering the filth on all of the surfaces, it was hard to believe that the bedding had been cleaned recently. The worst part of this experience was that the toilet made a loud, awful noise that went on for at least a minute every time it was flushed. People often say that you get what you pay for; in this case, I paid at least double what I should have.

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel while on a long road trip from Ohio to Memphis. The hotel was a little run down, but comfortable enough for a tired traveler. The continental breakfast was convenient, and nice. Also, the front desk clerk, named Ulysses was very professional and polite. He did everything he could to make my stay comfortable.

This place was so bad uncomfortable beds dirty. Music from the bar with loud boom boom music. Lots of strange people walking around out side the doors. I didn’t feel safe here.

Needs to be renovated and cleaned! Spend a few extra dollars to stay somewhere else! I know we will next time!

Not the nicest hotel but it serves its purpose for a goodnight sleep and at an affordable rate.
