My car was burglarized at this park on Monday March 14, 2011 at approximately 6:30pm. I went for a run with my boyfriend and when we got back, my front passenger window was busted and someone stole my purse from the floor of the backseat. It took the police at least 20 minutes to get there and I have been investigating the incident myself. The thief immediately purchased gas on all of my credit cards. I went to the stations to try to get a video, but so far no luck. Apparently the apartments across the street from the park have some tenants who are watching the parking lot until no one is around the cars. I wasn’t the first person, but I hope to be the last. DONOTJOGATTHISPARK!!! ATLEASTNOTUNTILTHEYHAVE24HRSECURITY.

I love this park. It has an approx. one mile winedy(with a few small hills) blacktop trail for walking or jogging next to a set of tennis courts. Virtually the entire park is tree covered, which is awesome to protect you from the sun while you’re exercising. For the most part, there is always at least one other person on the trail. Almost every time I’ve been for a run on the trail there has been 5 – 10 other people on the trail. Additionally, two sides of the park are bordered by roads with consistent traffic. Because of that, I feel safer out there by myself.
