Massive and wonderful selection of rare azaleas, conifers, and myriad other plants, including a great variety of natives. Like another reviewer, I too need supervision here, or I would always be coming home with a full car(and indeed I have done this more than once). They have many larger specimens as well in their multi-acre forest(display garden) behind the greenhouses, which all visitors should take a walk through. This place is quite a sight during rhodie/azalea season(which, because they have so many varieties, is pretty much early spring to mid summer). Their pond/water gardening selection is also top notch. Prices are perhaps slightly higher than average, but the quality and the selection is way above average, and the employees are super helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great fall sale, too(which is the best time for planting perennials anyhow). All around, my favorite garden center, and well worth a drive.

My husband got an itch for carnivorous plants some years ago, and this place is just what the doctor ordered. Their staff is wonderfully informative and their variety is unbelievable, especially in terms of this particular niche. Bitten by the Little Shop of Horrors bug? Take the ride to Jackson and ask for Jason or the Bogman, you will not be disappointed. But bring your wallets and remember, you get what you pay for.

A very large selection of unusual native plants and shrubs. They specialize in Azaleas and Rhododendrons. The service is personalized. All the staff are very knowledgeable. They offer workshops and talks that are an absolute delight to attend. A very popular one is the Build a Bog workshop where you create your own container Bog to take home. The naturalized grounds are especially spectacular when in bloom.

My wife and I love this place; if left without«supervsion» she would come home with carloads of azaleas, which is one of Rare Find’s specialties. They are know for excellent selections of azaleas and rhododendrons. Hours are limited so check their web site or call ahead. Mostly they are open Wednesday thru Saturday, closed Sunday to Tuesday. They have an amazing 11 acre display garden which is a wonderful place to visit in the Spring. They give free guided tours on motorized carts or you can walk thru on your own. Awesome.
