It’s the best bar in town. Games in the back easy going staff. Stop by you won’t be disappointed.

We were seated in a back room on the left of the restaurant at a large table surrounded by old school video games. They had Pac-​Man, Street Fighter, air hockey and more. It was a great way to pass the time after we put our food and drink orders in. There’s also a change machine in case you need quarters.
I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich on the jalepeno cheddar bun and waffle fries. I don’t normally have high expectations for bar food, but my sandwich was great! It was spicy and the fries were excellent! Also on Wednesday nights if you order a draft beer you get to keep your pint glass! I’d highly recommend a Yalobusha Brewing Co. Mississippi Blues Trail.

The Bulldog has an excellent beer selection both bottled and draft. The beer menu is twice the size of the food menu. There are seasonal beers and other beers that are rotated in and out. I always find something new to try, and there is typically a beer special every night of the week.
The food is average or slightly better than average for a pub. When it first opened food was a little better than it is now. The menu has changed slightly, and the quality of food has declined slightly, but still is a great place to go for after work meeting or just for beer and a burger. There are also other menu items like all he tuna salads and the like for those not looking for the traditional pub fare.
There are multiple tvs during sports seasons with every game on as well as of music selection that is controlled by you through an app. There is plenty of indoor seating, a private party room, as well as a nice outdoor patio.

Good beer list-​did have one that was skunky but they made good on it. Food was tasty. Get there early to make sure they can get the tv tuned to the correct channel.

I went for burgers and drinks after work one evening. We were seated immediately, but it took awhile for our waitress to ask for my table’s drinks orders. The music was loud, so she had to ask two or three times. The beer selection is one of the best I’ve seen in Jackson. Their burgers are pretty good, reasonably priced and I *love* their fries. It’s a cool atmosphere, that comes complete with a game room for kids and kids at heart!

Great bartenders!!! Charlie and Blake rock!!! We are from out of state and feel right at home!!! Try the crawfish banditos!!!

Great food, great patio, great drink & happy hour prices, and friendly helpful staff. Get the Tuna steak sandwich!

I come here one a week at least. The food is great, the staff are friendly, and lots of beers on tap. I’ve always had good service and the place is always clean. Definitely a fun place to have a beer and chill out our watch a game.

Food is fantasic, service is great. Entire staff is friendly (even on a Monday).
This was my first time at The Bulldog. I’m not from this area, but I will definitely be coming back.

So when I came here after a day of sales calls, I really wasn’t expecting to have to listen to the multi level marketing scam schpeel being blasted from the mic in the not so private party area. A few curtains is not effective sound proofing, and your regular customers should not have to listen to middle aged swindlers conning housewives into selling skin care. If a private party like a birthday party books, no problem, but the area is not suitable for anyone using a speaker system to annoy other guests. Maybe good for live bands, but not this.
Once said scheming club finally shut up the ambience was actually nice. Cute lights in the trees on the patio you can see from inside, good music mix, pub feel.
My waitress was blah. Nice, but not very friendly or engaging.
The food was decent. Had the house salad, great honey mustard dressing, could use some cucumbers or other stuff to dress it up. Lettuce should also be cut smaller, they use romaine and it comes as long strips that are messy to eat. Crawfish pie had good seasoning and amount of crawfish. Too much pie crust for my taste, but I can pick around that because I know there are people who love that stuff. Would be nice if the veggies weren’t cooked so long, they lose their texture and the dish could use something to pick it up a little.
So good atmosphere, ok food and service, but major marks off for allowing a group to swallow all the airspace from other paying customers.

Came back for round 2. Beer is great. Quesadillas were amazing. Summer rum punch was great. Patron De-​Stress awesome. Would definitely come back again. This place is a must go if you want a great time with good times.

I enjoyed this place and I’m typically not a fan of a bar. This reminded me of Gaston’s Tavern from Beauty and the Beast. The onion rings are BEYOND the greatest I have ever had. I had passed this place tons of times and was flabbergasted I hadn’t tried it sooner! The Bulldog is a definite MUST!

The bartenders were AWESOME!!! #ROCK NCAA final game. Enjoyed the drinks and the staff was wonderful.
Now to the food:
The crawfish pie was not the business. I don’t know what it was. It seemed like a crusty, flaky, croissant type crust with dirty crawfish rice stuffed inside. Then it was topped on a bed of potatoes. The flavor wasn’t too bad. #Diabetes
The wings were store bought and uneventful.
The red beans and rice were more like canned pinto beans with two table spoons of rice. Really?! Flavorless, lifeless, lackluster.
The bleu cheese burger was decent, I wish I had added bacon. The burger made up for the ENTIRE meal. *****
Ambiance was cool and great beer selections. Outstanding bar staff and very friendly people. Stick with burgers, I think, since I didn’t try more items.
Drinks and Burgers here for me. Too afraid to try anything else.

Drinks were good.
Service was a bit slow.
When first arrived it we sat and waited to order a drink. We finally went to bar to order a drink. After our first drink a waitress came over and took care of us for the rest of the game we where watching.

Really enjoyed the wings and even though our waitress tried 2 rush us into ordering we had a nice time
She misunderstood my order but the food was great all the same a definite revisit

Knowing what else is out there … this place earns a solid 3 stars.

Service was spotty. I think it was more of a training and time on the job problem rather than a personality problem …
This is definitely one of the better bars in the area.

Maybe it was because of Monday Night Football… but cold onion rings and cold ettoufee??? Service took WAY too long and was WAY too wrong when they messed up a very simple order.
really nice building and great décor… just please get it together.
Set the bar low and you maybe you’ll be pleased.

I had just one slightly bad experience here out of the many times I have been however, management seems to have taken care of the problem and that is good business!
