I have been coming here since I was a kid in the 1960s so I have fond memories. It’s a real piece of Americana from the turn of the century(nineteenth century that is). It’s next to the old Jackson rail station which must have been a busy spot up until the 1950s. It’s hard to imagine that the water from the well has been flowing continuously for over 100 years. It has a strong sulphur odor and I didn’t taste it due to the«untreated» warning but I remember doing it as a kid and not liking the taste. Make sure to visit the railroad museum next door if it’s open.
