Staff seem to think they are working at a designer only consignment shop. They act snooty and watch patrons so closely that it becomes really uncomfortable. Honestly, though, The Hodge Podge is no better than an overpriced Goodwill.

As far as consignment shops go, this one is most definitely my favorite around here. The clothes are organized by size and style. Inventory is on a strict rotating schedule so there are always new things coming in and they only accept the best. Every piece is carefully looked over to make sure it isn’t falling apart, no stains, as well as in season and in style. The staff is so awesome about finding out what you need and helping you find items that meet your criteria since they know what is in stock like the back of their hand. They even come complete with fashion tips and will give you an honest opinion about something you’re trying on if need be. They only cater to women — no kids, no men. They do have a «juniors» section. They carry a wide variety: Shoes Boots Purses Accessories Sweaters PJs Winter Coats Spring Jackets Jeans Shorts Dresses Business Business Casual Gowns Bathing Suits Etc. A lot of times you’ll find items that still have the tags on for a fraction of the original cost. As far as consigning, it is so easy. You walk in the backdoor with your pre-hung load of clothes, they inspect, give you a receipt and off you go. Then either you have in-store credit when your items sell or they mail you a check with a breakdown of what pieces sold for how much.
