Solid place for a traditional Midwestern breakfast. Small dining room but you can usually get a seat. I’ve been there probably 5 times and I was always happy with my choice. Breakfast is serve fast hot and cheap! I love greasy spoon dive’s like this! The staff works like crazy to serve you. I’ll be back again and again.

My wife and I have been trying to eat here for a few weeks with no luck. First attempt I called to ask what their hours were and was sternly told«Noon SHARP!». As it was 11:30 I got the distinct feeling this was her way of saying, «Don’t even think about it!». Fast forward to this week, we show up and the place is packed, which is a great sign! Everyone’s food looks awesome and the place smells great, but there is nowhere to sit. We stand awkwardly in the doorway for about 5 minutes being passed by staff without anyone acknowledging our presence before we decide to leave and go to Hickory House. The food is apparently great from what I hear, but it’s not worth the hassle and lack of frendliness. Maybe you have to be a regular?

Everyone is so sweet at this café! Customers seemed to be regulars. The food is good. The atmosphere is unrushed and comfortable. There are so many pies to choose from! Thereis a collection of pie birds. I had no idea what a pie bird was, but the café owner explained what they were. There’s lots of other menu items to choose from, such as breakfast items, sandwiches, etc…
