This is one of two of the nicest apartment complexes in Jackson, MI for professionals. It’s set in a lovely location off the road, so you don’t get too much traffic. The buildings are brand new, a nice size, and each comes with a full size washer and dryer, as well as a very small storage shed on the porch/balcony — about ½ the size of an extra closet — it’s nice to have. The complex is very well — professionally maintained, the staff is nice, and selective to whom they rent — i.e. they check references. There’s a small, but very nice pool which never seems to be crowded, as well as a lovely room available for party rental. The one thing I have to ding them on is while I give them kudos for making EVERY1st floor apartment handicapped accessible, they PROHIBITSERVICEDOGS!!! I have no problem with an across the board no pets policy; there are people who are getting away with having small(yappy) dogs, and yet they will tell you up front you will be evicted if you, or a guest, has a SERVICEDOG in your apartment. Although I don’t have one, I know that’s against the law, and I told them sooner or later they were going to get sued by someone for discrimination. They didn’t seem bothered by that. They might want to look into the American’s with Disabilities laws.

I don’t live here yet but my husband and I just went in to look at the place! Grounds are gorgeous and well kept. Leasing office is very nice as well. The lady who took us to see an apartment was very friendly. The model apartment was well decorated decently priced for what it came with(dishwasher, washer and dryer in apartment, outdoor storage, and walk-In closet, and more) and just a nice feel overall! We are planning to move in as soon as possible and will update if anything chances once that happens!

Trillium Point Apartments in Jackson, Michigan are very reasonably priced, well maintained, and the staff are courteous, friendly and quick to help with any situation. I really enjoy living here. However, there are some things that prevent me from giving five stars: 1) The walls are paper thin so you are constantly inundated with the sounds of footsteps, conversations, other people’s TVs, and washers/dryers running. It seems they really skimped on the construction. I have lived in a lot of apartment buildings in my 50+ years of life and never have I lived in one where the sound of other tenants was so intrusive. 2) The options for TV and Internet are the apartments own low-cost channel lineup and something like an up-to 1.5Mbps Internet connection, or DISH network and AT&T DSL Internet. DSL? Really? In this day and age of 21Mbps cable and fiber optic Internet, we are stuck with DSL? At AT&T DSL, I pay for up to 6Mbps but normally only get 1 – 1.5Mbps. It’s just how AT&T operates and if you call to complain, they blame it on your router, even though I am on my third router, all different makes and models, including the one with AT&T’s logo on it. I can’t even watch a Youtube video without going to get a cup of coffee while I wait for it to download enough data to run without stopping and starting every second. I know this bad service isn’t the fault of Trillium Point, but TP should offer us a better alternative. Trillium Point, if you want satisfied customers, talk with Comcast, FIOS or U-Verse and let them run cables up to your property. Give us the real Internet, not just one rung above dial-up. UPDATE(July ’14) Trillium Point increased their Cable Internet Speed to 3Mbps, and then again to 6Mbps. Unlike with AT&T DSL, when they say 6, you are really getting 6, or very close to it. I have added a star.
